She does... she's reading/writing a lot and also does quite a bit of spiritual stuff (meditation, etc). The thing that is getting in the way for both of us is that we prefer to spend the time together at the moment, but once the pink glasses are completely off, we'll probably both find our way back to our hobbies. Let's keep the hopes up for now...

Well, we've been together two months now, so i'd say we can wear them a little longer.

I managed to spend two weekends alone with my music since i know her, which is ok for me atm. Guess i was lucky so far...

I still manage to do music while living with my girlfriend. I've got a band on the go at the moment and I also go busking with a couple of different guitarists. I try to play every day and although I do miss a few it's usually because all my other life stuff gets in the way, and by the time all that's done either I'm too tired or it's too late to start bashing out tunes on a double bass.

I don't really play computer games any more though. I'll still play one sometimes if I just want to relax but they are a bit of a waste of time really aren't they.

Hey not to worry. After about 15 years of marriage in which your children become the age where they hate you, you'll be able to have your hobbies back. I was just out flying my RC airplane this evening. Wouldn't have been able to do that 2 years ago as I wasn't just a stupid dad whom needs to be hated back then.

Teenage years are starting way too early for my kids...

I couldn't do that... I could deal with it if my partner wasn't into the things i was, but if it was making it hard for me to do said things...i'd go nutty.

I couldn't ever be with someone that didn't enjoy the things i do, i love it that my gf comes out and enjoys fetching me spanners/sockets.
Shes slowly distanced herself from the raving/clubbing, but she still enjoys coming out occasionaly with me.

She makes an effort, but it's only the stuff that we go out to do (I've been to more concerts since I met her than I probably had in the previous 23 years of life). My own personal at home hobby stuff is what is getting the shaft; I've only fired up a sim once in the last 4 or 5 months probably. Not that I'm a recluse who needs his video games, but damnit I love driving vintage formula cars around a wet Spa (and into the trees, when appropriate).

She's a sweetheart though.
