Dear Kannan,

If you want several cars, in your demo situation being either XFG, XRG or FBM...

You type /cars XFG+XRG+FBM or for example /cars XFG+XRG

Hope it works!

Good luck!

Quote from Gunn :I hadn't lapped on Westhill for a while, so last week I spent an hour there in various cars. I improved all my lap times which was nice, but I had a good look around as well and absorbed the feel of the place so that when the update comes to the Westhill racing environment the difference is more of a kick in the nuts rather than just a slap in the face. Can't wait for the update

This is a good idea Thanks for inspiring me

I've already posted my thankfulness to Scavier in this topic, but I just want to thank Scawen in particular, because I really respect the way you keep your head cool with all this whining going on.

Scawen about the new tyre physics that you are eventually going to work on. Will also tyre blow-outs (flat tyres) occur more "randomly" for example cutting it on a curbstone, aswell as it being graphicly more visible? (For example, if in F1 a tyre used to go flat or blow out, you can see the tyre thread loosening.) Because this would really enhance the feel of realism for me. Because realitisc tyre physics is amazing, but it would bring a whole new dimension into it if the tyre blowouts and flats, would also have a new level of realism. Because as far as I know, no single Simulator has yet got such realism in flat tyres.

Guys do we really need to discuss another game then LFS, on the LFS forum, in the LFS General Discussions in a topic concerning a great LFS update which is to come.

Ofcourse AC is a great game, but I think if we want to discuss that, we should remain to off-topic. Cause on-topic is LFS.

Oh my word, now I am really looking forward to the new Westhill. The fact that Eric is working on even more "dummy roads" should make it fabulous.

And as someone replied here, it would possibly make for some epic rally layouts.

ScaViEr.... Thanks for the continous work on this piece of beauty.

After a few years wait, I've made another Live for Speed Crashes, compilation video.

It features only online racing accidents. Most of them happened in 2012.

Music starring in this video:
Deponeye - Tick Tock

Enjoy!

Best of Regards,
Walter

P.S. The last LFS Crashes video dates back to 2010 and is visible down below:

I sadly do not have the funds to pay anything at the moments.

It's unfortunate that you ask money for it, but ofcourse every skinner has all the rights to ask something for his work, so I am not complaining.

Dear Skinners,

I would really love to see the Williams FW36, to be skinned for the FO8, both #19 as well as the #77.

I really like the simplicity yet the beauty of this livery.

Would a skinner pretty please make these skins for the Formula V8 for me (and assumingly many others)?

Embedded video posting bug
rockclan
S3 licensed
Hey,

I noticed that Flame posted that there are new BB codes, under which codes to post embedded videos from Vimeo or Youtube.

Now I tried posting one from Vimeo, but without success. It does create the space in the post, but does not actually show anything.

Now are these codes already supposed to work, and it malfunctions? Or are these not yet supposed to be used?

Preview: Embedded Vimeo:

Embedded Youtube:

As you can see, Youtube works, but Vimeo does not.

Would it be possible to fix this?

Hey,

Since LFS Forum now supports embedded videos, I thought I'd give it a try by sharing this video from 2010. It's a simple review video of a FO8 racing series.

(I'm not sure if Embedded works, since I can't see a preview.)

Enjoy,

This new website/forum and design is truely amazing.

I absolutely adore the new way the content is shown on the website. Or for example, the little car + info images that changes along on the top right.

Also the addition of these nice statistics on the home-page is fantastic. (Online Racing Activity)

I really think with this website, and it's design, all who contributed to this result deserve a round of applause, cause it's amazing!

Great work!

I really enjoyed the event, and for now it seems I did indeed finish 4th, when top 5 was my goal.

I'm overall satisfied with my race, apart from a stupid mistake right after my first pitstop, and in the first few laps, I sadly gave Litro a bump, when drafting went wrong on the s/f straight, sorry for that Litro!

I want to thank Rony (and the drivers) for another great and fun event, and I hope there will be more to come! (And indeed a bit shorter maybe, haha).

I was live-streaming from start of Qualifying till end of Race. Can be viewed from my POV here:

Guys ease it down on the Devs please. I think we all agree we are happy to see Scawen active on the forums again.

Please let's act reasonable, and be thankful for his time and attention.

Scawen & Eric:
I love the way things are going, take all the time you need to make the things as they should be and feel best for you, it's your baby after all. Eventhough the Westhill can't come soon enough for me, since it looks and sounds wonderful. Still that does give me all the more patience.

Thanks for already nearly 12 years of commitment to this simulator and us. I'm sure many of us have found not only many new friends over here, but also found a home.

Live for Speed is something unique and special, and eventhough waiting sometimes is long, it has yet always been more then worth it.

I take a deep bow for the developers, because they deserve respect and to be treathed with it too.

Some might be complaining about the development pace, but if LFS wasn't ever made, god knows what you would be doing now. For one it shows you are clearly dedicated to LFS since you are eager to keep on driving it and experiencing new steps in the progress.

But what helps best for a private company to succeed faster in their goals? Respect and support from their customers/community.
