I will admit. If it wasn't for Team Bridgestone, I most likely wouldn't be watching it.

Cue-ball, do you do any autocrossing in the area?

I'm curious if any of you are still watching this. Team Bridgestone (Ron, Kevin, and Doug) is the team made up of the local autocrossers around here. I actually was racing with Ron and Kevin this weekend. I tried to avoid bugging them too much about the show.

Anyway, the season finally is tonight, and they've made it to the top four. With the final race being a 60 lap race between the remaining 4 teams.

I have:

An electric organ,
electric guitar,
accordian,
two didgeridoos,
two recorders,
and a jaw harp.

A friend of mine just dropped off his drum set at my new house the other day as well.

Out of all of those, all I can really play well is the jaw harp!

I mainly play the vocals the best, though!

Wow! That might be as rediculous as me racing my El Camino back in the day! Maybe slightly worse than what I'm racing right now.

I think I need to hurry up and fix my damn Fiero.

A few of you probably already seen it, but I guess I'll post it up again. Not really race related, though.

I'm interested in seeing it. One of the teams is made up of 3 of the local racers around here that I know all too well. So I'm curious on how well they faired.

I voted Ventrillo, since I never really use Teamspeak. But Ventrillo kinda pissed me off with they're authorized server BS. We used to host are own server, on our rented server machine (we as in www.dweebfire.com). But we're not authorized to host a 2.3.0 server, so we started to rent one out, and now have to deal with the occasional network lag spikes and poor connections.

I can remember my first racing game I played. Bump and Jump for Intelevision!

Hard Drivin' and Race Drivin'. I can't believe I haven't seen anyone mention these yet. I used to spend all the change my mom gave to me while she was at league bowling on these games. They taught me how to drive stick at the right old age of 11. It still has one of the best game physics out there, besides jumping a Testerossa 150 feet and landing it.

I remember the days of playing Indy 500. Dispite playing it using the integrated PC speaker (that sounded great!) It was still enjoyable. I really liked the little triangle polygons that fly around when you wreck!

Then there's all those damn Papyrus games. I remember my first PC racing game was Indycar Racing. I think I still have the original box. I played this for hours on end. Nascar Racing and Nascar Racing 2 sucked alot of my childhood away as well. I got GPL, but it seemed way too hard to play without a wheel a the time.

Monster Truck Madness kept me occupied for a bit.

Need for Speed was one of my favorites. I loved the NFS series back then, when they at least tried to make it realistic. I ended up getting NFS2, but never really had a good computer to run it properly back then.

Viper Racing sparked my interest for a bit. The first PC game I played that allowed you to use a clutch. I thought that was way cool!

I also had my sessions of of Gran Tourismo as well, 1-3. I have 4, but I rarely play it.

I spent many hours playing Mobil 1 Rally Championship. Though the physics of the game weren't quite there, I still think it's a more realistic rally game than RBR. There's so much more to the game. Day/Night races. Weather, of course. Better pace notes. And OMG, the longest courses! It was great!

I also played Motor City Online for the entire duration it was available. Though I didn't race in it that much, since my computer at the time also could barely run it. Instead I was way too occupied with modding the cars and building up they way I wanted them. That was too fun!

Now I simply enjoy my time with GTR2, GTL, LFS, and RBR, mainly.

If I had to choose 3 favorites of all time?

Hehe, I found the demo and played it like a week ago. Drove through the first few missions. Then I got tired of it, cause the FFB was about to break my table! Where's the incab view?

What's good about Pink Floyd. Pretty much every one of their albums are ment to be heard from beginning to end. The songs just simply tie into one another so smoothly. I agree that Darkside is among one of the best albums. But it's not my favorite Floyd album. Actually, The Wall is quickly approaching Darkside's sales figures. I enjoy listening to The Wall much more. I think it's a more complete album. Not to mention it's got the best full length music video to go with it. I also enjoy Wish You Were Here and Animals more than Darkside.

Pink Floyd is truely one of the greatest artists of all time. I got to see Roger Waters live back in 2000. One of my favorite shows. I didn't get to see him last year though, cause I was too broke. I pray for a reunion tour!!!

Amp, it's understandable that you probably wouldn't like it if it's a genre that you don't associate with too often. People say Purple Rain is truely a great album, but I know I wouldn't enjoy it, cause I don't like Prince's music.

I just played it during the free weekend on Steam. As a general racing game, it's actually pretty good. But as a SimBin game, it's the worst yet. The physics are pretty good, but the sounds and graphics are kinda bland. Alot of track side cardboard cutouts. I think, if you find a good deal for it, it's worth picking up.

Well, I played it for alittle bit. I did catch a bug or two, but nothing that really effected the game. The worst thing for me was that the screen in the incar view was annoyingly gray.

Graphics and sounds aren't as good as the other SimBin games. If your used to playing other SimBin games, this game is kinda a dissapointment, cause your going in with high expectations. But as a fresh start into SimBin, it's actually a pretty good game.

I wasn't a fan of the physics in the demo, but they seem alot better, alot more realistic in the full version.

What annoyed me alot was alot of the cardboard cutouts on the trackside.

But, I'll probably buy it, just because it's another decent racing game I can add to my collection. Plus it's not that badly priced.

It was the same deal when I lived in Phoenix for 2 years. I'm from Washington State (known for it's rain 12 months in the year), so when I moved into the Phoenix desert, when it rained, most people drove like it just snowed. There were the people that were super careful, then the ones that were super careless.

On the side note about tires, it's a shame you can't really tell how steep that hill was in the video. It recently snowed pretty decently here in Washington a couple weeks ago. Plus it stayed below freezing throughout the day, so the snow easily turned to ice. I used my Syclone to drive everywhere I needed to go, which was running on bald Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's (The compete opposite from a snow tire that a street tire can be). I had no problems getting where I needed to go. Even on the hills. I guess the common person doesn't know that car won't stop, turn, or maneuver as well, when your tires are slipping.

I use Steam to play many games. I've used Steam since it came out. It contains no malicious software. They only really advertise on the main page. I have no problems with it. It was alittle buggy when they first released it, but it has gotten alot better and alot more stable.

I preloaded RACE last night. It took me about 10 minutes. I see the price went down too, so hopefully it's good, we'll see.

Complete my last year's new year's resolution!

That was bowl a 300 game. I was only able to get a 262.

I was also hoping to buy a house, hopefully by the end of the year,

and continue to upgrade my damn computer until it's able to run Flight Sim X with all sliders right!

So if Microsoft has every airport in the world on two DVD's for Flight Simulator X, then that means they can fit all of the worlds streets, roads, highways, freeways, back alleys, avenues, back roads, trails, driveways, racetracks, etc. etc. on, hmmmmmm, say, about 35 DVD's. It could happen! Have at it Microsoft!!!

Your right. You should be able to drive whatever you want on whatever track you want in the world, then load it up on the back of a trailer, drive to the next track, unload, and have at it on another track!!!!

I want to see if I can loose the cops in an Austrailian Truck Train! It could be like one of the missions, like FSX has!!!

2004 is a HUGE step up from 2000. Alot of the less famous cities are still very well detailed. The very first time I played 2004, I started at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. I used to live in Phoenix, AZ for a good 2 years, and I was amazed how much detail they put into that city.

I can't wait for this! I just spent $1300 upgrading my damn computer to play Oblivion and this!

If you don't like to wait the entire flight to fly from Japan to USA, just do what I do, take off, set the autopilot, go to bed, wake up, land!
