Have a look at the first few posts in this thread http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=482359#post482359

I, myself haven't used suit or glove skins yet but it looks as if you have to replace the original skins with your own skins. Also suit and glove skins will not show up to other drivers online, and also be aware that overwriting your original skins will make other drivers appear to use your suit skin (if they are using the same suit that you have overwritten).

If you haven't made your suit skin yet then I suggest you download the skin kits from Master Skinnerz (http://www.lfs-gear.com)

I recently just finished reading The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart. Amazing book. Insanely funny, disturbingly shocking, and makes some very interesting points about current psychiatric practices along with some interesting theories on freeing ones suppressed desires by the roll of a dice; the god of chance.
I normally don't read fiction but this book is certainly on my favorites list now.

Just about to start reading The Divided Self by Dr. Ronald David Laing. A study into existential psychology with the purpose of making madness and the process of going mad comprehensible.

MR2 in France apparently resembles "merde" from what I can remember... any French people care to clarify this?

Also I seem to remember a cleaning product, originally named Jif (i think) changed its name to Cif because of being a profanity in some other country - I can't remember what country it was.

Bogey Jammer made a nice and easy render kit for Blender. It's very easy to make a basic render even for someone with no knowledge of 3D modelling.

Good luck with your insurance, your going to need it, especially if your going on your own policy and not a named driver on someone else's policy. I've been driving for 5 years and I'm now paying #165 a year fully comprehensive on a 1999 1.1 litre Peugeot - a shit car but insurance has dropped considerably from the first year of #1700 :S

I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice.
As you may be aware, failure to disclose any material facts will void your policy. This does include decals or even factory wheels off a different version of the car.
Insurance companies will try anything to avoid a payout (see Cutter -v- Eagle Star Insurance)
If you intend to defraud the company you must also disclose this information (see Patel -v- Windsor Life Assurance Company).
". . . plainly failed to disclose a material fact when applying . . . namely, that he was seeking to defraud . . . He was obliged to make this disclosure pursuant to his duty of utmost good faith."

Thanks for the quick reply.

About the FFB in the centre. What I mean is, on the G25 when driving in a straight line the FFB is almost non-existant because of the dual motors trying to fight each other and a lack of centring spring (Logitech have acknowledged this as part of the design).

What i'm asking is, is the FFB as strong in the centre of the wheel as it is around the complete rotation?

What does the motor feel like in this wheel? What I mean is, on my G25 the feeling of the motor is a bit bumpy/notchy (it's hard to describe but it feels "mechanical"). An example of what I mean is try lightly brushing your finger across a row of keys on your keyboard and the bumpy gaps as you go across feels like the motor in the G25.
Does this wheel have that feeling?

Also what is the FFB like when the wheel is centred? The G25 sucks at this because of the dual FFB motors.

Cheers

Have you tried searching the entire registry for any reference to that file?

Also I recommend you download a copy of HijackThis. When you run the scan it will show you a list of your startup programs. Have a look down the list and see if you can see the file and then just delete it.

[edit] ooooh that log weren't there before lol [/edit]

[edit2] bloody hell. look at all that crap on startup! [/edit2]

[edit3]
all the ones that say (file missing) at the end, you are safe to delete. The one your looking for is here, O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [1d0f117a] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\icijfapv.dll",b

You should be able to find it in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

Seeing as there is no information on the internet available for this file I reckon it's probably one of the viruses that you cleaned out but it seems to be linked to the system.
All I can suggest is that you do a search through all your startup files (registry, services etc) for any reference of this file and then delete it.

Have you got a copy of HiJackThis?

[edit] It may well be worth formatting and starting a fresh after such a big infection. [/edit]

For me it was the physics combined with the ALPHA tag. For a program in alpha state Live For Speed is truly amazing and it keeps getting better and better. The choice was simple, pay 30 quid for a buggy retail product with worse physics than my school grades or Live For Speed for 24 quid and the satisfaction of an already great product that has a development team geared up to keep making it better.

The first time I played I got severe understeer and just let go of the keyboard in shock "wow that was supposed to happen but I wasn't expecting it"

The Outsider by Albert Camus and The Psychopathology of Everyday Life by Sigmund Freud were the last couple of books I read.

I'm currently reading Patterns of the Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H. Erickson M.D Volume 1 by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.
The next book on my list will be Volume 2 if I can find a copy and if not then it'll probably be Uncommon Therapy The Psychiatric Techniques of Milton H. Erickson M.D by Jay Haley

I used to play allot back in the beta days when Counter Strike was a free mod for Half Life. I stopped playing when it went retail as it seemed to lose the something special it used to have (I don't know what - maybe because they made the jumping like DoD or maybe it lost it's eliteness)
As for Counter Strike Source, I never did grasp what people were raving on about. To me it's the same game with better graphics, yet people would talk about it like it was something completely original.

As pb said, try and find someone with a guest pass so you can try it for a few days. I'd offer one but I don't have any, but if your interested in Half Life 2 I have a "gift" available. Essentially the "gift" is the full game for free. If your interested give me a shout.

I have a very similar setup as you do mobiholik and I also get similar FPS drops but only at starts or when there's a mass of cars around me. It's the physics causing this for me as just reving the engine produces a slight FPS drop. To be fair though I am not surprised that the physics cause these FPS drops as the amount of calculations going on is insane.

I don't know what to suggest though. I've tried everything to try to increase my FPS from full grid starts but no matter what settings I use, my FPS stays the same. It's really strange getting the same FPS when using low graphic settings on low resolutions to using full graphic settings on high resolutions.
The one option that does increase my FPS is the User LOD, but to get that extra 10-15FPS from full grid starts I have to settle with funny shaped triangular wheels

I get this invisible block and/or missing texture at the end of the pits (chicane rev end of pits) This is the same on all configs that use these pits.
The invisible block is like a spring if you get too close to the wall it can bounce you away. You have to be very close and coming from a certain angle most of the time, although this block seemed to move very slightly after restarting exe a few different times but seemed to remain focused in that area

Thank you. I think I see where I went wrong. I forgot what the original argument was LOL. I got information overload with all the numbers.

Still, wouldn't the answer have simply been 4GiB instead of 4GB? I'm still confused as to why you can express it as 4,294,967,296 GiB.

Thanks for the reading suggestions though. I now understand why I get ripped off with HDD's
I'll keep racking my brain over it though. Good stuff. I gave up with computers years ago. I couldn't keep up, both financially and mentally.

Gibibyte? Wtf, thats a new un

I'm just confused why you can write so many billion GiB and it still equates to 4GB?
Would not the correct answer have simply been 4GiB instead of 4GB? Wiki is basically telling me 4,000,000,000 = 4GB, or 4,294,967,296 = 4GiB.

Please explain.

Actually, it would be 4,294,967,296 Bytes

If the hack uses a modified LFS.exe then could the Master Server or a anti-cheat program running on the server check for this and then just disconnect with an error stating that the LFS.exe is incompatible (wrong size, bad checksum etc etc).
