I think this is the data sheet of your CPU. Thermal throttling from 55 degrees and more.

Check like mentioned before ( in case there is one ) if your CPU fan or some other fan in your PC cabinet has gone loose or has stopped working at all.

Second, but I doubt it as you say your PC worked just some days ago, check your bios settings that you don´t have any "Noise Reduction" settings activated
Check the setting: On-Demand Mode - system level power consumption as well.

Quote from ajp71 :Absolutely, the whole concept of a server side option is really silly.

It was ment as a suggestion, a proposal, a compromise as the new patch doesn´t repair engine damage anymore.

I agree with the OP.
Here is my proposal:

Quote from ajp71 :@R.Kolz - what are you driving and what the hell are you doing to it? The FXR and XRR cannot have clutch issues, unless you are really bad at pulling away from the pit box and the road cars I've tried didn't suddenly start frying clutches without me having to adapt my driving style.

R.Kolz is my S2 licenced profil and you´ll find out that half of my S2 life is AS3 and FXR.

I´m not at all thinking of myself here.

Quote from Glenn67 :.....Give it some time....

Hi there

of course I will give it some time but I just don´t want to see a final patch going public without thinking of endurance races.

Quote from ajp71 :So how does one cool a clutch (other than wait) maybe you could dissemble half the car in the pit box put an ice pack on your clutch then put it back together, in what 30 seconds? Simple solution, wait and don't overheat it next time, just being heat and not permanent damage (unrealistic I might add ) you aren't actually going to be taken out of endurance races just yet.

The current engine damage requires really optimistic down shifting over a long period of time or a really special mistake, both of which would be likely to result in bits of engine flying all over the track.

I see your sarcasm here.

Actually I´d rather have my pitcrew getting all the ice(-cream) they can get from this very racetrack and putting it on the clutch then handling over a damaged/overheated racecar to my teammate TBO.

"Unrealistic I might add" you state about the introduced clutch performance, and I agree.

I talked to some ppl. meanwhile and in their oppinion the damage/heat isn´t really the problem but more its outcome. It´s too much of a damage like too much of a heating problem the X30-way.

"you aren't actually going to be taken out of endurance races just yet."

You better think twice here.

No chance I´ll continue a endurance race with some engine damage.

As it is a race simulator - it´s still a game and we´re talking endurance races and not the short stuff, you know.

Pls. keep this in mind.

Quote from james12s :there is no clutch damage to repair, it is heat and the time taken a clutch is ages

I´m aware of the new patch introduces clutch overheating and not clutch damaging.
I never sayed anything about clutch damage repairing but engine repairing. Not sure I get your point here.

@ I can see your point now. It´s the headline " Engine/clutch repairs as a server option pls.". It should have stated: " Engine repairs/ /clutch overheating as a server option pls."

Thanks for your comments. It´s not about how you should race an endurance race but about still having a server side option to get your engine repaired during an endurance race.

If no server admin would use this option you could remove it on next patch.Time would show and mayby proove me wrong.

I think some endurance test races with the new patch would make my point more clear as well.
Engine/clutch repairs as a server option pls.

Like the "car reset" - "no car reset" I´d like to see "fix engine damage" as an server option.

Or even better, include clutch-overheating as an server option as well.

I´m afraid this new patch might be a difficult implementation for LFS endurance racing.

As an extreme example:

24hours races where you will have to drive 20 hours of them with a damaged engine just isn´t cool. It´s no fun at all.

Retire from the race then? Yes.

Was it a good LFS experience ? No.

AI´s can´t drive the LX6/RAC/FZ50 on the rallytracks (BL2/FE5) anymore.

@they continue their pitstops outside the pits. Se att.files.

Quote from unseen :Strange.... I`m seeing a lot of red text error messages in the console when running a hidden x30 dedi server. They loudly proclaim FATAL NET ERROR : NOTCONN yet neither myself or Electrik Kar are lagging, disconnected, or seeing any interruption in gameplay.

Is this just a debug line or something?

Same MSG here on a X12 server but everything looks fine.

[TDRT] Riise had just finished our new TDRT ( Hi -resolution ) FXO skins and he was the only one who had uploaded it to LFSWorld. We were 4 TDRT cars on server A using this skin.
Some people from server B changed to server A after the qualification.
After 40 secs. some cars gets spun in T1 and their speed becomes under a XX Km/h and I wonder if a huge skin download started causing this massive lag seen yesterday.

"Hi racers,
I would like to account for a Crasher in Demo mode race called SCM yesterday evening, this is below 2 sceenshoots about this.
It is possible to sanction racers who have mad driving in Race?"

Dropping hot ashes or losing the tip of a cigarette, mayby some coffee all over your desktop because of the FF of your wheel. Been there, done that. Shit happens.I could have been Racer SCM in some situations.

I could emagine that some sons/wifes/girlfriends want to "test" LFS. Online, interactive and not just against some bots. Of course they´d choose a demo server and not a CTRA one.
You get warned every time you go demo online. See att. file.

But I´m surprised about the NOT moderating of this "Flame, Blame and Shame" thread and I´d like to see a replay more then just 2 pics. in case the policy of the forums have changed.

My advice to Richthofun72 would be find yourself a good demo server as your stats show you like the XFG and BL1 and stick to it so that people get to know you. Almost 1 year ago TDRT had a IMO nice demo server, ZION had an even better one where most of the people knew eachother and had a lot of fast and fair races all the time. Crashers/wreckers had an extreamly short life in there.

And I even kicked Biohazard from our demo server the very first time he joined and drove in front of the leadergroup which I interpretated as not obeying a blue flag. And YES: Of course he´d drove away from all of us..

I wouldn´t override anything on a new LFS install. Just copy/paste your old car settings files found in LFS/data/settings and your own old skin files found in LFS/data/skins into your equivalent new subdirectories.

Info only:
Singleplayer replays are to be found in your LFS/data/spr folder and Multiplayer replays are in the LFS/data/mpr folder in case you want to keep these as well.
