Make sure you do exactly as the guide says:
choose your .minecraft.jar file in the "Output" field
Do not choose anything in the texture pack field.
choose 128 x 128 as the size in Xau's patcher.
Tick all three "animated xyz" options.
Leave the "custom xyz" options un-ticked.
Press the "Patch button" and let it complete.
Quit Xau's HD texture patcher.

Actually, the roll center is pretty much where the vehicle rolls 
The force that rolls the vehicle is the moment arm between CoG and the roll center. But there are several definitions of a roll center, and one is derived from the geometry of the suspension. It works in some instances, but if we imagine the vehicle tipping on it's side and driving on 2 wheels, it will of course be rolling on the bottom of the tyres like a bike, and not at the geometrical point. I guess that's my little contribution here

Actually, I don't think Notch has done anything about it.
You need to run this patcher, and choose the texture size. The game will be changed, so it backs up minecraft.jar automatically. You might want to keep a completely standard copy to begin with, because we'll be installing several mods to make it like mine.

And finally, BetterGrass and ambient occlusion is the last stuff you need for prettyness (you don't need the minimap and chat thing if you don't want it).

Wow, shops close at 5? I don't even live in a big city currently (I'm in Denmark), and the shops here are open for 7-8 on weekdays. A few of them are open until 8 sat and sunday. One store is open always.

It's only minecraft.jar, I think that's enough. Just do what you'd do with any other texture pack, it's already been patched for 128 textures 
Problem is, I have a few other mods, and it might not like it that you don't have those But try it.
The whole minecraft folder was 30 mb zipped, don't have time to upload that right now
