I think something like the song name information display could read information from the .ogg file itself. (Making sure you add it to the file so it actually contains data, as in the conversion process, no song data is carried over (because it is a new file format)).
And there has been some strange 'flashes' of either black colours or just random textures appearing really briefly at random times when driving on the track.
I don't think that it is present in any of the other games I play;
TrackMania, GRID, etc.
I presume it might be my old CPU or maybe my graphics card sort of letting up?
I checked ATITool's Scan for Artifacts option for 10 min, and no artifacts were found...
Any ideas?
[EDIT: Okay, I think since I had VSync on must have caused the problem...]
Where does it say in the rules or in any sort of LFS Forum known rules of conduct that I can't recommend other fellow demo'ers to buy S2?
I'm quite aware of the massive prejudice against demo'ers, and I do intend to buy S2. In fact, I could have already sent the money order to the devs already and not told anyone...
I have never driven any S2/S2 content, and never will until I buy S2.
You probably realise that those demo'ers who use that excuse of driving on their "friend's S2 account" is more or less a half-formed scapegoat for their illegal use of S2 content without payment to the LFS devs.
CMX Viewer is what I have used to see the cars, and it also helps in my texture modifications, also searching in Google for a picture of whatever car in LFS guarantees a picture of the car.
Also LFS Manual/LFS main site shows images of the cars.
I'm looking forward to Shift, regardless of anyone else's hatred/opinion of the game.
EA may not be known for the best, most realistic and comprehensive titles, but they do listen to their buyers (sometimes, okay, rarely).
(I was thinking of posting this slightly OT rant about pointless, vaguely justified hater's posts, but I thought not to...)
I'm heavily set on buying S2, however since I'm paranoid about stolen bank accounts and such, I am resorting to money order, (preferably self-sent with no hassle).
Would anyone have some pointers on how this process will go down? I have read the instructions on the Shopinfo pages too many times already.
If it at all matters, I have the $50 Australian dollars sitting in front of me, begging to be sent.
Absolutely any decent (even intergrated Intel graphics chipsets), or better (cards from Nvidia's GeForce range or ATI/AMD's RADEON range) will work fine with LFS.
As far as I know, there's not really a best card for LFS, as it itself is more CPU dependent.
However, as a rough estimate, Nvidia's Geforce 6 series or better (7/8/9/GTX 200 series) or ATI/AMD's RADEON HD 2 series or HD 3 series/HD 4 series/etc should be fine to max out LFS at good frame rates.
