Even if it's a good idea, I still think that watching the WR replay or a good driver making fast laps remains the best way to learn everything you need to be fast on a specific combo.

Hi,
I don't knowif it's true, but I have read one day that diesel engines need less fuel because diesel fuel has more energy than petrol fuel.

By the way, did you heard about the VW 1.4L TFSI engine, with both supercharger and turbocharger ? It produces 170 hp and 240nm, which is very good for such a little engine, and doesn't use much fuel, compared to other petrol engine of this power, of course
Isn't it a better engine to compare diesel to ?

Another advice would be watching some WR's replays, you would learn a lot with it.

Even if you lack a lot of experience, you'll see the good lines to be fast

Kegetys has just released the version 1.05 of SoftTH, which implements cylindrical correction !

Unluckily, I don't have a 2nd graphic card to test it on my 3 screens...

Omg, I believed that the AI wasn't really learning but that it was an 'imitation' of learning.

I'm really surprised. Amazing AI. Too bad it's not fast enough to follow a good racer.

I know that there's already another thread about this, but not in the "Improvement Suggestions " section.
Increase maximum FOV limit

Even if it would be usefull only for people who play with 3 monitors, I think it would be a good idea to allow higher FOVs than 120°.

I'm asking this because I tried to run LFS with 3 screens, and as I tried to drive, I realised that 120° wasn't enough for such a wide view.

I borrowed a 2nd graphic card to test LFS with 3 screens, and it became obvious that 120° wasnt enough for that kind of rig. It gives me a much larger view, but the main screen displays a lot less than before, and it's quite disturbing.

I wish I could try with 140 or 150°...

I think it would be nice to have like rFactor an option for surround gaming, in order to correct the distortion.

Quote from splunk4u :Yeah, I can confirm it works very well on a 8800GTX in rFactor. I'm having other odd, not graphics related, problems in LFS.

I have it currently running at 5760x1200 85Hz. (1920x1200 on each monitor)

Performance rFactor is 4x AA and 16x AF at 28 FPS.

I can't get the border thing to work correctly though. Every time I try to enter a number in the field (any number), the game loads, but the graphics are un readable. This number is supposed to represent the number of pixels to be dropped, correct? So if my bezels were say 150 pixeles wide, I would enter 150 in that field?

Also, SLI does not seem to work well. I finally got it to work if I unistalled/reinstalled and added cards in a certain order, but the frame rate actually dropped to 9 FPS after SLI was enabled. Any thoughts?

Anyhow, here are the pics I promised.

Could you do some tests with LFS at 5760x1200 ? I'd like to know how smooth a 8800GTX can display so much pixels in this game
