Track name displayed in the garage please

Unless you can recognise the track by the layout, there is no way of identifying which track it is...
With reverse, there are what?... 14 different Aston layouts...

Would be nice to have the track layout title available somewhere... The Garage would be probably the best place.

I'm new, perhaps in time I will recognize them, but I still don't think this is a bad idea. Yes the track name is listed when you choose the server... but I've forgotten what it said by the time I have logged in illepall

Packetloss is a problem with your internet provider if it is happening with every server. It has nothing to do with your LFS installation.

Too easy to punt someone 'accidentally'. I never block, though on the last lap I will keep more to the inside.

In a league situation fine, in public races blocking just might earn you an early trip into the wall.

I usually see it with at least one or more players on every server. Even UF1's... you will see one or 2 guys rubber band off the start, and be skittish through the race. As the class of cars get faster, the skittishness and rubber banding just gets worse.

Its not my connection or I would see everyone lagging/warping.

Gotta add though, Patch U is the only version I have tried.

If someone gets even a little inside or outside of me I ALWAYS give room, there is no point to contact, as it more than likely will end badly for one or both of us...

Having said that... often I will give room to the inside and hold my outside line only to be smacked into the wall on exit by the moron....

Its nice to come into a fast corner and watch some L337 dude dive for the inside as I stay wide and watch him slide on through +)

Ya could try making the font real small for the text msgs. I don't notice the text myself unless I actually look for it.

You can try softening the rear ARB but... that will only help to a point. It really comes down to being smooth I find...

Does the 6800GT use a separate power connector? Is your PS 'cheap'? What is it rated at?

Hmm I too looked on servers running the LX cars... (i avoid servers running ALL) and found them empty with the exception of the drifters...

I think you will be happy with either one. I've noticed the prices dropping, which has me thinking we are about to see a new wheel from Logitech, hopefully with a clutch pedal!!

If logitech sticks to their usual method the first version of their new wheel will be much better than later versions which they usually go cheap with. I don't mean revisions though.

Buy the Logitech Driving Force Pro PS2 wheel instead.

Offers 900 deg rotation, alot more buttons, and uses better construction (more steel less plastic)

Will cost you a bit more, but will last you longer most likely.

There are no problems using this PS2 wheel with a PC so long as you download the 4.60 drivers/profiler

Having hardcore only available when passworded is stupid. Mebbe the same should be done about the BF1 only servers, because I want to race an FZR on that server damnit.

Of course if the title of the server was Password = hardcore ... that would basically make the server public... so passwording the server solves nothing.

Are you loggin in with your webname or gamename? (needs to be game)

I did try it, and hadn't noticed a difference so I went back into Audio options and saw it was set at 1.0
I then went back to the cfg.txt file, and it was still set at 0.0

Well, I just started LFS and I find Shift+S a godsend.

I can drive... but while I am learning the tracks and cars I make mistakes, and my first priority at the moment is not to p anyone off. If I have bent the car (noticeably) I shift+s immediately. If I am blocking the track from a spin or what have you and traffic is coming fast I get outta the way(shift+s)

On public servers shift+s is fine, insisting people use it isn't... accept for the roundy rounds where it does make sense.

Thnx Xaotic, I tried that and even though I set it to 0, in the game it was still 1.0 and the effect hadn't changed. (OOps that was S2 T demo.. doubt that would matter)

Was checking the racelist last night and set the filter to GTR, the list only showed servers which had all the GTR cars enabled (and no others)

Yet it did not display a server which was only running one of the GTR class cars (and no others)

Would be nice if the class filter would also detect whether a server was running any of the cars in the class (and no cars from another class of course)

Keep that up and you will keep coming under fire...

Ok, in sound options I can reduce this down to 1.0.... not far enough... anyway to reduce the echo effect even further?
