I once sold a "Hand crafted 3.5mm Jack Plug Keyring" for about 50p. Basically I was soldering a jack plug and knackered it up by squashing the plug accidentally which made the terminals connect together. I thought about it and decided to use one of those keyring hoops and bodge that on. Then sold it as the "finest hand crafted keyring".

Although I must say they have come along way since the release of "The Vault" and that remix of Voodoo People ain't half bad.Back on topic, I do like the idea you've put forward. I'd be interested in being a road user depending on what sort of time this is happening. I'm from England but tend to be up at strange times.

Maybe your Hard Drive access? I find when I reinstall windows 2k it changes my HDD drive access to PIO mode and I then have to change it do DMA.
It made a big difference with Logic Audio and loading loads of wave samples from hdd (I could use 16 separate channels for wave before it lagged with DMA enabled rather than 4)
I don't know but, laggy hard drive could drop the fps by not streaming the data fast enough and seeing as your computer is pretty old i'm guessing your virtual memory is working overtime

Ok, update. I've done the best I can really do, although if there are any bits that you want changing do let me know.
I didn't know what to do with the rear end so I kept it simple.

I'm working on trying to get the number 64 right atm.

I'm with RAC and i've been very happy with the service they provide so far. I have never used the AA but i've heard they are not so good, bearing in mind that your reputation preceeds you. If I had to choose now, considering i've heard the reputation of the AA but never heard a single story of the RAC, i'd go for RAC.
Heres a little semi-unrelated story. A few years back my car was used as a "destruction derby" vehicle by a bunch of joyriders - I was driving my car but I was brutally rammed, rammed and rammed off the road - my car was a write off. The incident happened at about 8.30PM at which point I phoned 999 and spoke to the police. Shortly after, I phoned the RAC to have my car towed away. Both the RAC and the police knew of what happened, but the RAC were the only ones that showed any emotional support - with the RAC making regular phone calls to both me and my mother asking if we were alright and giving me updates of the ETA of the pickup. At about 9.15pm my car was towed approximately 15 miles to my "local" mechanic. 3.00
am and I recieved a phone call from the police saying they have an officer "willing" to see me now!! Obviously I told them I was no longer at the crime scene, and they said that I "need to come in to your local station tommorow 'if' you want to make a statement".
In this situation the RAC were much better at providing a service and additional support than the police. Quite frankly the police were not interested.
Two days later when I travelled past the location of where the incident occured, some unlucky chap had his newish Subaru WRX smashed up and abandoned. What a lovely area - "gun capital" of Nottingham.

Indeed, one would think that. People I know who love NFS say they like the game because you can fly around corners. When they do crash, I tell them to use the brake and they reply with "F<AUP> using the brake, its more fun". Oh well.
Of course the people I know don't make up the whole population that greatly enjoy the NFS series, its just that all of them I know say the same thing, "braking isn't fun, driving fast is".
Hopefully some will be converted and start to enjoy having to use the brake. Good braking technique is essential in racing as i'm sure most of us LFSers know that.

I'm in two minds as to whether you guys are being serious about not understanding the post.
My interpretation is, the OP attended a kart track day in real life. OP stated the amount of people that were already at the track (6 people). After he left the event his memory of the days olfactory senses stayed with him - i'm presuming the alcohol smell is a reference to Ethanol.
Now, after the OP experienced this event IRL, i'm guessing he's saying that he appreciates the physics of the game more than before (also based on the thread title), and because of experiencing a similar activity IRL, OP feels like he has a heightened sense of the tyre physics in the game now than he did before attending the "kart event". The "rubber, well the rubber, omg" could be a neurological synesthesia between his auditory memory and an internal representation of the olfactory sensation of 'burning rubber'.
