looks like you don't have the font installed mate, your browser is using another one in it's place. If it was a bug it wouldn't be so uniform, in my opinion.
Personally I welcome anything that adds to the excitement.
For me LFS isn't about doing constant hotlaps for 35 laps, I want action with overtaking, crashes and other elements to take me into the experience. For me Wind will add an interesting element.
If there was something quite wrong with the wind i'm sure Scawen would have taken it out by now, he hasn't so I am 100% sure it will be fine.
This generally depends on the car and track, don't worry - we wouldn't pick an unsuitable strength likely to cause issues.
For instance, I did 15 laps with the warm up combo (FBM, BL1R, High Wind) yesterday and only had a couple of fun oversteer moments caused by wind, perhaps if we were driving the MRT it would be different.
I think a lot of people notice the wind and think it's too strong because it stops that constant perfect lap syndrome LFS suffers from. People think that if that don't do constant lap times within .5 of a second every time that somehow it's a bad thing. The fact is LFS on it's own is a little too easy, personally I find the wind feature add's that little bit of spice of the unknown per lap which is a good thing.
We'd like to announce a preseason warm up race to keep everyone fresh whilst the few remaining plans to the next season are finished.
So how does 35 Laps of Blackwood Reversed in the FBM sound to you?
And how does 35 Laps of Blackwood Reversed in the FBM with Wind enabled sound to you?
Alright alright, how about 35 Laps of Blackwood Reversed in the FBM with Wind enabled and Cloudy Sunset Weather sound to you?
That's right on Sunday 12th April at 1600 GMT you'll be racing around Blackwood Reversed for 35 laps in the funky FBM with a forecast of strong wind to make things that little bit tricky and cloudy sunset to set the romantic racing mood.
-- edit --- Qualifying is open! ...and remember to "Join season" before you head to qualify. See you on track...

Without brining your app into the public domain but as you've mentioned it, the only thing I find troublesome with the app is the PID issue, but I realize that is LFS not issuing a number until they get on track, other than that, no problems. I look forward to your ideas.
Next season... Well personally I think we should wait until the new VW car comes in the next patch. It would be so annoying to plan a season, get it underway and then a new patch arrives.
However, depending on interest both S.Varjonen and I had a nice plan for a special event which we scrapped in the Summer - if enough people fancy something nearer Xmas then do lets us know. No point in planning something if only three people show after all.
Re This season - too long as Shimanofr mentioned, the summer break really dragged it for me.
Your cpu and gfx card do look a bit low and the current crop of ati drivers don't let you extend 3D games across 2 screens unless it's running in a window.
10th for me, sounds low but I had a great race and drove well. Lots of battles too as well as some near misses. I just was a second off the pace of the main pack.
Had a pretty good turn one and made up quite a few places but was knocked off at the exit of the chicane for some reason, suffered small amount of damage which caused me to have bad handling, this combined with the refusal of my R2's to heat up meant I had no grip. I was sliding in nearly every corner (and spinning on the exits) - after the repairs things were not much better either, no tire temps really ruined my day. After my 2nd spot I also got a drive through and ended up doing it on the last lap (by accident) and being disqualified - bugger all around.
