On second thought - I HAVE the money given to me this Christmas, but my mom doesn't want me to pay because she thinks it's too much, and anyways I'm 4th year high school next year so very little time for LFS. Plus I was gonna buy a new iPod
LFS lags a lot when a lot of people are in your vision. Here are some settings that can raise FPS.
-Set full size textures to off- it's a big drop in texture memory
-Turn off flags
-Turn off full wheels
-it might be too much, but turning off ALL REARVIEW MIRRORS is actually pretty helpful in fps, although you'd have to keep looking back to see who's overtaking. Pretty bloody dangerous
Here's a beta ricer kit for the XRG made with Blender and internal rendering engine Needed to make it fast... Lots of errors still, like the exhaust. Will make a touring car kit for XRG soon.
BTW can someone send me an XRR rollcage in .blend because I can't be arsed to delete the whole XRR body just to get the cage.
I agree about the tuning thing. Soon enough people will find the optimal aerodynamic setup for each track configuration and engine tuning is pointless 'cause then everyone would use the highest available horsepower or torque. Seriously, the OP was pretty brave in posting this one.
Even though the devs never look here, I'd suggest something that resembles the Audi R8 Le Mans race cars. No, not the GT3 one, the GT.... argh, I forgot the number. All I know is that it races the Sarthe.
