half term = revision. 9 exams after half term = a lot of revision. i don't have time to be strolling around B&Q when i need to be reading up on all my subjects. instead of having to spend a whole load of hours trying to find info for just a couple of questions, i though i'd post in the OFF TOPIC section, and might get more than a handful of answers from people who do know what they are talking about.

that was clearly too much to ask. oh well, i'll know better next time.

i don't mess about in lessons, seeing as you don't even know me i don't know why you'd even bother making that assumption. we've spent all of this year doing the coursework, and we've been set a few past exam papers for homework, nothing to do with messing about in lessons.

cool, would make a change - i'm so used to arcade games that when i try to brake into T1 on lfs i just end up going into walls :P

some of them yes. i'll have a quick look in the shed, although i'm not very good at working out what materials something is, apart from the obvious.

yeah, some more work with speed, e.g. slow mo crash, then as one of the cars speeds away go back up to full speed - maybe some more effects as well? i'm no expert just trying to think of a few things

There, I tried to be funny but failed I guess the reason why you posted was to get hand on the knowlege about the subject the fast and easy way. I am sorry that I canot help you, because I have no clue what it actually is about, best thing would of course be to read the books and try to understand it - because it will stand there, but second thing would be to ask internet for advice.
You were a little unlucky this time, since everyone thought this was a nice situation to start a flamewar on, however - ignore this and continue your journey on google, I am sure you can find more help there and sollution for what you are asking for

i did take your advice but the amount we need to know is minimal but quite detailed - just what materials/design features, not really enough to make it book-worthy. also i wasn't demanding links, i was just replying to the genius who assumed i hadn't tried googling it yet...

text books don't have anything about it, the whole hand tools crap is just for this year - each year on the second DT paper, there are a couple of questions related to a specific topic, in the mocks it was hand drills for example, and this year its garden hand tools. for that reason it wouldn't be in any DT books and its up to us to try and find stuff on them. i was expecting there to be some website or other somewhere that had the information i needed, but was clearly a bit naive. i'm just going to have to look at a few pics of hand tools and work out the materials used etc. myself.

i need to know about single and interchangable tools, materials used, construction, ergonomics, use, function and features.

those just tell you how much they cost, i need more detail
