Hi, I was wondering is there anyway to read the data from the wheel's movement in LFS?, what I want to do is read each wheel's movement separately and then convert that data to sound, so I could connect four buttkickers, one for each wheel, in order to imitate the vibrations of the wheel in a coptkit and some other effects like kerbs and flat spots.
I know that it's kind of a bizarre idea but it could work.
I've been using this user name for 7 years, no regrets here, the only problem is that it's kind of short and a lot of pages require at least 6 characters on your user name so i have to add something to it.
I've never experiences any kind of stutter in the new patch, also my PC has enough power to handle LFS with 32 cars so I guess it's a hardware problem, I also use to play in servers above 250 ms of ping and I hardly get any complain about lagging.
I voted for AS North, and I'm aware of the length of the race, I just like that feeling of endurance racing, what I don't like is that the TBO class tyres, road super, last for ages, I belive that you can do the 60 laps without anyproblem.
I'll tried to reproduce the black screen bug and now It doesn't happen any more will keep looking for new ways to reproduce to see if it is totally bug proof.
I wonder how many times this questions will pop up, maybe whe should have a counter for every time someone starts a thread asking if more realistic features will be implemented.
About what you are asking, every thing you are asking is supposed to be completed in S2 final, well maybe not everything but most of them.
I found a way to reproduce the black screen bug, at least in my system*, what I have to do is this, start LFS in full screen mode without the wheel controller connected to the USB port, then join a server, connect the wheel controller, hit shift+c, then shift+f4 and when you go back to full screen you got a black screen.
*system specifications:
Intel Core2Duo E6300
Asus P5N-SLI
1GB 667 Supertalent
nVidia Geforce 7600GT
Windows XP SP2 with all the Microsoft updates
Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel
Sorry if this was already known, I didn't have time to read the whole thread
I agree with Leprekaun, when I'm being lapped I usually know before the blue flag appears, and what I usually do is get off the best racing line (If I'm not battling for a position) and wait till the lapper gets close to me and then lift of a bit the throttle, then I usually stick to the back of the lapper so I don't loose a lot of time. Doing that I've never had an incident being lapped, so I'll stick to it
I had to disable the skin download option if I wanted to be able to connet or else when the skin download finished the server was already full, also when I did finally connect I was kicked out, but that was from my side, my brother was downloading torrents at full speed
All i can say is congratulation to the winners and the podium, and also to Buenos Aires Racing that squeezed though the table and ended in 13th place, it was their first endurance race, I'm really happy that one of the argentinian teams did that well be aware of us! I'm willing to participate in the next event
LX6 on AS North without wind was my choice, it's a really nice track and the car makes it even more fun, the bad thing is that most ppl don't know hot to drive the LX6 so they give up and the servers end empty
that's cheap, i'd love to live in europe, here games are really expensive, LFS is about 130 argentinian pesos and average wage is about 950 pesos, quite expensive
By the way, what I read in local newspaper was that the car had some sort of malfunction and went off the track and then rolled over 3 people, sadly one of them died, so it's not the spectators fault.
