Quote from Becky Rose :U20 Compatability: Tested and all seems OK at first glance, nothing in Scawen's notes suggests any reason for incompatability.

hmm...

That´s what I´ve done:
fired up Companion, started lfs (u20), typed in "/insim 49999" ...nothing happend. No insim/outsim established or init (no lfs-message after cmd)...

I´m pretty sure the mistake is on my side...
The only difference being I put my /insim=49999 in the shortcut properties I click when I launch LFS - but that should not make a difference unless the /insim command is broken in U20 - which I doubt. Neither LFSC or LFS have changes their communications since U19, it could be a fresh firewall issue though (new exe needing new privaleges on a software firewall, try launching LFS in windowed mode), or perhaps something wrong with your LFS install folder.
The new download link for the latest version won't work.... please could someone e-mail it to me, upload it somewhere else or something

First to do so gets 15 crazy bananas
There are loads of mirrors already listed on the front page, plus the full thing hosted at LFS Downloads. This thing has more mirrors than Snow Whites step mum
sooo, 1.st of all i love your thing beckyrose... 2nd my minor improvement suggestions:

1 background-noise of the pitcrew is too loud. the game already has a lot of noise, so the voice can be clearer (i will do this on my own probably in german)

2 i got an error like: early sending ISI Packets or something like that when using together with pitspotter. the spotter does not even work.

3 a base stylesheed for the html files would be fine, so we can edit the look of this thing. this has to be part of the config or an extra html-config file.

4 a selection dropdown for geting the radio messages of a specific car on the server not the auto thing....

5 the initial (BEEEP BOOP) sound of the pitcrew is pretty annoying. probably i will change this too

6 a dropdown for different pitcrews to select

7 in my opinion the guy repeats the messages too often, sometimes like 3 or 4 times: "the guy in front of you is a lapper, the guy in front of you is a lapper, the guy in front of you is a lapper, the guy in front of you is a lapper..." i think if the voice is clearer it is enough to have this just once or twice.

8 a repeat button, if you did not understand the last message, you can force to repeat the last message

9 found a bug: when you drive a race, and a driver times out from the server or disconnects, and re-joines afterwards, there are two different cars in the html statistics... and laps got confused a bit in the end. i got +1 laps allthough i was 2nd to the leader in the same lap...

10 auot-compile-checkbox: this checkbox compiles in steady intervals (e.g. 1min., 1 lap,...) so we can just put this thing on a webserver (on the drivers machine) and have people not on the game-server have real LIVE STATS! AWWWWSOOOOOOMEEEEE!

11 a shit load of naked ladies should dance the "hula hula" in front of the car when you win a race, this does not happen. why? ) jk

three thumbs up! (don't even think about it)

good work, keep it up! (btw. if you need a logo for this, ask me) 8)
One more request:
average laptime without first lap in the statistics tool...
I get a "memory access violation" as I load the application, I am running winxp 64 bit dont know if thats the cause or not.
Problem solved.

After a clean LFSu20/eyecandy/Companion-install everything is working fine now.

Don´t ask me what was wrong the last days, I have no idea...
I have problems with showing the Race Statistics it always stop at Lap 105 but the Race was an 150 Lap race can someone tell me how to fix this ?
Why is the counter limited to 105 Laps ?
vers. 0.41A

Greets (FM) Dr.Bleifuss
just a "vermutung" did you crash in lap 105? and btw, WHAT F**** 150 LAPER WAS IT?????:eek::eek::eek::eek:

AND WHY WASN'T I TOLD??
Hmmm not sure if anyone wants a different theme, but here is a blue version of my previous "redish theme" I posted earlier:

For those blue nuts :o (Preview shows 0.3 version, works fine on recent versions)

Very soon (when the STCC video is finished) I will start work on this again, i'm going to clean up the statistics which has a few minor bugs and add a few new live timing features (one for the 360 series, and one for the STCC), and do a general bug hunt.

Then I will be adding the surround sound system. One of the main things I want to add is crown noise, does anyone have some good .wav sound samples of crowds please? I'll do a proper hunt over the net at the time but if anyone already has some good sound effects that'd be great.
Good news Becky

Plz don´t forget to fix the "black screen on task switch"-problem

This weekend I`ll ask a friend for crowdnoises. He has a few DVD-recordings in surround from soccerworldcup ´06.
I need to do some learning to solve that so it wont be the first thing on the fix list, for the moment if you need to access LFSC after starting LFS you have no choice but to run it in maximised windowed mode so the LFSC screen never goes blank.
Oh the samples must loop neetly btw, else it's going to sound a righ mare :/

I'd like to have different 'quantity' of crowd too, a full stadium cheer would be great when passing a grandstand, but when passing under the multistory car park at South City Sprint 1 a smaller clapping sound would be better.

No i dont had a crash , it was an Oval Race at the Eagles Server (read at the Eagles Forum " target="_blank">http://eagle.thenz.org/viewtopic.php?t=97 )
The prog always stop at Lap 105

Digging out Tiger Woods 05 and FIFA06 again. There are nice clapping sounds and lots of "OoOH´s" and "AaAH´s" in. Maybe they fit your taste...
Sounds good Void My email addy is yourname and than there's one of those @ signs followed by banshee studios which is a dot com .

The lap count isn't a reason for the program to stop, there must be some kind of rogue insim data packet going on at that point in the race, can you email me the replay please and I will try to uncover what is going wrong.

Thanks.
Thanks from me for this great tool. Very good work, its nice to see cool stuff like this keeping the LFS community and game alive.
The oval race worked fine for me, my version here is 'slightly' more evolved but I didn't think i'd stomped any bugs that would make it bail. The only real difference was that I ran it in debug mode to trap the lap 105 error, i'll try again in normal mode (although wont be able to see what is wrong) just to be sure.

I note that a player goes LD and rejoins around that point in the race so that might be related to why it bailed.

Anyway as you are having trouble I have attached the stats download to this message .

Actually it occurs to me, what replay speed are you using? If it's high and you dont have much RAM it could be that the que of radio messages has got really long - perhaps if you turn the radio off it might work?

EDIT: Tested up to lap 108 in normal .exe mode and it was fine. Although the laps to go messages seemed to home in on lap 105 which was strange.
First off, fantastic job so far, Becky. A great tool. I have been away from the forums for a few months and I come back to see this .

I forget about the "accent" difference between the US and the UK, so it came as a little bit of a shock when I first heard it, LOL.

I'm confused on how to get both Pitspotter and Companion working together. I can get one or the other working, but not both. I have even gotten it to lock LFS to where I had to "end task" it. Anyway's, I've read through 11 pages of posts off and on and I'm sure it was told how to get both to work, but now I'll have to reread everything to find it again. Could someone possibly just toss a note here and let me know how to get them both working at the same time? I'd appreciate it.

I also couldn't get Momoled program to work with it also. I don't really understand all this insim port stuff.

Thanks much and fantastic program. Keep up the good work.

PS. You guys who have raced with Papy's NR2003 I'm sure know all about David Hoffman's Jimmy Johnson spotter sounds. I have replaced all my sounds in LFS Pitspotter with some selected from the JJSpotter sounds for NR2003. His latest installment was 540 sound files, so there are plenty to find that work well with pitspotter. So, I'm also going through them to see if I could use them with Companion. If I find enough sound files for both of these LFS add-on's, I may try to contact David Hoffman about permission to compress them in a zip and post it. Would be cool for us guys over here in the US so the Companion "voice" doesn't startle you, LOL. Not to mention, with Pitspotter, the Daryl Waltrip sounds are just horrible.
