Anyway, Let me clear the dirt on this whole story (thanks a ****ing lot for putting this out in public Ray, to add some fuel to the fire, I really appreciate that. Actually no, I don't. PM business always stays private). I wasn't the one who started the conversation. One thing is replying asking for more info, another thing is starting contact, and replying to a PM invite is NOT the same thing as starting a conversation. So don't twist the story on me, thanks very much, it's bad enough that this got leaked just to make the flamewar even worse, and that sure as hell wasn't my intention.
P.S: I'm staying well out of this (didn't want to get involved in the first place), and I'm done defending team members who keep causing trouble.
The RB4 shouldn't be suffering too much in raw pace, theorically.
But yeah, we spent a lot less time with it on the time trials because we were too worried about leveling the FXO and XRT together and setting the beginning restrictions ahead of this test round, so the RB4 still needs a little bit of love.
lol, the RB4 won't be needing any tweaks. If anything, the FXO and XRT are more likely to get a bit more restriction so the RB4 can match up in pace. Only problem I see is that only one or two guys are planning to use it, which sucks for grid variety :P
Since this thread hasn't got too many replies, I thought I'd bring this one back and turn it into a place to discuss anything stream-related (Broadcasting, commentary, etc.) instead of creating a completely new thread.
Because the Revolutionary Racing Channel is broadcasting all of this league's races, and because we are still unexperienced in live broadcasting, as you could see in the horrible car-crash that was the WTBOCS race stream, we still have a lot to improve. So, because L4Slicks is supposed to be a waft of fresh air in terms of LFS Racing, the last thing I want to see happen to it is have bad broadcasting standards make it come across as a bean-fed fart to the audience (couldn't come up with a better metaphor, sorry).
So the main purposes of this thread now are for people to weigh in with their opinion on what our broadcasts should have and also share their broadcasting experience with us. You can still volunteer to help out if you want, too!
By the way, this is the channel that will be used for broadcasting.
This is the official confirmation thread for the Live For Slicks' test round double-header at Blackwood GP. Since this event isn't obviously counting towards the championship itself, we have decided to leave this event open for anyone to confirm. Doesn't really matter if you're signed up or not, but either way, we strongly recommend you to read the rules HERE.
We have two different forms for drivers to fill in so we are able to differentiate who has signed up for the entire series and who hasn't, and they're the following:

Driver name: First Last LFS Username: Team name: if you don't have a team, the just write "No Team" Number: The number you've signed up with Car: The car you've signed up with
And if you're only doing this race or have NOT signed up for L4Slicks, then use this form:
Driver name: Tess Tickle LFS Username: Team Name: If you don't have a team, then just write "No Team" Number: from 2 to 99 Car: FXO, XRT or RB4 I haven't signed up for Live For Slicks

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I'm holding my hand up for my mistakes, because I know I've done them but trust me that it could've been worse.
And actually, apart from the odd moment where I was too worried about where you were in Turn 3 to give you the draft in the S/F straight, I enjoyed working with you until Valtteri got into the mix.
Was in severe pain by lap 115, so I'm sorry for the accidents that I caused. Must say that I've enjoyed working with Kid222, Sascha and Ray during the race, but a concentration break caused by said pain ended up screwing mine up when I didn't give room to...Eoin, I think, so I'm deeply sorry to Eoin for getting caught up in that lapse. Apart from that, I was happy with my race, staying out of trouble during the first half and always being around the Top 10. Really sucked to finish last after a late race crash, and being turned around by Whateverhisnameiszski while pitting for repairs.
And above anything else, GT2WS broadcasters KNOW what they're doing. They know how to separate roles between themselves, and if there's something wrong, they won't go live on stream, going "What the **** is going on?!", they'll handle it off the broadcast. That was not the case with the TBO stream...or any RR stream, as a matter of fact. Don'teven get me started on the final GT3 race
And the most important thing, I think, in the top-tier streams was that ONLY the people who had an important role in the event and broadcast stayed in the commentary booth (plus some guests). I'm also going with Isaac's example on this, GT2WS South City Race - CSF/Wilko/Boothy on commentary, Deko taking care of race control, and Phil streaming the whole thing. They have predefined roles and previous experience. RR's "broadcast team" lacks both, and that's a big part of why it all went wrong.
Never thought I'd agree with Isaac so much right now
And usually a nice little text hyping the event helps.
Better take the Revolutionary Racing stream threads on the General Discussion forum for a guide on how NOT to do it, though, because half-arsed write-ups will just make it come across to people that the streamer doesn't give a **** about the event, and it's very likely that that ends up reflecting itself on the quality of the commentary and the stream itself, as seen with the first round of this series.
Uh...why am I out of the points' standings and tracker info? I can clearly recall being on both Qualifying and the Race, and the replays are proof of that too. What the heck?
Ding ding ding. Spot on. So far we've got Ronaldo saying that he doesn't feel like he's being supported by his team and teammates at Real Madrid. Feel free to rate how believable that is :P
Right after the announcement of the arrival of Remco Majoor and Damian Eikelkamp to Last Lap Motorsports, we have another new member in Cem "turkishcan" Dalda! Cem has been a keen racer of the affectionately-named Bus, the FXR, for a while, performing way above the car's limitations and producing amazing results, but he is now open to driving other cars in LFS, and we are definitely looking forward to racing with Cem in the very near future!
And also joining us, from Scuderia GP but still remaining as a member of his team, we have Yannick "yanki" Lemmens! As part of an agreement with LLM Managers, he will be helping us out with anything media-related.
Welcome to Last Lap Motorsports, Cem Dalda and Yannick Lemmens!
