Oh god, I hope this isn't as crappy as Doom the movie, that was a horrible movie!

Why did you think Scawen had to implement chinese characters? :P

I've tried it to see the difference and while it won't make you an alien it does help in a racing environment, the most common situation where you get an advantage is when you get out of a corner head to head, with the script you will end with better top speed and better chances of getting the position you are fighting for and that is totally unfair.

you can always turn off your FFB, but who would want to do that?

Quote from Bob Smith :Road supers have (a little) too much grip already tbh. The cars will be more fun to drive if they had LESS grip, not more. The TBO class just don't have the power to really require slicks without making them even less exciting to drive. Pressing the throttle in a RWD is no fun if you can just mash it.

That almost reminds me of the XRR, that massive turbo lag lets you stomp the throttle nearly without any negative behavior, I can't even imagine getting on the XRT with R3, it would be like driving the FOX but with a roof on top of your head :P

Hm, for pick up races I think that LX4/6 would be nice on KY GP Long, well, maybe the track is a little to extensive, something shorter would be nice, aston north anyone?

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :LOL, I can tell you have been around for 10 months!

That was a good one

Well, I was hoping that in a year we could have better collision physics with breakable parts, there aren't lots of things that Scawen said he was thinking to improve and those seemed the most important to code, so a year seems like a reasonable time.

Quote from Kid222 :As far as i agree with most of points in this thread, i don't think we need more threads like this one.

It's still the same scenario:
-patch comes out
-community splits into few parts: moaners/fanbois/the rest
-sh*tload of new threads pops in about what devs have done wrong, then tristanlike people appearing, trying to save the day making WGSDLFS club
etc. etc.

It's just pointless talking over and over, still the same. It won't change anything on ScaViEr's decision, how to develop this simulator.

Written with honest respect to you all (and sorry for OT).
Kid

It's inevitable.

I'd like to say that I've enjoyed LFS a lot and I expect to to have a lot more of fun in a not so distant future, If I have to wait be it, at least we have new development, look at other sims and tell me which one is still in development? we have paid for the actual LFS content, everything else is a bonus, you may get bored with it the same way you may get bored of playing NFS, Super Mario Bros., Nintendo Wii Fit, Bioshock and a lot more of games out there, but you know that in the end there will be new content and it will be free (until S3).

Inouva, esas fotos podrian ser de cualquier mujer ¿porque no posteas fotos donde estes con un cartelito que diga "LFS"? Ahi puede ser que te crea.

Ahh now I understand why 'she' blocked me when I told her that a logitech G25 was 375 UsD in Argentina and not 500 as she claimed, that's funny now almost everything starts to making sense, argentinean woman tend to be a little temperamental.

I live for speed, does that count? There are lots of interesting aspects of LFS, but the most important to me are:
- Continued development, you know that there will be more!
- Developers contact with community.
- Physics! Oh boy, this one is my favorite.
- Variety of cars.
- LFS World is revolutionary, now almost every gaming platform has something alike, xbox live and such.
- Easy of use and optimization, i just cant believe that a 7 years old computer can run LFS smoothly.

I have to agree to what Android and Angry Angel said, also Scawen may start developing a new feature and get bored coding it in the middle of the process, not abandoning it but putting it in a stand by state and maybe start coding something that's is more important in the current stage of LFS' development, the same thing can happen with Eric's work, maybe there are two or three new tracks being developed at the same time, and forcing them to finish the work with a dead line would take away the genuine desire to make a better racing simulator thus resulting in a much more lower quality product.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :WTF? Lawnmowers?? McLarens should start making STOP signs and RED TRAFFIC LIGHTS then................... You know... Hamilton doesn't really know what they are for... Hehh...

I said that because while there was heavy rain kimi was more time in the grass than in the track :P

Quote from Gabkicks :Will the interiors for all cars be done by patch Z?

BEHELET!!

Nope, Scawen himself said that Patch Z will be almost the same as Test Patch Y30.

Quote from h3adbang3r :Why should they hurry up? Do you want an unfinished S2 and a horribly buggy S3?

No, I don't want a buggy S2 or S3, what I meant is that when S3 comes along the developers' accounts will get a little fatter, as an incentive only.

Devs need to hurry and release S3, think the amount of money if only 25% of S2 accounts upgraded to S3! that's a lot of money!

Scawen should do something about this, the button rate should be at it's maximum speed equal to autoclutch's clutching rate.

I have to say that this thread is just absurd, there isn't any real proof that racing with a mouse is faster than wheel+pedals, you're basing all your argument about mouse racing being easier in the fact that people that use mouse for a long time are faster with mouse than with a wheel when you make the change, everyone who has made the change will tell you that you need some time to adapt in order to reach the same pace you had with your old controller, you have to learn to drive again, the theory is in your head, you know what you have to do to be fast but your cerebellum isn't used to it, it needs time and practice to archive that again, let me make an easy example for you, i'm almost sure you or almost everyone in here has played a FPS, and i'm guessing that you use WASD to move, the mouse to look and left button to fire, this is the standard, now if you radically change the button configuration to left mouse button to walk forward, right mouse button to walk backwards, move mouse to look, < to strafe left, > to strafe right and CTRL to shoot you'll start to make a lot of mistakes because you have to think which of the buttons do what you need to do, you still know what you have to do to kill the enemy but your brain doesn't know how to do it automatically in that way and when you change a mouse for a wheel in LFS the exact same thing happens, maybe if those stubborn mouse drivers tried to learn how to race with a wheel they could race at the same pace as they did with mouse.
