BEHELET!!

Nope, Scawen himself said that Patch Z will be almost the same as Test Patch Y30.

Quote from h3adbang3r :Why should they hurry up? Do you want an unfinished S2 and a horribly buggy S3?

No, I don't want a buggy S2 or S3, what I meant is that when S3 comes along the developers' accounts will get a little fatter, as an incentive only.

Devs need to hurry and release S3, think the amount of money if only 25% of S2 accounts upgraded to S3! that's a lot of money!

Scawen should do something about this, the button rate should be at it's maximum speed equal to autoclutch's clutching rate.

I have to say that this thread is just absurd, there isn't any real proof that racing with a mouse is faster than wheel+pedals, you're basing all your argument about mouse racing being easier in the fact that people that use mouse for a long time are faster with mouse than with a wheel when you make the change, everyone who has made the change will tell you that you need some time to adapt in order to reach the same pace you had with your old controller, you have to learn to drive again, the theory is in your head, you know what you have to do to be fast but your cerebellum isn't used to it, it needs time and practice to archive that again, let me make an easy example for you, i'm almost sure you or almost everyone in here has played a FPS, and i'm guessing that you use WASD to move, the mouse to look and left button to fire, this is the standard, now if you radically change the button configuration to left mouse button to walk forward, right mouse button to walk backwards, move mouse to look, < to strafe left, > to strafe right and CTRL to shoot you'll start to make a lot of mistakes because you have to think which of the buttons do what you need to do, you still know what you have to do to kill the enemy but your brain doesn't know how to do it automatically in that way and when you change a mouse for a wheel in LFS the exact same thing happens, maybe if those stubborn mouse drivers tried to learn how to race with a wheel they could race at the same pace as they did with mouse.

If you want good sound fidelity don't buy creative, also remember that vista drivers are not the best drivers out there, maybe you should go for an M-Audio as MadCatX said or maybe some soundcard with god DAC and an Envy chip.

Quote from Inouva :First the momo g25 in argentina cost 1800Pesos , so is around 600u$s

The economy in mi country is the worst , everting is expensive , even live

Like i say above , come to live to arg , The dolar convertion is cr@p

1 buck = 3.15 pesos , do the calculations ....

So -1 to remobe mouse

Is the same i tell you , remobe the mouse to play Crysis or halo 3 or hl2

And use only the keyboard

First, a Logitech G25 costs 400usd in Argentina, not 600, and yes the currency exchange is 3.07 to 1 dolar, so it's about 1200 pesos to buy a G25 (mensual wages are about 4500 pesos for a doctor, 1700 for an average person and less than 1000 for a crappy job) so a G25 is kind of elite here, but you can always buy a used Microsoft Sidewinder for 100 pesos wich is less than you pay for an S2 licence that costs about 140 pesos, if you can afford S2 you can afford a sidewinder wheel, it's not necesary to have the lastest wheel to actually use a wheel.

I started playing LFS with mouse and I was fast, when I got my wheel I couldn't get my times right for about two or three weeks but after that period of time I got even faster, so what I'm saying is that those mouse racers could be faster if they wanted to train with a wheel.

In the end what is the difference if someone is faster with mouse? it's a hotlap, a mouse racer with the same level of a wheel racer just can't win a race fight, if you get a mouser out of their perfect line they are in big trouble, maybe there are some people that can keep fighting for a while but in the end throttle control is the key when you have to make THE move to pass your opponent or at least it is with my driving style.

I have less FPS in my old PC, the problems seems be due to the increased minimun graphics options, the lowest graphic settings are a lot higher that before or at least in my PC it is, LOD doen't seem to affect much now =/ for example in Y20 with minimum LOD tyre deformation wasn't drawn and now with the same settings it is.

Quote from deggis :There are dunes in Las Pampas?

No dunes in La Pampa, there is only soft hills, plains and lots of crops and cattle, I really don't know why the rally is starting in Buenos Aires, there is nothing to rally there, poor drivers they'll get pretty bored driving for about 800 km (500 miles) untill they find something interesting, it would be better if they started in La Patagonia, to be more exact in Peninsula de Valdes (42°26'56.32"S 63°38'39.87"O) and from there go through La Patagonia to the desert of Atacama in Chile and then go back to Buenos Aires passing through Cordoba.

Well, they surely must have a reason to do it the way it was anounced, I only hope that it's for the best.

Quote from Scawen :About Castellano and Spanish, my understanding is that there are a few different languages spoken in Spain, such as Castellano, Galician, Catalonian. And these are all Spanish languages although "Spanish" does normally refer to Castellano because it's the most widely spoken language in Spain.

But to be correct, it should be called Castellano to distinguish it from the other Spanish languages.

Here is an article describing how it is known as Castellano in Spain and Espanol in South America.

http://www.spainexpat.com/spai ... ation/castillian_spanish/

Ah yes you are right, sometimes I forgot that Castellano comes from Castillia, a region of Spain, my bad but here we also use Castellano to refer to our native language and not Spanish as the article suggests, although I don't know about other Castillian/Spanish american speaking countries, but it isn't relevant.

Quote from Inouva :Another ting , the Language "Castellano" is not the same as "español"

Castellano is use in Argentina , and in spain use Spanish ,

We have many different ways of combining words
And use adjectives

And if you hear the Language Spanish and then Castellano , you see is not the same
You shoul put the Argentina flag instead spanish flag

@edit

What is this , the grey squares with letters , is this ok?

Regards Inouva

Neh, I don't think so, castellano and spanish are almost the same, you can read each other without any problems, maybe it would be better if instead of "castellano" it was "español". Also castellano is usead in almost all parts of America but USA, Brazil, Canada and some other countrys that I don't recall, so using the argentinean flag woudn't be representative of the language.

If you used remember my password in firefox anyone who has access to that PC can see your password, the only thing that they have to do is go to Menu Options > Tab Security > Button Show Passwords and then again show passwords. So if you had them stored that could have been the source of you password leak.

I've learned to drive in LFS before I got my driver's license so I tend to use my left foot to brake in real life, I've stalled the engine some times when I'm distracted and brake because there is some obstacle in the road

It depends, if it is a league about 50-60 minutes is ok, for a pick up server and race I like it to be for about 15-20 minutes.

When I was still a demo racer I was going to win my first championship race, about 40 laps at BL GP with the XFG, I don't know why but I pitted one lap before I intended to and forgot that i woudn't have enought fuel to end the race, in the last lap when i hit the second split I ran out of gas and my car stopped in the top of the finnish line hill.

Now in S2 sometimes I'm bored and try to end the race driving in reverse, the problem was that when I changed my setup forgot to tune the reverse ratio and when I did the 180 spin the wheels locked and crashed everyone that was behind me xD

I don't use a high resolution because my monitor only supports up to 100hz in 1024*768 and with less than that amount of refresh rate I feel really uncomfortably.

There you have some shots:
