Hi,

I'm having two issues in my mpRes-site: http://tulokset.srtfinland.com

I'm having these problems in the most recent races: I'm using this race as an example: http://tulokset.srtfinland.com/league/SEIII/2017/R03/r/

1) In the most recent races, graphs are not displayed. Going into the URL where the graph image should be located just returns HTTP ERROR 500. URL for grpahs: http://tulokset.srtfinland.com/league/SEIII/2017/R03/r/graphs/

2) I need to update that race's results via .mprdiff-file. But when I try to force load the results via password, it also returns HTTP ERROR 500. URL to force load results: http://tulokset.srtfinland.com/league/SEIII/2017/R03/r/?force_load=turhakoittaajuhavoittaa

However, as I said, I'm having these issues only in the most recent races (only in races which were driven in 2017)

Here you can find answers to questions you may have in your mind. Feel free to ask something else related to Sport Racing Team Finland's server and it's races/events Smile

General information about the team and server:
Question: What is Sport Racing Team Finland?
Answer: Sport Racing Team Finland (before 2014, it's name was just Sport Racing Team), also known as SRT and SRT Finland, is a team which was established in April 27, 2010. For 2010-2012, it raced pretty much only in Maailman Nopein Kansa (MNK) and 5laps.com. After having a silent break in 2013, it started to organize races and series in 2014. After having a couple test races, SRT held it's first race exactly four years later from it's establishment. For first couple months, it only held races on Sundays. In June 2014, SRT started to held races in Saturdays as well and in mid-January 2015, Fridays were also reserved to races.

Since then, SRT has organized over 400 races and almost 50 different kind of series. To celebrate SRT's 3-year anniversary with organizing these races, we decided to expand our series to LFS.net as well. And now, at the May 3, 2017, it has it's own subsection in here LFS.net/forum!

Question: What is the server name called? Is it open for everyone? Can I join racing as well?
Answer: Server name is Sport Racing Team Finland. Yes, it is open for everyone (except those who are banned) 24/7 unless otherwise noted. You can join there as well Smile

Question: What does "unless otherwise noted" mean in practice?
Answer: It means that server is not password protected during qualifying and races. However, if the race type requires it or the race organizer wishes, server will be protected with password during race (and usually it's protected with password during qualifying as well)

Question: Can I vote to restart? Is car reset allowed? Can I select a track even if I'm not an admin?
Answer: Server regulations are usually following:
- Allow vote kick / ban: no
- Allow guests to select tracks: yes
- Qualifying enabled: yes
- Allow mid-race join: yes and no* (see below)
- Allow car reset: yes in qualifying, usually no in race
- Pit stop required: yes
- Force cockpit view: no
- Cruise (wrong way allowed): no

* = Mid-race joining is allowed, but if more than 20% of the race distance has been driven (for example, 5 laps of the 25 lap race), no one (with the exception of Admins and Limads) can rejoin anymore. So if you wonder, why you can't join racing, this is the reason. You have to wait until the race ends.

And, you cannot vote to restart/end qualifying/race. You simply cannot. Here's why: in February 2016, we decided to open the server for everyone. However, it caused many problems and unclear situations during qualifying, when somebody decided to vote for race which caused to reset qualifying results completely. Because this happened several times, we decided to prohibit voting to restart/end qualifying/race completely.

Question: Does the server use LFS Lapper or Airio? Or anything else?
Answer: Server is using Airio Pros as an InSim.

Races:
Question: So, when the races will be held?
Answer: Races are held on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. When you're joining into the server, you can see on the Welcome-text that what time the races are held.

On every Friday and Saturday, the schedule for the races is following:
- 15:45-19:45: Qualifying (yes, qualifying lasts 4 hours. It's not hardcore-qualifying however. Instead, drivers are allowed to leave the server and rejoin later freely)
- 19:45-20:00: Warm-Up, during this, I (or somebody else from SRT) will brief everyone about the race (race length, amount of (required pit stops) and other special regulations will be told during this)
- 20:00: Race begins, race usually lasts about 20-50 minutes.

All times are in UTC+2 (Finnish-time)

On Sundays, schedule for races may be the same as it is during Fridays and Saturdays. However, because that weekday is also reserved for special races, it may have a different schedule which means that qualifying may start later than it normally would or the race starts earlier etc.)

Question: Can I see information of the future races/events?
Answer: Sure, you can see them from this subsection in here forum, you can see them as well in SRT's forum, if you understand Finnish and register there.

When I have enough time, I will also post the races in LFS.net/leagues as well. I have league called Sport Racing Team Finland already there.

However, you can see this week and next (two) week races, if you join to server and type command !events. I'm updating that on every third Sunday.

You may wonder, why the races have different colors? Well, if you type command !event, you see a explanation of the different colors used in command !events. I've posted them here as well:
- White: Race is normal, it doesn't have any special regulations
- Yellow: AI-drivers may race alongside human players
- Red: Only AI-drivers are allowed to participate
- Pink: Server is password protected for the event (it's always password protected if the event is Red-colored)
- Blue: Event has some special regulations not related to AI or password protecting, please contact a server admin or race organizer for more information
- Cyan: Race was originally driven in 2014-2016 and is therefore using the original rules as a rulebook. Therefore, that event is not using a rulebook called SRT-law, which has been official rulebook in these events from January 1, 2017 onwards.

Question: Wait WHAT!?! AI-DRIVERS!?!
Answer: Yes, one of the more interesting features is that AI-drivers may - if certain conditions are met - participate and race in these events.

AI-drivers are intended for following purposes:
1) Endurance-races, we actually tried in 2015 to have an endurance-series, where both human players and AI-drivers are allowed to race. However, only one human decided to drive alongside AI-drivers. No prizes for guessing who won 5 of 6 races. So we decided to make another season of that Endurance-series, but this time only AI-drivers were allowed to participate.

2) Risk vs. Reward-type of races. In these races, both human players and AI-drivers are allowed to participate. However, everyone can make a choice, whether to drive him/herself without having the "help" from his/her AI's or to not drive itself. In the latter case however, player is allowed to put two AI's on the track instead. So, if the player has a good AI-drivers and/or bit of luck, (s)he may gain more points from the event than had (s)he decided to participate him/herself without AI's. But of course, there is a risk that player's AI's are so stupid and slow that the player doesn't get any points of the event.

3) Tournament-based races. Whether it's Single/Double-elimination-based or Round Robin-based tournament, AI-drivers may be allowed in these. Because the races are usually so short and AI-drivers so slow, it's quite unlikely that they cause any harm to the human players itself.

Usually in purposes 1 and 3, everyone is allowed to put up to 3 AI's on track.

Question: So wait a second? Are AI-drivers allowed every time, if there is a Risk vs. Reward-type of race, or Endurance/Tournament-based race?
Answer: No, no, no, no. AI-drivers may be allowed only in these situations:
1) If the race is being held on Sunday - Sundays are reserved for special races, this is why Endurance- and Risk vs. Reward-type of races are usually held on Sundays.

So generally, if the race is not being held on Sunday, AI-drivers may not participate in that race. However, there are two exceptions for this:

2) If the race is Tournament-based event - doesn't matter if it's Single/Double Elimination- or Round Robin-based tournament, AI-drivers may be allowed in these races

3) If the race was originally driven in 2014-2016 and conditions render it necessary to use AI-drivers -
what the "conditions render it necessary to use AI-drivers" means is that AI-drivers are allowed in this case, but only, if the original race had AI-drivers as well.

In all other cases, no AI-drivers at all. And it's not guaranteed, that on every Sunday or whenever there is a Tournament-based event AI-drivers may participate. Decisions related using AI-drivers in events when they may be allowed to participate are made by server admins separately for each event.

Question: So, what is the SRT-law?
Answer: SRT-law is a rulebook for Sport Racing Team Finland. It's available only in Finnish at the moment. It has been the official rulebook for SRT's events since January 1, 2017.

The rulebook is available only at SRT's forum and at the not yet published SRT's website. Even though it has over 150 rules, vast majority of the rules are just common sense. So you shouldn't have anything to worry about Wink

Question: How the points will be given in these races?
Answer: Point system is usually this:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 8 points
3rd place: 6 points
4th place: 5 points
5th place: 4 points
6th place: 3 points
7th place: 2 points
8th place: 1 point
9th-> place: 0 points

This may however differ from series. Some series have had a GP2 or F1 points system.

Usually in order to be classified and receive points, driver must complete at least 80% of the race distance. That percentage amount has also changed in some series.

Question: May the event be cancelled if necessary?
Answer: In 2014-2016, there really wasn't a reason to cancel an event, unless server failed. In 2017 however, event may be cancelled if:
1) At the moment race should start, there are 0-3 drivers on the server/track or
2) At least 80% of the drivers retire from the race before the percentage amount which is the minimum amount to be classified and receive points (usually it's 80%). In this case, results will be determined as two laps before the event was cancelled. So if the race/event was cancelled at lap 27, results will be determined as of the end of the 25th lap.

Other questions:
Question: How can I contact you?
Answer: You can contact me on SRT's server, I'm using name [SRT]Traceur, although that Traceur-part may be written in Japanese as well. You may also use this subsection to contact me or just simply use private message-feature in LFS Forum to contact me!

Question: I have other questions!
Answer: Just ask! If you don't ask, you can't find answer to your question. It's that simple!

Question: Okay, what is the Admin-password for SRT's server?
Answer: Admin-password is... wait, sorry, I can't tell that for you. I can already imagine how complicated those races will be if everyone has that admin-password. That's why I can't tell that for you, sorry Frown

https://foorumi.srtfinland.com
- Another discussion forum (only in Finnish language)

http://tulokset.srtfinland.com
- "Result database" - you can find results and replays of nearly all the races. We used mpRes to make this.
(Site is in Finnish, English and German)

lfs://join=Sport%20Racing%20Team%20Finland/
- You can join in Sport Racing Team Finland's server here. Unless otherwise noted, it's open for everyone not banned (of course, you need to fill all the requirements in order to join the server via this URL: LFS-account, sufficient licence, LFS itself)

http://www.lfsworld.net/remote/?host=Sport+Racing+Team+Finland
- Server in LFS Remote

http://www.lfsworld.net/pubstat/live_progress.php?host=Sport+Racing+Team+Finland

- Points/Standings from each series (only in Finnish at the moment, should translate to English as soon as possible). You can also use this site to find out which series have already ended and which are running at the moment (if there is a lock icon next to series name when choosing a table, that series has already ended. If only series name is displayed, that series is running at the moment)

https://www.lfs.net/leagues/412-Sport-Racing-Team-Finland
- These races in LFS.net Leagues-section, I will add races soon there

If any more sites related to Sport Racing Team Finland's series/races will be added, I'll add them in this thread as well.

Maybe not a suggestion, but you could do something like this (assuming that you can edit files related to Airio on your server):

Quote from lucaf :me neither, but I dont find better solution with Airio Free that is running on server. Airio wants to spectate all drivers taking jump start (its a design thing, if spectating would not happen, the first sector time could be unfair because of jump start).

So I cannot prevent Airio from spectating jump starters.

Actually, it should be possible. In Airio.srv.txt at section Driving Filters, you can choose whether you like to always specate for false start (you're using this at the moment in your server), send to pitlane for false start (this may or may not be good for the driver who takes a false start) or do the normal thing in LFS (this will give a penalty which severity depends on that how early driver took the false start. And if that specific driver drives even more before starting lights turn green, he/she will be specated)

Quote :
And since I have midrace joining disabled, those drivers could not join race anymore from pits (happened to Katila in one event). So the rule I introduced was 10sec penalty to jumpstarters. But looked like this time in restart jumpstarter was in the back of the grid, so he did not need anymore that 10sec penalty. I think its not bad penalty to starting from the back of the grid.

You could allow midrace joining, but with this little trick done by Airio:

Again in Airio.srv.txt, but this time at the section called Joining Filters. Here you can configure that how many times drivers can rejoin the race and you can even do that after a set percentage amount of the race length has been driven (for example, 25% of the race length), rejoining will not be possible at all.

Here's what I have done in SRT's server:

I have configurated that if someone makes a false start, he/she will be returned to the pitlane. Midrace joining is possible, but each driver can rejoin only three times and if more than 20% of the race length has been driven, no one (with the exception of Admins and Limads) can rejoin anymore.

Even though that server is using an Airio Pros-version, changing those Driving/Joining-filters should be possible in Airio Free too.

So apparently, if I browse LFSWorld.net when not logged in and choose to display LFS-teams (= I'm viewing LFS Teams search-tab in LFS Racers database), the link for removing myself from the team is visible. However, it is only visible on those teams, that don't have any members at all.

In this case however, clicking that link doesn't seem to do much of anything.

Attached a screenshot about this.

Yeah, confirming that I've (already) encountered this warning on both lfsmanual.net and lfsworld.net when using Firefox.

I've sometimes wondered that why those sites are still using HTTP instead of HTTPS unlike LFS.net which has used that type of connection/protocol for like two years already? Therefore, I suggest that those two sites would also use HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Hi,

Sorry, if someone has already answered to this but anyway:

I do have one question about this new Blackwood. Why we cannot watch the replays of the races in the old Blackwood (it says Obsolete replay), but we can still watch the replays of the races which were driven on the old Westhill? It just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

please have a look into functions.php (includes/functions.php) at lines 128-130 and replace:

This should remove all color-coding from the names. Let's see if that shows you some name at least. If that's the case, the old function seems to be not compatible with your system. Can you tell me, what version of php you have installed on your server?

I made that edit into that file. Now, it seems that every name is now showed (albeit without colors).

That php-version in my server is 5.6.

Quote from avetere :See first post for update to v2.08 (Version 0.6R including new Blackwood)

I updated into v2.08, just making sure that it didn't fix that name-problem.

Quote :About the names problem: Did that also appear when you changed from http to https or did you change anything else that might have caused this?

I now removed my changes related changing http to https, so that mpRes looks normally fine other than missing those names.

Actually, I noticed this probably about a week or two earlier, before I changed that http to https. I inspected the code and it seems like that the links for LFSWorld-accounts are still there, the only thing that is gone is the linked driver name.

There is one thing that could be a possible reason for this. I noticed that I don't have very much space on my webserver (in fact, I only have like 15 MB remaining). So it could be possible, that the lack of remaining space removes/hides driver names.

I don't remember changing any PHP-files in mpRes. The one file I did edit however, is the one that displays available languages (because I needed to add Finnish language there as well). But I remember that even after I edited that file, it worked properly for like few months.

Quote :And finally for the finnish translation: Yes, please, I always appreciate input Wink

URL for Finnish translation file (it seems like I can't attach .ini-files here): http://www.paste.fi/file/14865172398591 - I used UTF-8 as an encoding, just to let you know in case it's not displaying properly Smile

PS: Am I the only one whose mpRes's graphs look terrible in Firefox? I've attached a screenshot which compares the graphs in Chrome (window on the left side of the picture) and Firefox (window on the right side of the picture). In Chrome, graphs are looking as they should look. (I tested this with IE as well, it displayed them properly)

So, I noticed that in this page: https://www.lfs.net/lfs_translate/public_translation_viewer.php we have a link for Offline translator utility/LFSTranslator.zip. However, when I clicked that, it says Invalid file. So I think it's pretty unnecessary to have that link in that site, unless it will be fixed.

Pretty much this means that either the link is broken or that Offline translator utility is redundant feature.

Hello,

I've been using this mpRes for about year and a half. Thank you for this! Smile

However, recently I have faced two problems. My website which uses mpRes is (I'm using version 2.07): https://tulokset.srtfinland.com/

1) My first problem is that, I tried to edit the .htaccess-file, so that it would always use https:// as a part of URL instead of http:// - however, it doesn't recognize any stylesheets after doing that.

This is what I added into my .htaccess-file.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^tulokset.srtfinland.com [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.tulokset.srtfinland.com [NC]
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://tulokset.srtfinland.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Additionally, I have changed $headlink in config.inc.php-file from http://tulokset.srtfinland.com into https://tulokset.srtfinland.com

I can fix this by removing changes I made, but obviously, it will then use HTTP as a protocol instead of HTTPS.

2) A bigger problem I have, is that for some reason, the driver/player names from every qualifying/sprint race/main race have just disappeared. Everything else is displayed though. What is interesting though, is that the names are displaying in graphs. Although, viewing graphs is not possible at the moment until my first problem has been fixed.

By the way, I have a small suggestion related to mpRes: could it be possible to define certain races to use TOC-data? What do I mean, is that I've organized some races where we have switched drivers during pit stops. But the problem is that, I've been organizing series, where only on some races we have switched drivers, not in all races on that series. And what this results is that results are not displayed properly either in all races where we switched drivers or in all races where we didn't switch drivers.

So what I would to get in mpRes, is that in .mprdiff-file, we could define that is TOC-data required in this race/have we switched drivers during pit stops.

PS: If you want, I can give you that Finnish translation we're using on that site so that you can add that in future versions of mpRes Smile

Thanks! The new Blackwood is really great!

By the way, I think you forgot to mention one thing about the changes from 0.6Q to 0.6R. That is:
- (Various/Some/Many) Translations updated - thank you translators!

Without that, I actually couldn't tell for sure that if translations were updated or not until I made a fresh installation of LFS. At least some of them are updated though.

Small question: is the track map of this new Blackwood going to be updated on LFS Remote after the official patch has been released regardless if the server is using this new Blackwood or the old Blackwood at the moment? Or is it already released on this test patch and it can be displayed, but only if the server is using a new Blackwood as a track?

All servers which are connected to LFS Remote and are using Blackwood as a track are displaying the old Blackwood as a track map, but I'm assuming that they all are still using the old Blackwood.

Sorry for bumping a quite old thread, but this seems quite necessary to inform:

Before anyone asks that how the new Blackwood (https://www.lfs.net/forum/thre ... ch-0-6Q10---New-Blackwood) is going to work properly in Airio, you need to do this:

Open Airio.tcd.txt-file and modify TrksList, TrksName, NoReverse and NoPitLane.

Here is a correct version of these modifications:

# Enter short names of all tracks (without R versions), separated by
# space and corresponding track names separated by comma (,).
TrksList=BL1 BL2 BL3 BL4 SO1 SO2 SO3 SO4 SO5 SO6 FE1 FE2 FE3 FE4 FE5 FE6 AU1 AU2 AU3 AU4 KY1 KY2 KY3 WE1 WE2 WE3 WE4 WE5 AS1 AS2 AS3 AS4 AS5 AS6 AS7
TrksName=GP Track, Historic, Rallycross, Car Park, Classic, Sprint 1, Sprint 2, Long, Town Course, Chicane Route, Club, Green, Gold, Black, Rallycross, RallyX Green, Autocross, Skid Pad, Drag Strip, 8 Lane Drag, Oval, National, GP Long, National, International, Car Park, Karting, Karting National, Cadet, Club, National, Historic, Grand Prix, Grand Touring, North, ISSC, National, Oval, ISSC Long, Lake, Handling, International, Historic, Historic Short, International Long, Sportscar

# These tracks don't support reverse configuration.
NoReverse=BL4 AU1 AU2 AU3 AU4 WE3 RO1 RO2 RO3 RO4 RO5 RO6 RO7 RO8 RO9 RO10 RO11

# On these tracks there is no pitlane for SG and DT penalties.
NoPitlane=BL4 SO2 SO3 FE6 AU1 AU2 AU3 AU4 WE3 WE4 WE5 A13 A14 B21 K21 F24 RO5

Now, still in the Tcd-file, you may also need to edit these:

# -------------------------- BL1 Options -------------------------- #

# Following values apply only to this track
Track=BL1
.
.
.

Copy these options and when you've copied, change BL1 on the copied one into BL2 and change the title on the copied one into BL2 Options (not necessary, but surely will help you by making this more clear).

Also, there are options for BL2 immediately after the BL1 (and now, BL2) Options. In the latter BL2 Options, we have this:

# -------------------------- BL2 Options -------------------------- #
Track=BL2
.
.
.

Change both BL2-words to BL3 (only the latter one is required, but changing the first one as well will make your Tcd-file more clear).

And finally, we have this:

# ---------------------- Other Track Options ---------------------- #

Track=BL1R
# Ignore yellow flags caused in specific BL1R areas.
NoYellowNodes=72-92 + 160-170

Track=BL2R
ProhibitedTyres=Normal+Super

First, change the Track=BL2R to BL3R. After that, copy the Track=BL1R and it's options and then change track on the copied one into BL2R.

After this, you may need to use the !node command to have PitEntryNode, PitExitNode, RestrictedZones, LimitedZones, MaxSpeedNodes and NoYellowNodes correct nodes on these tracks. Although this is not required, you may face unintended penalties if you don't update these. But I'm not sure, is it necessary to update these nodes, in other words, I don't know yet, is Airio going to punish you, for example, for driving into restricted area when in reality, you have been on the race track all the time.

Pretty much the only required thing to update is the first code snippet, the rest of them are only required, if for example you're going to have restricted zones in Blackwood or want drivers to obey the pit exit in these tracks Smile

Not sure yet that is there anything else to update in Airio due to this Blackwood update.

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :Cool, I did check it out more, it could had been still also on MUTA, but it depends on two things...
.
.
.

I now translated those words into these (I only translated them in my own LFS-Client, I haven't yet translated these in online translation system):
- NORMAALI -> NORMAALIRENKAAT
- HYBRIDI -> HYBRIDIRENKAAT
- PEHMEÄ -> PEHMEÄT RENKAAT
- MAASTO -> MAASTORENKAAT
- SLIKSIT RX (X = 1/2/3/4) -> RX-SLIKSIRENKAAT

They all seem to fit in there, though just barely. In my opinion, RX-SLIKSIT could be actually pretty good there, it looks better and more reasonable than SLIKSIT RX.

My question is that, is it necessary to have the word/part "Renkaat" there? The tab in garage already says that you're modifying/checking tires.

PS: Possible spoilers:

In this game, there are also tires called: SLICK_SOFT (Pehmeät Sliksit), SLICK_MEDIUM (Puolikovat Sliksit), SLICK_HARD (Kovat Sliksit), RACE_SLICK (Sliksit), RACE_GROOVED (Urarenkaat), RACE_INTERMEDIATE (Välikeli) and RACE_WET (Märkä). I translated the first three into Pehmeät Sliksirenkaat, Puolikovat Sliksirenkaat and Kovat Sliksirenkaat and the last two into Välikelin renkaat and Märät renkaat.

But when I refershed that language file in LFS, it warned that Pehmeät Sliksirenkaat is too long by two letters and Puolikovat Sliksirenkaat is too long by five letters (therefore, Kovat Sliksirenkaat is the maximum length of word related to tires). So I think it's best, that at least Pehmeät/Puolikovat/Kovat sliksirenkaat are just called Pehmeät/Puolikovat/Kovat sliksit.

Anyway, is this going to tell us that tracks are going to get pretty wet after tyre physics are ready? Big grin

I updated Keys.pdf-file. Fixed some mistakes and also added one more button combination there (Shift+-, which blocks all messages, not just chat messages). I've attached the updated Keys.pdf-file.

By the way, small suggestion related to translating. Could it be possible that assigned translators would get some kind of title here in forum to inform other users that they are translators and what language(s) they are translating? Here's why: I've noticed that sometimes people are informing that they have noticed mistakes in translations and are telling that kind of information in Patch TEST-section for example. By having a title here, it could help other users to inform them (translators) (via private messaging for example) about mistakes in that specific translation that they (translators) haven't noticed.

In case you didn't understand what I suggested, I've attached a example screenshot about this which shows this suggestion/title. It may not be high in your priority list and for me, it can wait and I'm perfectly fine without it, but it could be a nice little and helpful feature Smile

Knobbly Tires are in finnish: Mukurarenkaat ( KNOBBLY = MUKURA )

in finnish term, Knobbly Tires are translated in LFS: Mutarenkaat ( MUTA = MUD )

This error has been like since forever when LFS got finnish translation...

Of course, there is no direct finnish word for Knobbly... But knobblys are more like for off-roading... then we come in this:

OFF-ROAD = MAASTOAJO

So, I suggest to change word "MUTA" to "MAASTO"

EDIT: Actually, it is direct word for Knobbly as Mukura, but that term is not most likely used in finnish, it is simply called as Maastorenkaat = Knobbly tires

Thank you for this suggestion/correction. I've now changed that word in both online translation system and in my LFS-Client.

In case you can't wait to see the end of MUTA-word, I've attached a screenshot of this correction Big grin
