Senna was never penalized because there was nothing they could do to penalize him, Senna saw a loop in the rules and even Balestre highlighted that even though it was injust and unfair there was nothing they could do. What can you do? You cannot take points away from him as that that is not the rules, and how do you fine a man who is earning up to $25m a year. Please stop talking out of your arse mister
Two podiums in as many races for Team Vires 29th March 2012
The first came in the exciting new series from Genuine Racing at South City Long Reversed with the GT1 cars, where Sean Williams scored a 3rd place on his return to GT1 racing after a long period without driving the cars. Sean drove a brilliant race, chasing Dennis Lind across the line and fighting well with Evo Racing drivers at the start.
The second came after a long battle at Westhill International Reversed in the GT3 Touring Car Cup where Pierre Peron and James Peace finished second after 3 hours despite a huge lag hit whilst fighting for the lead which turned the 05 Vires car around and into the wall at 225kph close to the two hour mark. Having started from Pole, Peron saw off the intentions of those around him to remain in the lead for most of the hour before a series of mistakes demoted him to 6th. Peace then took over the car and made good progress and within an hour was right on the tail of the leading CoRe Racing XRR, but was to suffer the lag hit which plummeted the car down to 12th. A mission to get back to the top 5 for points sake was then embarked upon by Peace who moved up to 4th before 3rd and 2nd placed Savage SimSports and SpdoRacing collided just half a car length in front of him and opened the door for 2nd place. The good haul of points keeps the 05 car in the hunt for the championship. Tamás 'skyline_TOmy' Csáki made his Team Vires debut in the number 21 car along with Team Rock Racing rookie Joakim Rognlien which, due to the severe misfortunes of the number 16 cars drivers Przemek Wdowiarz and Jere Heiskanen, finished a high 14th place, beating the 16 car.
Team Vires move into Easter focusing on the next round of the GT3 Touring Car Cup, the long awaited start of the GT2 World Series and a continuing participation in Genuine Racing's GT1 Championship, and wishing everyone a happy Easter!
Was going to apologise but forgot post-race so sorry! I rejoined in the middle of the track and I didn't want to pick a line when I saw you coming cos it would have looked like I blocked you and I would have been shunted in the ass, so sorry that it pushed you on the grass
Was a very good race, just watched the replay and it was so unfortunate for my contact with CoRe I was literally half a car width away from your car and I still got a huge lag hit which turned me around straight away and put me straight into the wall! Was great fun anyway and had me working hard getting back to the top 3.
it's all ifs and buts to be honest, I lost approx 25secs from the lag hit hen I was fighting with CoRe and a further 15secs slowing down for a non existent safety car. But yeah you had it bad, spdo and vires tend to have pretty epic bad luck
I think instead of blaming the admins we all need to understand the situation. Tracker wasn't up, this needs to be planned way in advance before confirms are open to be honest but that's just the tip of the iceberg. It isn't fair for Matt to attempt to run the whole league by himself, it just doesn't work that way, so instead of shooting him down why not offer a little bit of help, pull together as a community and actually enjoy racing?
Secondly, admins are admins, and Ray, when you are driving please be quiet. I was really disappointed when you started saying there was a SC out when there was no need for one, as I obeyed the rules and lost a lot of time for no reason. But I guess you were just trying to help out I guess. SpdoRacing, I know that you felt you were fighting for position but when the admins are telling you to move you might as well move rather than fight for position and end up with all this grief afterwards.
I really enjoy the concept of the league ( although I still feel XRR's are overpowered compared ) and therefore I will set the ball rolling and offer help to the cause of the league. Matt, add me on skype and I will see where I can help out and ask around the guys to help also as we have a wealth of running league 'knowledge' ( Pierre running LFSES with Miro, Arco being a professional SC, Miro being a NDR admin for a while, Miro and other members in the team helping with the NWL concept ).
Thanks for the great racing and congrats to the top 3.
Long run down to T1, I expect him to have a slow get away and be about 8th by the end of the lap. Schumi will have a chance at the McLarens on lap one, and we can't really write the Merc's off as Rosberg is statistically bad at races (from memory) and Schumi of course is good in races. So we shall see, but it would be great to see Michael on the podium.
Hoping Webber will have a better start than last time, and Button will probably have an awful get away from that dirty side of the track.
