I see some new chalk lines, assuming there will be chicanes in that place - Will be they used in KY2/KY3, or will these tracks stay as they are and chicanes would be part of new track configurations?

Quote from RC-Maus :Think many guys have tried all other race sims and some never came back to lfs Shrug
Thats why lfs community is smaller these days. More competition in sim racing world.
+ many off my steam friends never heard off LFS.

I had few years never touch LFS, I come back because I'm building a drift car for myself, & I want to have some practise in sim

Quote from Scawen :No, but what I am saying is that a good tyre physics model should produce a tyre that reacts in a reasonable way, similar to a real world tyre. So it should be able to reasonably simulate a lorry.

This feels like a communication breakdown. You are imagining that the karts would work OK in the current tyre physics, but I'm saying I've tried it and they don't. There are strange effects that produce the wrong outcomes.

Karts are very sensitive to tyre physics, particularly so because of the lack of suspension and lack of differential. The tyres are sometimes just touching / not touching the ground and there's a lot of skidding of lightly loaded tyres, particularly on the unloaded inner rear tyre. It just doesn't work properly with the current public tyre physics.

There is a solution, which would allow us to release karts. It's the new tyre physics model, which I'm working on. Smile

will you consider about the bend of the chassis?

I meant the flexible of the chassis which just like spring

new physics + new graphics = totally a new game without any extra paymentThumbs up

Quote from sinanju :I tried it by myself without InSim and it worked ok. LFS just treats it like an AutoX layout, with driver placed in a start position, timed splits when you cross the checkpoints, and a lap time when you cross the finish line.

no, it wont splits Confused

Quote from sinanju :Changing Racon's layout so ImSim checkpoints are used would look like attached.

Put 2 cars on track, then Shift R to start race.

Haven't tested it in either 2 person mode, or with InSim.

it won't work for meConfused

any example?Confused

Quote from Racon :If you use split 1 and 3, you can have them in the same place in opposite directions without people being able to cheat the lap. If you use route check points, you can use any/all splits like that.

The track you've posted above could be done like this, with what we've got already: split1 and finish line in the same place, opposite directions, and two route checkers in each of the loops. (just one needed to enforce the loop being driven, or use two to also enforce the direction the loop is taken).

The cars having to start in the same direction would be the only limitation, I think, but I prefer that way anyway Smile

sorry I can't understand.... any example? how to finish with opposite directions?
two direction checkpoint

the layout are support 1 direction to cross the check point, however, the DTM show race & ROC 2018 are start at opposite direction, I hope that it would have a choice to set a two direction checkpointSmile

Quote from Scawen :Hello Racers,

We have been working on graphics for some time now. A new lighting system allows more varied and realistic surface properties and we have a new shadow system. All tracks must be updated to take advantage of the new features.

This month we have taken some screenshots at the Autocross track, featuring the large car park, skid pad and drag strip. In the open configuration you can now drive between all areas using connecting roads and there is an extended car park beside the original Autocross area.

Read the whole report on the Graphics Progress Report: Autocross page.
