The online racing simulator
well that's not what I meant, the issue was getting the RAR to GTR-spec, which is ~500hp, not 1000.
A twin (or triple) turbo could do it to avoid the engine being too peaky, if a larger displacement isn't possible, considering the 'real' RAC is NA.

So a 500hp RAR is definitely possible, and everybody wants it... the only real issue is that it's another inline 4.. but multiple turbos should sway some minds..

Ah, but just because they are great, and think alike, does that make them right?
Quote from Rappa Z :i found that out yesterday. No display in cockpit with manual is amazingly real. try it if you haven't.

I don't really get what you are trying to tell me. Do you mean everything on screen(laptimes etc.) turned off with only "raw" LFS visible?

Quote from http://www.raceabout.fi/content/3_1.html :ENGINE Saab turbocharged, all-aluminum straight four. Engine displacement 1,998 dm3. Custom-made Intercooler. Free flow air filter. Kemira Metalkat twin-catalyst exhaust system and one silencer

Naturally turbo aspirated that is
Quote from Vain :And what do you critizise?
I think about no LFS car (except the 24h-GTRs) has done 1000km before it respawned for the next race in 100% new condition.

From that point of view it might be okay, but we don't really need such a blown car, as some can't even control the GTR cars very good.
Today we'll only get a small improvement update. Why? On first day there was the little tyre sidewall update, on second day we had the first big one: aero physics. Then, the small dashboard update and then the second big one: tyre physics.... so today we'll get another little improvement i think
Yeah, I meant the real RAC is turboed.

Ehm, Victor, you forgot something. *poke*

I see Tweak, who AFAIK does the main site, is offline on MSN though...
I guess Victor can post news, and Tweak does the layout and screenshots.
this waiting is stealing years from my life :-\

ROFL
every minute i stay here i'm probably losing a day of life.
They could easily add rain, or at least the physics aspect... just change the physics system over to S1's setup for when the ground is wet. Problem solved
Victor, just clik the "post" bouton plz !!!!
I doubt that road tyres pull 1.2g on a wet surface.

sounds like fun
Quote from Breizh :Yeah, I meant the real RAC is turboed.

250 bhp/l isn't possible unless you're in Formula 1. Of course it is "possible" but you'd have a huge difference in BHP and torque, which would be unrealistic.
Besides, the RA doens't weigh that much, so in theory it could qualify as some kind of a Lotus Elise GTR, with less power than the big guns.
i might be being just really really lame and stupid, but the lfs site and links went down for about 1 min, any link i tried failed...but my connection was fine, but judging by how many people are hitting F5 it might have something to do with that
