Race was ok for me until my first pitstop repaired my damage even though it was set to NO - is that a reported bug anyone?

Then stopped again for new tyres as I burnt the second set out.

Had to stop a third time to get extra fuel as I needed an extra 1% to finish the lap.

Not unhappy with 8th, but perhaps could've had 3rd with better strategy.

Server was there in the list as usual.

Did you look for Private servers?

I suggest you email more details about that to Solar Mr Psymonhilly.

Yeah I agree with your sentiment - sadly though, it takes everyone to feel the same for it to work - one wrecker is all it takes to ruin a race.

Hi Bozo,

I do agree with pretty much everything you said in text and video in spirit, though I do think a lot of the CRC rules are there as a guidelines rather that dead cut absolutes. Usually in real life racing the teams can complain to race control to uphold rules mid race, we can't really provide this as a host doesn't have the ability to investigate race footage or other telemetry mid race.

We rely on racers generally knowing how to race fairly which I think makes up 95% of the racing per event, and the other 5% we hope the host can spot or that drivers bring to our appeals arbiter's notice.

Whilst you say that names are irrelevant, it looked as if two of the videos featured clips from your race perspective, which I think is fair enough. If you had serious problems with other drivers that race it would be good to point it out to Solar (which you may have already done, I'm not sure). We do take a serious stance on bad driving as well as silly driver errors but I like to think people learn from them, it wouldn't be fair just to kick them out of the league for example.

I do not think that racers should avoid touching eachother (if you forgive the expression) I don't mind a bit of bumping and scraping, I love turn one battles and slipping through gaps, If I get a few scrathes on the paintwork, all the better. As you may have read, LFS does have some physics glitches, you can have small bumps with people and their car (or yours) can wildy be thrown off track for no reason, in this cicrumstance for example, I wouldn't slow to let the player past as I see that as a fault of the game. And I think fair squeezing and shoving yourself into a postition is ok, it is when people wildly smash themselves into a position that we should look at taking action, but as said, we really do rely on people reporting it to us.

I do like to think in general we have very clean races, I would really expect it hard for anyone to find another mixed talent league that manages to work with this amount of success.

Don't forget folks, you're all human (I'm not though) and you all make mistakes, accidents happen.

I had a slow start of the line but did quite well in the first few laps, was around 4th/5th position.

Got a puncture around lap 12 and came out further behind. Don't know why but these tires felt really different, my wheels kept locking, I kept sliding and just overall, wasn't doing well. Only a few laps later came into pits again and thankfully the new two tyres felt good and I was back up to speed and even beat my PB/hotlap time. Was going ok for a while until another puncture 10 laps from end put me into the gravel and that was that.

GVRc Steel - if you're reading this, although you weren't causing an obstruction/yellow flag, you cannot hang around on track like that after you are out - a dead car on track is still a distraction, please spectate in future.

Ah!

Well as a rule no, we upload layouts to configs if we think there is an obvious cheating route on track. Obviously any unusual times will be spotted when forming the grids.

Which random times do you mean?

If you have spotted some irregularities then please do email us with the details.

Pearcy first you should log into the lfs-league page, then as horrgakx says, the Race Weekend link has all the info you'll need - I think the flag thing is automatic, you need to click on your lfs-league profile button after logging in and then choose your country. Then read through are rules section and generally, keep checking for news on the main section of the page, the grid announcements and stuff are always posted there.

Yes, we are not called The Only Short Races Live For Speed League.

All the server mayhem meant I had no prerace practice, not done any laps since last week so was a bit rusty.
Had a good start, and first few laps. Went to overtake Wakey and cars touched, freaky bit of collision detection sent his car rolling like crazy, silly UFR's! Sorry Wakey.

Later on hit the chicane and flipped over, landed on wheels so kept going. Clutch overheated, tried to cool it but it wouldn't work, so, spectated. - bugger.

Well as you MUST do a pit stop, why not take your R3's and change them in the pits?

What circumstances would we need to switch from first sector lap counting to end of lap counting?

Quote from t1ger : I didn't know if I had ruined anyones race and, coupled with the fact that I was fighting all the time to keep the car going straight, I decided to end the race there and then.

I was watching you at the time and you did seem to brake late and hit the side of the guy you were overtaking, think you both went off a little.

Race for me was good for first few laps until tires went bad.

After that I drive badly, pitted three times and ended up spinning in front of wakey (sorry dude). Anyway I ended up stuck in a dangerous place and just spectated, I probably could've got to the end but A) was fed up and B) wanted to get out of the risky situation asap.

Looking forward to the next race, I can win in the FXR!

yes don't worry it happened to me last week too...we'll try and sort it out as soon as we can. This is a good time to remind everyone that there is no need to vote to restart on the quali server, there is no race or practice session to restart, you have 12 laps and that is that, you do not get 12 more by pressing shift + r.

Quote from Solar Hydro :Hello JR and all,

At some stage I was catching you fast, then it took me 2 laps of fun fighting to pass you, you had incredible straight-line power, pulling away from me even when slipstreaming!

Apologies to Andy Durn for the incident in the middle of Lap 1.

Solar Hydro (I expect to be disqualified for pitting only at the end of Lap 1).

Cheers - low downforce setting, hence sliding off track but uber fast on oval.
