On the SBR Am car moving to pro. I would guess that as it moves to the 'more competitive' for lack of a better term, class, it should keep it's Am points to at least be on terms with teams in class after 2 rounds.
Seeing as their drivers are classed as Am drivers I think it is a really bold and good move of them to move to Pro. Especially as they have proven their worth on the race track so far this season.
Nice to know you bunch have been around for so long. In all honesty NDR is, has been and will continue to be the most important team in competitive league racing in LFS and I hope that it stays that way until S3... ... ... So those extra 5 years might just be needed Mr. Palmer.
After 75% race distance the race can be called at full points. It was. This is because a 20 lap dash is not representative of a 500km race. Also bear in mind in that distance anything retarded that happens which would happen with some of the driving today would mean even more skewed results as a result of peoples lack of brain power. Again, something that was shown on more than one occasion today.
It's a long season. Get ready for the next round and move along.
It was last time LFSCART came here. I am hoping to make this one because FE4 still plays host to both my best qualifying and race results in my brief LFSCART career. That was a 3rd in qualifying and a 6th in the race. I imagine I won't be even remotely close to that this time out.
I have been informed that provided the speed decrease is gradual that when the saftey car pulls away I can drop my speed as low as 80kph (50 mph) and so when I (The 42) was leading and had two drivers in the same TS channel directly behind me slowing down to use first gear on starts to get the jump was the optimal way of us breaking away from the pack. Seeing as I won the race I would guess that this is an affective and useful strategy for restarts. Also working with people at the front and forming a gap early can help spread out the field and minimize wrecks. Please note the 30 odd laps of green we managed after the first yellow where I was leading and worked with the 01 to build a gap.
It's aimed at the public and EVERYONE wanting to do the race. Not just the select few who have been acting like tards. It is needed... this race can be great provided everyone is on the same page and has proven a good level of on track maturity.
