Well, we do report some lineup changes from time to time, don't teams usually do that? (Before I get into trouble, I'm not trying to be funny!)
Since most members check the forums for team updates more regularly than the team website (which is down), we thought it would be better to announce lineup changes here, even if the member in question was due to leave for about a week before the announcement.
I see what you mean with the post that mentioned "someone was asked to leave the team" boothy, but I wouldn't take it too seriously. It was more the fact that not many people knew what was going on with the member in question, so I'll make it clear right here and now:

- Mindaugas Stankus had been running into trouble for his short temper: he got a permaban from Cargame, lost his mind at a Baltic Cup race, insulting other peopel and even raged at one of his teammates for accidentally taking him off. These are the incidents that gave him 3 warnings, so the next warning would be a kick from the team.
But a week before he left, he told us he was selling his stuff and moving to the UK to start things over, so he ended up leaving; and yesterday, after his final league race, it was made official that he left the team.

And uh, now that I've looked at Ray's post, I guess he made it come across a bit too bluntly.
I'm not coming in his defense, but this isn't the first time that Ray's posts got him into trouble, and I'm pretty sure he didn't mean this post to come across as some sort of "gtfo" towards Stankus, since he had told us all that he had left the team on his own (Stankus') decision, and was not asked to leave.

Hopefully I've managed to sort this out the best way possible. I'm not promising that this will be the last time slip-ups like this will happen, but I would advise everyone to think twice about some posts that might come across as rude and insulting, it might just be pure sarcasm or a failed attempt to be funny.

By the way, what I just said didn't have any mean intentions towards anything or anyone, so please don't take it harshly.

Look, opinions are opinions. On one side, we have friends and on the other side we have the doubters/haters. You see this everywhere and it happens to anyone. I don't mind if there are people who say LLM drivers can't drive for toffee, it's their opinion and they're entitled to it.
I also don't mind the pessimism too much either, because there is a lot more to improve in this team than to get worse.

And when I say that LLM is trying to lose the bad rep, I really mean it. I didn't go on a huge outburst at Ray, the LLM team leader, on public forums (as in this forum board), for absolutely no reason, I pointed out the flaws to him and the rest of the team and they agreed to help and make an effort to get this team off the disgraceful state that it is in now and make it a bit more respectable. We're not promising to be a top team right out of the blue, we're promising to be a more educated and friendly team.

That's why I'm part of LLM, I've been part of them for a year and I'll admit that when I joined, I had no idea why everyone was taking so much piss out of the team, so I couldn't do much to help; and I've been hell-bent on shedding the bad rep since then, and now, after getting the push that we needed because of that forum outburst a couple of weeks ago, this is the best opportunity to make a big step forward.

I'm committed to staying with this team because
1. There is a great team environment, we joke with each other, have fun playing other games and we all get along really well (even though there's that usual bit of "brotherly love" in the mix :razz
2. I know that there is support from the active members on our push to get things done, some of our lazy drivers have started practicing and getting ready for races again instead of rushing things at last hour (which left a really bad impression).

I will only leave LLM if the support isn't there anymore and the team somehow gets back to its old habits. Please don't make this happen again, guys, because if it does, then there's no chance of getting back out of this mess the second time round.

And please, don't expect us to be a TRR-in-the-making. If we did, more than half of our team would have been kicked already. We're running with who we have and they will be improving with us on our way up. If they want to leave, they can do it, we will only kick them if they start causing trouble too frequently or stay inactive for far too long. Just a little reminder that Stankus was on his 3rd and final warning for his bad attitude before he left the team (and I do mean LEFT, not KICKED).

Haters, hate away, you'll just be showing your true colours to everyone. Supporters, thanks for your kind words, and we will do our best not to disappoint you.

Is anyone using that Thrustmaster wheel with 1080º rotation?
Could be the best wheel besides the G27...suffice to say I've had my G25 for 3 years, bought it second hand and it never gave me any problems (not yet anyway).

Quote from xtraction :I think you guys are making the right steps to the recovery of the LLM name in this case, take your time in taking people on.

We'll be far more strict when it comes to recruiting people. Instead of recruiting every single kid that shows interest in joining, we'll be making sure that he/she is able to make races regularly without real-life problems (parents, job, school and homework, etc.) always getting in the way, and that the new recruits know what they're doing (we've had 12 year-olds who didn't know how to put fuel in a pitstop during an endurance race) and have at least a little bit of experience in online racing.
As said before, we don't care too much about speed now (but obviously we can't have very slow drivers racing on the top leagues we're in), it's all about a good attitude and taking things as they are.

I'll stress this again, Slow but polite drivers are better than fast drivers who are complete idiots (no names mentioned here, so don't bother flaming:tilt.

(but a fast and polite driver is obviously the perfect model)

Quote from Franky.S :you just kicked you fastest driver, nice.

We're making a big push to get rid of this bad reputation, so for now, attitude becomes a bigger priority than speed. And because Stankus always raged at anything that hit him (whether it was his fault or not), he had one foot out of the team. The real reason he had to leave is that he's moving to the UK (that's what we were told) and starting life over from scratch, so we at Last Lap Motorsports still would like to wish Mindaugas Stankus the best for the future.

TL;DR he left, we didn't kick him. Although we gave him many warnings about his bad attitude towards other drivers during races.

LOL, this patel guy was the very same that was using teleport hacks in LTC servers a couple of months ago!
He still hasn't left the hacks, has he? Cheating kids like this ruin the whole fun, specially when they can't even be arsed to drive themselves to wherever the hell they want to be.
Thought he had learnt his lesson when he got banned from a couple of places (or had gotten a global ban) by now.

Quote from Bmxtwins :deko, if I can't make the heat race but am succesfull in prequal may I still attend the actual event, starting from last?

Uh...have you even read this? And then this?
TL;DR, Heat races are run the day before the big race, and if you can't make it to the Heat races, then there's no race spot for you, I'm afraid.

There you go, short and sweet.

I was a bit miffed when that show was cancelled. And if I'm honest, the US Whose Line wiped the floor with the UK Whose Line (which is really rare for american show remakes).

I've been watching this stuff for years and it never gets old And there's still one guy on Youtube that's still loyal, he's got about 1500 videos of the whole series so there's plenty of it to watch..check it out here.

This show's why I love ad-libbed comedy more than sccripted stuff.

6 months ago you could have said that the Scirocco got catapulted to the moon by a red barrier while on its way to LFS.

It's been a while and it would suck to see this thread die (again), so go ahead.
But if you don't have a picture ready, here's my suggestion.

Yes I am aware the M1 does not go past Hull

That looks great!

(although a remake of thisnameistaken's avatar with a plaque saying "Release" with the Scirocco crashed next to it would be hilarious)

Well well well... I never thought I'd see the day I agree with a congressman of Venezuela.

This might have something to say in Venezuelan politics...so it's very likely that the congressman is part of Chavez' opposition. That's all I have to say about it before I get inexplicably kidnapped

This would be a great idea for admins to be able to mute people (chatterboxes and foulmouths) either during league races or at public servers. Blocking messages doesn't help things too much here, since you're looking after something that will stop, say, 31 people from reading what the 1 chatterbox has to say.
The best thing to do atm to make sure they shut up is, like the Boothman said, to kick/ban them
