For some weird reason, when I installed LFS, it worked correctly, albeit having the same error message. However, when I started single player race on Kyoto Ring GP Long, Avast blocked LFS by thinking that it was a serious threat and it froze that LFS by force. I had to create exception via Avast so that LFS could continue (I didn't need to quit LFS at least).

I'm gonna install it to another instance so I could hopefully show a screenshot what happened.

I've never experienced anything similar to that freezing before that in LFS.

Installed T3, got same (error) message.

However I think the reason why I've gotten that error message is because Avast is informing that this new patch is potentially dangerous. If somebody else has an Avast and has experienced the same issue when installing, could you tell did you also get this message?

Avast thinks both the patch/7-zip-file and LFS.exe (when updated) are potentially dangerous. That scanning which it does must've done something, especially because after Avast reports that this new LFS.exe is not dangerous, it forces LFS to restart again and this time, that (error) message is no longer displayed.

Quote from Scawen :I hope the AI skill level settings look easy enough to understand in the game setup screen (lobby).

Yes they are Smile

However, command /help does not display any of those new AI-commands. I know that they're not Admin-commands, but could they be typed in docs/Commands.txt-file instead (I didn't find them there either)? Therefore they would be found at least in somewhere instead user having to manually navigate to this forum (or alternatively, read that ReadMe-file telling about the new patch)

Quote from Scawen :It's really just a quick update to fix these very serious issues with some new VR headsets. I found a few other things to fix and some quick updates. I won't be getting into improving the AI drivers in this version of Live for Speed. I'm getting right back to the lighting code in the development version next week.

Sorry for one little suggestion, but since we're at the moment doing some minor AI-updates during this week, could it be possible to add this one more AI-update? It's not related to improving AI-drivers at all, it is just one minor change that could be really useful in at least some cases.

It is that we could change our local AI's F11- and F12-settings displayed in those windows at any time. AI's could still use those default settings they use at the moment, but the ability to change those settings whenever you want in single/multiplayer race would be really useful feature.

More information about this can be found from here: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/92583

Quote from Scawen :I didn't change anything to do with controllers, and haven't seen that error, so I don't know what that could be. Maybe just a coincidence?

Maybe it's just my computer, but I've installed this patch now for five different LFS instances and that same (error) message is always displayed once. And it's always displayed during that moment, when I launch LFS first time after updating.

I attached deb.txt and also in-game screenshot. Ignore those three error messages related to skins, I certainly know they're displayed because I myself have attached some incorrect files to skins-folders.

For some weird reason, LFS itself says that it's on version 0.6T2, but deb.txt-file mentions that version is still 0.6T.

Little off-topic, but could it be also possible to fix this minor, but still quite annoying bug which has been around in LFS for 3 years (I assume ever since you disabled handbrake from single-seater-cars)? https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/89188

Sorry if I missed something, but after installing this new version and opening LFS, I get a message:

DI : DirectInput8Create - DIERR_GENERIC

However, this only happens when I launch LFS first time after updating. If I restart LFS after that, this message is no longer displayed.

Just curious, because I've never seen that message before.

Mandatory pit stops: 0
80% limit: (minimum lap amount to get classified): 104 laps unless you're using lower skill level for AI's:
- For "QUICK"-skill: 101 laps
- For "OK"-skill: 98 laps
- For "LEARNER"-skill: 94 laps
- For "BEGINNER"-skill: 91 laps

Wind speed: 25-29km/h

Race type: Race has many special regulations. First of all, only AI-drivers are allowed to participate. Secondly, server will be protected with password for whole event. Also, for all drivers, one AI-driver has to use FXO GTR (FXR), another must use XR GTR (XRR) and third one must use FZ50 GTR (FZR) during event. All this is possible because maximum amount of AI-drivers per guest on server is 3.

Please note that as a new rule, FZ50 GTR now has 1% intake restriction as well 15kg added mass.

This race will be streamed on Twitch. Stream begins during Warm-Up and ends after race. https://www.twitch.tv/srtfinland

Minimum license: S2

Schedule (all times are in UTC+2):

- 16:10: Server will be password protected

- 16:15: Qualifying begins and lasts 90 minutes. It is divided into 4 parts. First three lasts 25 minutes and final one lasts 15 minutes. For first 25 minutes, only FXO GTR's are allowed to drive, for the next 25 minutes, only XR GTR's may drive. After that, FZ50 GTR's are allowed to drive for the next 25 minutes and for the final 15 minutes, all three cars are allowed to drive.

Because AI-drivers extremely likely will return to the pitlane when they're on lap 4 during qualifying, you can return them back on track by two ways:
If you're Admin: Use command /pitlane [AI-driver's name] or

If you're Admin or Guest: Use command /spec [AI-driver's name] and then command /ai [AI-driver's name]. Just make sure, that when you're typing AI-driver's name when typing /ai-command, you have to make sure, that you type it using exact same colors that it has in his/her name.

AI-driver who gets a pole position earns 4 points. 2nd fastest AI during qualifying gets 2 points while 3rd fastest AI gets 1 point.

- 17:45: Qualifying ends and Warm-up/Briefing begins. During this session, make sure that you have your AI's on track and they're using right setups and have right amount of restrictions. Also at this moment, drivers will be guessing, which AI-skill level earns most points in race itself. At this moment, SRT's stream goes live on https://www.twitch.tv/srtfinland

- 18:00: Warm-Up/Briefing ends and Race begins. Race lasts approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. If you want your AI-driver to make pitstop on certain lap, do this:
- If you're admin: Assign a Stop 'n' Go-penalty for that AI-driver by command /p_sg [AI-driver's name] before it starts it's last sector of the lap. During last sector, before (s)he goes into pitlane, clear that penalty by command /p_clear [AI-driver's name].

- If you're guest: Ask me to give a penalty for your AI-driver as assigning penalties even for own AI-drivers is only possible for admins. Please inform me, that which AI-driver you want to go into pitlane and on which lap.

There is also possibility to give Drive-Through-penalty for your own AI-driver, if you have a faster AI-driver behind him/her. If you want your AI-driver to go into pitlane, but not for pitstop, you need to do pretty much the same thing that you do, when you want your AI-driver to make a pitstop on certain lap via Stop 'n' Go-penalty. There are two differences though:
1) You don't need to remove/clear that penalty on last sector (clearing that penalty - as long as that AI-driver is on it's last sector of the lap - does not make any harm though)
2) If you're admin: you need to type /p_dt [AI-driver's name] to assign Drive-Through-penalty instead of typing /p_sg [AI-driver's name].

As a new rule for this season, you are allowed to rescue your AI-driver if it's stuck (not flipped). As this is first race during this season, you get 10 rescue chances for whole season. However, rescuing must be done via Autocross-objects and if you force other user's AI to retire because of that, that "rescued" AI will be immediately disqualified.

- 21:00: Race ends. Drivers who are in top-3 in terms of fastest laps and are classified will get points. Driver who drives fastest lap and gets classified will earn 4 points. 2nd fastest driver gets 2 points while 3rd fastest driver gets 1 point. Also, drivers who are in top-3 in terms of highest speed velocity will get points. Driver who has highest speed velocity gets 4 points, driver who has 2nd highest speed velocity gets 2 points while 3rd fastest driver gets 1 point.

And drivers who guessed right that which skill level gets most points during race earn points. Naturally, the more slower skill leveled AI you guessed, the more points you get if that AI earns most points.

Race is replica from 6th race of 5th season of the Finnish Semi-Endurance League which was held on August 19, 2017. Race has some special regulations.

Server is password protected during race (not during qualifying). Password is taskumatti

Pitlane is open on every lap, with the exception of the first and last lap. However, every driver must change their tires at least five times and must refuel at least three times. It doesn't matter if you change just one tyre or all four tires. Same goes with refueling, if you refuel at least something, it's okay.

Race starts in a formation session. Speed limit in formation session is 80km/h (or 50mph). At 20:00-20:02 (UTC+2), drivers drive in single-file formation. Warming tires during this is allowed. At 20:02 (again, time is in UTC+2), drivers will go to double-file formation. Warming tires from now on is prohibited. At 20:03 (UTC+2), race begins.

Instructions will be displayed in chat as race messages. I have scheduled commands that at 20:00, instructions related to formation session and single-file appear. Then, at 20:02, instructions making a double-file formation appear. And finally, at 20:03, will be displayed message Green Flag! (or something like that).

Those drivers who don't follow the rules in formation session will be kicked.

If necessary, yellow and red flags may be used. If red flag is shown, race will be stopped either temporarily or permanently. Drivers must follow instructions/orders from admins. Drivers may also be forced to use the same speed that they used in Formation session if necessary.

Point system is different than it normally is:
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 20 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 10 points
5th place: 8 points
