that was just a quick version. I will make one later that will store settings, so if you have a couple of programs that use different outgauge settings, all you have to do is put them in and save them. Then load the program and selet the settings you want.
Terrible. Just terrible. Well to be honest, not extremely terrible, but dont expect me do do well in a stcc race... My excuse, im still getting use to my g25 with the clutch and everything. I came from a mouse for over a year, to the g25. Driving style is fairly aggressive, with a hint of
But i am better then funnybone2 from the sound of it. I can get 1:29's on bl or bl reversed. (with the mouse)
well yes, but i have made it so you do not have to launch lfs through the program for it to work. I could change it, but it wouldnt make a difference to the functionality of the program.
There ya go, updated. I never thought about a check on the cfg.txt file because it is supposed to be put into the folder where your live for speed cfg.txt file is, if it isnt, it wont load the car or track. Enjoy!
i know why it happens, and i think i have an idea on how to fix it. There certaintly has been very much progress done on it. Believe it or not, i started from scratch about a week ago.
When you press "r" to look behind you, the camera looks to the left, Which works great if you drive on the right sied of the car because it gives you a clear view down the middle of the car. However if you drive on the left sied of the car, it looks left, which gives you a view of the The outside of the car, and the back is just a big blind spot. I know this can be fixed by holding "e" then "r" but it would be nice if you didnt have to press "e" first, because on many gaming devices, there are only a limited number of programable button. Thanks.
why would you do that? this why we have computers in the first place. So it can do things we are too lazy to do. Im sure it can be done in less then an hour of work. None the less, That is a simple solution, but one that can be forgoten about in a hotlap thats going good when nature calls hard...
I play with mouse on my laptop, and i notice when you pause the game, and move the mouse to change options ect. and unpause the game, the car goes flying because the mouse pointer is moved from where it was when the game was paused. I would like to see it so when you pause the game, the postion of the mouse is stored, and when the game is unpaused, the position is restored. Would save a couple of fly-offs in single player. Im sure many mouse players know what im talking about.
yeah thanks that exactually how i plan to do it. Just open the file, change the selected car and track... there ya go, DONE! not quite... then i have to figure out a way to locate that file on everyone elses computer because of different install places... not really that easy, but i WILL do it!
Im pretty sure i have it figured out. I know how to change the track and the car. So i am able to make the game load with the random car and track. I now just have to figure out the code to do so. As for confusing people, sorry. I usually have a hard time expressing my thoughts through writing... ask my english prof
just found out that it is possible for me to open the game and have the random car and track loaded for you! With my codeing skills, it should be ready in about a week or 2
an external program, that will switch cars, and/or games ingame, not during a race, but while the game is loading. First when you start lfs, the car and track that you had selected last are the car and track that loads. Is there a way i can change these cars while the gome is not running, or even while the game is in the main menu?
i already looked there and those settings dont change the car or track when the game loads. Or maybe there are more then one file i need to be editing. My guess is that what im looking for is stored in the program, which makes a hell of a lot of work, maybe even ALMOST impossible, as nothing is impossible. i think the cfg.txt just shows the confir for the last race you were in, as it shows the server and the ip of the server. I doubt it has anything to do with the loading of cars or tracks.
i was actually thinking about adding this to the program. I was also thinking about breaking the cars down, into groups, like turbo fwd rwd awd single seater and so on. Also, i was thinking about making it if your game is unlocked, you cannot access all the cars or tracks of s2. just demo, or s1.
i got what you said to fix fixed bob...i think. anyways its in the unoffical addons if you want to dl it. I am now working on making it load the car/track for you, and adding a few little ideas i though of my self.
perhaps i should have stated this earlier, but i want to be able to alter this information, so when the game is loaded, the altered information makes a different car and a different track load. would altering this do that? or is it in the game itsself?
hi i am wondering if anyone knows where the file is that contains the information about the car and track selected in the last session of lfs? I need to know this for a program i am making. Is it stored in the game itself, or just in an external file? Any help would be greatly appreicated. i posted this is the programmers forum, but i havent gotten any responses so i figured this forum has more traffic and a better chance of getting an answer.
I was wondering if there is anyone out the that knew where the information is stored for the last car and last track you were driving is stored and/OR if it is possible to alter that information from a third-party program.
