In real life, you wouldn't press 'I' on a keyboard to start the car. Maybe we need to start the cars in LFS with the mouse from now on, flipping a few switches and then starting it.
Also, how the hell does the gas get filled on the car? Maybe we should have to buy the gas first, then measure it off and fill it in. I think this is a good idea, like the real car.
I could continue for several pages.. What about not allowing people to drive with a keyboard, or not allowing wheels to turn with an unrealistic amount of degrees.
PS. Just messing with you.. It's the same argument tho
Clearly, from the bottom the blue line is better. With the red line, in most cars you won't be able to accelerate before you're going completely straight because of the sudden sharp turning. Blue is a LOT more smooth.
Yes something like this exactly It's just a minor annoyance, but I will compare it to turning on your vehicle in nKpro.. Too much realism in a game makes it ridiculous.
Just something I've been annoyed with recently: If you get stuck somewhere in the MRT, there's no way out except pitting.
In real life, you would be able to get out and turn the vehicle around, but since this isn't an option in LFS, we need a compromise - either by adding a reverse gear, or a special reset feature just for this vehicle.. I know it's not realistic, but this is a game and we need the compromises. Otherwise, I might as well play netKar
Oh damn that is actually quite amazing.. I'm very excited about that game, but I still wish LFS would do it. After all, LFS rarely disappoints.
The physics explained on their blog is sooo detailed, I will be quite impressed if they squeeze a reasonable amount of fps out. They even calculate fuel enthalpy using molecular weights of everything... Damn!
All kart sims I have tried sucks. My only hope is in LFS, actually.
BRKart for rFactor might be the very worst. Awful engine simulation and way too much grip on all tyres..
Well of course it doesn't, you can just go reverse and it will go the other way?
+1 for a mountain road. With time trial races The way togue is done (or what I have seen) is 1v1, where 1 person starts behind on the uphill, and the other person then starts behind on the downhill. The fastest time with both ways added together wins
It has already been explained why it's faster.. Slipstreaming on the straight makes a lot of difference in some cars, less in others (like XFG/XRG).
Also, hotlaps are checked with HLVC, which makes cutting corners practically impossible in valid laps.
