This old WIN98 machine of yours probably uses PC100 or PC133 type ram. Your newer PC prob. uses DDR or even DDR2 ram. In case I´m right your older stick physically won´t even fit in your ram socket.
But have a look. I´d give it a try.
This program then would get you the needed information about your ram speed before and after your possible upgrade (under memory). http://www.cpuid.com/
1.I guess it´s always the same never ending discussion about rejoining on a DC and telepitting as for some it´s a serious race sim and for some others it´s "just" a game. I like more the second oppinion on this matter and your rule will exclude some people with somehow weak internet connections from participating in your league.
Add. it´s very unfortunate to end on the roof last turn because of somebody others fault resulting in a DNF according to your ruleset. But we´ll exept it as we have to.
2. T1 is always dangerous. Rolling start makes it even more dangerous as you´re going to add another 80km/h on every car on track. Ppl. will prob. have done some practising before this event - some races as well - not "rolling start races" but "normal" races this means they are forced to do something they haven´t practiced.
3.But it´s fine for me as well to have this rolling start but shouldn´t there be some rolling start rules in your ruleset then?
4. You might wanna check my last IGTC league objections where its rolling start IMO divided the field into two parts.
5. Long post , sorry. Looking forward for the race to come.
Try playing arround with your AA settings in the graphics settings menu. Just change it to a higher OR lower value and cross your fingers. You are not the only one with this problem... It happens with Nvidia cards as well as with ATI cards.
Sure there is no AGP port on your motherboard? Better check once more.
1 or better 2 sticks of 512mb ram and a Pentium CPU will help your overall system performance. Even a 1.8Ghz P4a will outperform your 2.X Celeron due to its difference in the L2 cache ( 128kb-512kb).
I never managed to develop a decent raceset for the FXO lasting these 12 laps for this evening.
First race, I hit the very last tyrestack last chikane and I found myself in spectator mode..
I by myself put them there actually - the layout for todays race..
Second race, I start on pole and win. Very nice..
Last one I finish 3rd after a very nice battle with DPRT J.Valentin, MWizard in his XRT but..
I´m very sorry about hitting UNITY Cramer exiting the pits on last lap. Didn´t mean to. I´s just too fast...
Thanks to all the organizers and admins of the IGTC league.
Congratulations to the podium finishers as well.
I´m aware of that I gave some of you a hard time last round but starting next season we´ll try to do the same on the IGTC tracks as well...
Messed up the Q tonight. Last place . Add. 1 penalty received for my chatting. Couldn´t have been worse.
I wasn´t used to a GT2 cars at all. Tomorrow we need to get into the gearbox before race start, I think.
Sorry for the " Hello" mgs. "Hello " and ":-)" were attached to the G25 gearshifter. It´s changed now...
I think this is going to be a great event with one of the best race/organisation concepts to be found like your UNITY MINI league just has proved.
You def. can count me in for this league. I will recommend your upcoming series to my teammates as well as the teams I have some close contacts to.
If you want me to, I´ll provide the LFSstats right after every event. I think a lot of guys like going through the stats after a finished race event.
Suggestions:
1.IMO the 2nd race event Blackwood GP should get replaced with Westhill but this is just a matter og personal taste, I guess.
Been on demo almost 1 year I´m all fed up with BL1 and BL1 rev..
2. Introduce the 107% ( mayby 110% ) off the WR-time rule to ensure that every participating racer has been doing some practising in order to get "clean" races...
3.The LFSRace spectator would be nice to get connected to your server for the various events. A live stream would be even better..
My sign up for your series:
Racer Name: [TDRT] R.Kolz LFS World name: R.Kolz
Good luck, Kenn. Looking forward to race your series.
Existing rule: 7. If for some reason the player gets disconnected, they are allowed to join and spectate in the server but not to participate in the race.
My proposal: 7. If for some reason the player gets disconnected, they are allowed ONCE to rejoin the race. Your total amount of laps is mended together, however you will get 2 laps penalty.
Reason: Any of us can get PC or internet troubles and for some racers even a 2 lap penalty still would keep them on a decent race position. Once only because it can be pretty anoying for the ppl . on the server if somebody simply doesn´t have a good enough internet connection and he´d connect and disconnect all the time during a race.
Of course if somebody not uses the pitlimiter and others are instructed to activate them (in this case the yellow car in the middle of the grid) or simply follow the, what they think are rules, it gives some an advantage and some others an disadvantage. In the case of round 8 it almost divided the field twice with TDRT #21/#22 car unfortunatly at the middle/back of the grid. See att. file. It shows the round 8 IGTC race start as well as the SC start.
Is there a a nice person inhere willing to translate the IGTC-ruleset in German or Danish?
I don´t understand rules E and H anymore. I now have spent a lot of time and I still don´t understand these rules the way they are right now.
Comment BenijMC:
"Just for clarification, The 2 car rule is for when your NOT on your pit limiters. As soon as the "Fall in line, Pit limiters on" message is displayed your supposed to fall in line, bunch up and activate pit limiters, thus 2 cars is no longer in force. You can try to bunch up by de-activating the pit limiter BRIEFLY however."
and:
"Secondly my post above as a reply to John Holme is wrong, you are meant to keep the 2 car gap when on pit limiters."
Comment banshee56:
"We were told over Ventrilo by Benji, that we could disengage the Pit Limiters if we needed to regulate the gap."

What´s that about now? As teamchief of TDRT i strongly believe that´s a part of my job.
We still had a finishing car, remember therefore it´s my right to post an objection as I felt my team was negatively affected by the alleged violation.
