What's so unrealistic about the stecki mobile? i'm not a car designer, never been one.
It does have an unconventional look, though I wouldn't call it ugly.

I noticed lfs has a japan branch website at http://liveforspeed.jpn.ch/
But I never met any japanese people online (or at least I think so).
I don't get it, Japan has a huge market... there should be at least some activity

not sure why, but after 3 laps server went out of stash space and kicked me out. I joined to see if anyone else got the same problem, but it seemed like no one else was effected (nothing was wrong with my connection as far as I know).
A while later Sebestian reported some kind of lfs bug and disconnected.

Oh well, unfortunate for us... i was looking forward to this race.

I have to use to use two sets of pedals in LFS (two-wheels), because both have only one functional pedal. Can someone tell me, if rFactor supports multiple axis, like LFS does?

Quote from PLebre :Wow! You guys are raiding with R2 tyres!? I guess a have a lot of work to do with my setups. As a mater of fact I was with R4 type and both rear tyres blowup after 25 minuts, same happend in practice with R3. What could happend? I was running chassi a lit low and stiff, is that the reason?

Well, many people mistakenly think that racing with hard compund (R4 slicks) will make the tyres more durable. It seems logical, but it doesn't really work this way in LFS. R4 slicks have very little grip compared to R2 and front wheels lock up under heavy braking resulting in flatspots. So the R4 slicks actualy wears up faster than R2 (ironic, isn't it).

- I suggest you never use R4 tyres (someone said they're good on ovals.. I never raced on oval).

- You should always stick to R2 with XRR/FZR and use R3 slicks only when you can't keep the temperature under 100 degress. Increasing the pressure on rear wheels can help to keep the temperature down. On Westhill many racers used high pressure (200+ KPa) on rear wheels so they could use R2 tyres. I'm not sure about FXR, which is an AWD car, but this is how it works with the other two RWD cars.

I menaged to finish Blackwood with 2 pitstops in FZR and R2 tyres, so they are pretty durable, if you're carefull not to make flatspots and drift in corners. Had to squeeze every last drop of fuel to keep that car going for 40 minutes

Div.a, A. Sirocka (Rumiko) - FZR

well, decent race for me... too bad my gas pedal messed up after 30 minutes (spiking) and my lap times droped considerably... I was on a 2 stop strategy too (with FZR! ). Shame on my momo pedals, could've been better.

Quote from TechAde :Possibly a really dumb question, but if I've found a race set that I'm really happy with are there any general rules for tweaking it for qualifying (low fuel, warm the tyres up quicker etc.)?

well, I'm not a pro, but quali sets for GTR cars usually have:
- Negative camber for better grip in corners (front wheels around -3, and rear ranging from -1 to -5).
- R2 slicks only
- lower pressure on rear wheels for better grip (which is good on slower tracks like blackwood, fern bay and south city). High pressure (180 - 200KPa) improves your top speed and tyres cool down very quickly on long straights.
- lowering downforce can also improve top speed, but it pretty much changes how the car handles, so I rarely change this one.

Heh, recording was fun. Like the time Zeeall was attacked by a killer mosquito and ruined a great scene... priceless

Well, like Doorman said, it's very unlikely someone won't send his set, if you ask politely (and won't cause any accidents in the race). There's nothing worse than taking out a fast driver and later ask for his set...
League racing is a different story.

Once I was in a bad mood... blocked messages and was just driving around Aston for hours. Not sure if anyone asked for a set, but it was very refreshing not having to read any messages once in a while
