Once again many thanks to the guys from Burnout Crew for their help with the tracker.
As for your question, we are going to refine a few things, discuss a few things among our team... we are not sure when the league will start... but we hope that this end of spring start of summer ish.
Qualification over: attached you will find results.
Poor representation from the LX6 teams
Registration is open if anyone else wants to join for tomorow.
Also if tomorow we get a poor LX6 presence, the current LX6 teams that participated in the qual may race in LX4 but they would have to start at the back of the grid.
As far as qualification goes, more drivers of the same team are allowed on the server, but only 1 car per team is allowed on track. At the end of the qualification the fastest lap of the team will be used to set final grid.
Chatting will not be allowed during the event, both qualification and race. In qualification chatting will be penalised with -1 second off the fastest time, while in the race a Drivethrough will be issued.
Race marshalls will advise when chatting is allowed, and when it is not allowed.
Please enter the server using the correct name format:
(number) - (name) example: 19 - R. Radu
The race number should be in the color of your class, GT1 = Red / GT2 = Blue
The rest of the characters must be written in white.
The race:
Race start procedure will be as follows: 1 warm-up lap behind pace car, in single file, before final hairpin, cars will align in double file (based on their original starting position) pace car will exit the track via pitlane, at which point marshalls will signal green flag, and race is on.
What you all must understand, (at least from my point of view) the drivers had a lot to do with the whole race going completely wrong... almost half the field didnt know the safteycar procedures,
In my opinion, the admins acted very well, but the drivers need to open up wiki, and start reading about this type.
As a test track, we need a track that will cause lots of accidents so we can practice safetycar laps, a lot
Apparently, the server is rejecting... connections, some noob (me) forgot to setup some port forwarding... im sorry for the issues, im rezolving it as we speak.
Dont worry, Competition server will be hosted somewhere else, and should be no problem.
- Yes we are currently experiencing some issues with the server, trying to get it fixed, (wont have these problems with the competitional servers)
Just for the record we are allowing more cars from the same team... But if we do go into a League based event, then only one GT1 and one GT2 per team, but for now you can sign up with as many cars as you want.
GTS Motorsport is organising a test race for an upcoming league, involving endurance racing and the very infamous LX cars.
Introduction
- The event will be a multi class event, consisting of LX6 (GT1) and LX4 (GT2)
- The race will take place on Saturday (27th March 2010).
- The purpose of this event is to see, if this sort of endurance racing will be popular or not.
The race
- The race will take place on Westhill International
- The duration of the race will be 4 hours long.
- Race starts at 12:00 UTC,
- Race start procedure, includes a parade lap under the pace car, and then a flying start under the green flag. Cars will drive single file behind the pace car, upon reaching the last 2 turns onto the start/finish straight, the pace car will vacate the track, and the cars will form a double file formation. Once everything is in order the marshals' signal green flag and race begins.
- In case of disconnect, you may reconnect and continue your race, you will however be penalized 1 lap for the disconnect.
- In case you flip your car over, or you sustain major damage and are unable to make it back to the pits, you are allowed to Shift + P, and continue your race, but you will be penalized 1 lap.
- GT1 cars are responsible for the safe overtaking of GT2 cars, but if a GT1 car intends to overtake a GT2 car, and maneuvers as such, then the GT2 car must not 'close the door' on the GT1.
Qualification
- The qualifying session will be one day before the race, in this case on Friday( 26th of March) at 18:00 UTC.
- Qualifying will be 1 hour long, and will include all cars on track.
- During the qualifying session, shift + P and shift + S are allowed, however give way to traffic on fast laps, after entering the track, and while exiting the pit lane.
- Only one driver of each 'team' is allowed on track, if he or she spectates, then another driver from that team is allowed on track. At any given point no more then 1 driver per car per team on track.
Notes
- This will be a team based event, requiring minimum 2 drivers per team per car.
- Teams can sign-up for both cars, but only one team per car.
- The drivers from the GT1 class must not intertwine with the drivers from the GT2 class, teams must delegate separate drivers for each class (if the team chooses to participate in both classes)
- Bellow you will find info about the sign-up procedure.
