To say that LFS is dead is flat out not true.

It's slowly withering to death.
Vast difference.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Meh, was anticipated.

I suppose that makes it perfectly ok

On the SBR Am car moving to pro. I would guess that as it moves to the 'more competitive' for lack of a better term, class, it should keep it's Am points to at least be on terms with teams in class after 2 rounds.

Seeing as their drivers are classed as Am drivers I think it is a really bold and good move of them to move to Pro. Especially as they have proven their worth on the race track so far this season.

Oscar.

Nice to know you bunch have been around for so long. In all honesty NDR is, has been and will continue to be the most important team in competitive league racing in LFS and I hope that it stays that way until S3... ... ... So those extra 5 years might just be needed Mr. Palmer.

Thanks for saying so. I might just try and stick to the commentary all season so I have a reason to not get in the car at all

Quote from xtraction :or not? continue the race and give laps back from time outs post race.

After 75% race distance the race can be called at full points. It was. This is because a 20 lap dash is not representative of a 500km race. Also bear in mind in that distance anything retarded that happens which would happen with some of the driving today would mean even more skewed results as a result of peoples lack of brain power. Again, something that was shown on more than one occasion today.

It's a long season. Get ready for the next round and move along.

Quote from IsaacPrice :So Sascha wins because he was out of sync with pitstops? Gratz admins manipulating the results.

GenR deserved to win based on what had happened upto that point, just not that car.

Oh boo hoo. It's racing and was the best overall decision that could be made at that point.

It was last time LFSCART came here. I am hoping to make this one because FE4 still plays host to both my best qualifying and race results in my brief LFSCART career. That was a 3rd in qualifying and a 6th in the race. I imagine I won't be even remotely close to that this time out.

Quote from Raven88 :Did I put my car in gaps were there was a gap, yes. But only because I knew there was enough gap and it was the only place to go.

I Luurrve the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

Quote from Raven88 :I'd rather crash out knowin I gave it my all unlike you you who didn't. I know I didn't leave anything on the table. I didn't win but had one of the top cars. I can live with that. I can't live by racing half assed. That's why I take responsibility for an accident if it's my fault.

Then man the hell up and take some for driving like a complete tard early on trying to get through the field.

Oval racing in LFS is a mental disorder. I only remember one decent oval race and there have been many many more than that which have been a farce.

I am angry at my provider for my timeout but happy that I got my evening back.

If each caution is on average 3 laps and we lose 2 for formation.

That leaves us 266 laps. Divide that by the 3 laps for each caution plus the one we get on green so 4.

266/4 = number of cautions = 66.5 (Round down to 66 for optimism reasons)

^^ Logic ^^

I ran a .98 on my run after a .05 first split. Best lap I ever did

Qualifying and Bump day for the 500 has always been more exciting and fun for me than the race. Think it might just be me though.

Quote from boothy :The rules are pretty clear, leader holds SC speed so that everyone behind knows what's happening.

Not what I was told but I will rectify that.

I have been informed that provided the speed decrease is gradual that when the saftey car pulls away I can drop my speed as low as 80kph (50 mph) and so when I (The 42) was leading and had two drivers in the same TS channel directly behind me slowing down to use first gear on starts to get the jump was the optimal way of us breaking away from the pack. Seeing as I won the race I would guess that this is an affective and useful strategy for restarts. Also working with people at the front and forming a gap early can help spread out the field and minimize wrecks. Please note the 30 odd laps of green we managed after the first yellow where I was leading and worked with the 01 to build a gap.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Not really necessary to post that for the public

It's aimed at the public and EVERYONE wanting to do the race. Not just the select few who have been acting like tards. It is needed... this race can be great provided everyone is on the same page and has proven a good level of on track maturity.
