Baby UFR League season 2 - Race 1 Fernbay Gold
ineX Racing's Rudy van Buren discovered a test race for season two of the Baby UFR League. Impressed by the size of the grids, Rudy decided that he would sign up for round one, held at Fern Bay Gold. He needed to get through a pre-qualification system at the end of which he'd find himself in one of three pools. With 108 drivers going through pre-qualifying system, it would be a close battle for getting a spot in the first pool.
During qualifying Rudy managed to pull off a great lap, assuring pole position by 0.18 seconds.
The first race was relatively uneventful. Rudy kept the lead for the entire race while only receiving pressure from Joe Holmes in the first few laps of the race. Soon thereafter Rudy extended the lead by one to two tenths each lap to win the race by a total of 3.6 seconds at the finish line.
The second race would have a top twelve reversed grid, something that didn't sit well with Rudy since the first two corners on Fern Bay Gold are a tight squeeze. Both Rudy and Joe Holmes, after indeed some very close moments, would be right on the tail of the driver in first position by the fourth lap. On lap six, Joe Holmes went for an outside move on the leader. This didn't prove to be fruitful as he and the leading driver made contact which forced Holmes to go on the grass and thus, gave his second place running order to Rudy. Two laps later, the ineX Racing driver would find himself right behind the leader. After a straight away attack, he would take another win.
In the end, it proved to be a great event for ineX's flying Dutchman, who managed to get pole position and bring home two wins in the Baby UFR League debut.
