Anybody on virgin media broadband have issues with traffic shaping causing disco's from the master server? I'm considering ditching tiscali/sky/bt for a vm package (it's cheaper for starters) - I can live whatever tv I get but want to get back to actually being able to have a race in the evening...
A series of recent events (visit to quack, brother gave me an old bike) made me realise that I need to get some exercise & that I hadn't ridden a bike since 1986 (when I finished University)
mmm, apparently I've gone platinum too (everybody???). Would explain why I've just been getting a 'you will not progress in this car' after each race this evening.
Sometimes I'd rather race than worry about voting (particularly kick/ban where I haven't seen anything to make me want to kick/ban said individual)
Other times, restart votes seem to start the instant the winner has crossed the finish line & I've still got half a lap to do (though a no vote might help here)
There's other places this is an issue & something more concrete (well, maybe) needs sorting. It spoils it for me to race with somebody who overtakes 'off track' or gets good lap times because they've missed out a big chunk of track. Problem is, people do sometimes genuinely miss a turn & it would be a pity to turn every track into arnco laden city tracks...
Anybody who comes along, joins in, races fair (but firm if they like), doesn't cause other users grief, goes away smiling & lets others go away smiling.
October 2004 - MrsK went on holiday with Wills & my mom - I stayed at home (we were having the house rewired).
Tried the demo (offline only iirc) one afternoon & coughed up my £12 within a matter of hours (there was a small delay whilst the devs added England as an available country).
I still remember the first time I ran GPL... Lotus at Monza & about 4fps...
Whilst I don't fully understand the question - I either race in cockpit view or wheels view. I prefer full cockpit but sometimes I just like to be able to run close to apexes, arnco etc.
If in the former I like to see the back seats when I look backwards & when in the latter I like to see (just) the back wheels. In each case I think the backward view should compliment the forward view.
I'm sure we've had this in a thread before but mine are all named after characters from Camberwick Green, Trumpton & Chigley... http://www.t-web.co.uk/trumpgo.htm
