YES YES YES
Quote from tristancliffe :My Dad picked up his new toy yesterday. A 1964 TVR Griffith, with 4.7 Small Block Ford V8. We're not sure of it's exact state of tune yet (apart from the fact it's got straight trough pipes!), but I reckon 300hp is getting there. Maybe 320.

It's certainly quick - I had a little drive in it, and barely used half throttle (in a village) - I don't think I've gone past the village church that fast before!!!

I know it smokes a little, but we think one of the piston rings is a bit stuck. It'll probably free off in a few heat cycles, but my Dad wants to give it a bit of a checkover anyway. And fit silencers, cos it's not going to pass an MOT like that.

The camera does a poor job of picking the sound up, but I can tell you it's pretty deafening at 2000rpm :/

The zip file contains a little wmv file of it.

Mods - any chance of allowing wmv's to be posted directly?

Well u could just use MORE bitrate for the sound and a bit more on the resolution and 4 times more on the video-bitrate.
but the shaking when the engine revvd up was done by you, be honest.
and YES liked the sound...
Just saw this and wanted to comment on it:

Quote from Tristan Cliffe :
If you are going to own a Porsche, you might as well do it properly and get the one with a bit of soul (not much, cos it's German and they engineer the soul out of cars).

There is more than a little truth in that, but definetely not for Porsche (okay, the Boxster IS a tad bit dull), end especially not for the 911's from the mid-1990's. Sadly enough, I've only been a passenger in one so far, but, hey, have you ever even heard one?
Ooh, nice! A Cooper S! My dad drives this

Quote from Kostek :Here's mine "beauty" - 1995 FSO Polonez Caro, 1.6litre, ~80HP. Not much maybe - it's very raw, crude, loud, incomfortable, it does not support driver in any way, but i like it Like a tank

@DeeS

O yeah the Caprice gets 16 mpg city and 26 mpg hiway.
Fast I ever went in it was 130 mph from what a GPS said since the speedometer only goes up to 85 mph. 0-60 in 6.5 (if you play with the gas to get it not to shift in to second gear. 70 foot burnout (longest one yet) fastest 1/4 mile was in the 15.900 range but i wasnt driving it.

But yeah they float over pot holes and you sit in them nice. Also in a Car accident you walk away since its a BOF and not a Unibody to crush around you.

140 on the clock doesn't mean 140 true speed

@whitey6272: Surely the VTS has a rev limiter, and even so, how did you manage to bend the valves?
The cam belt snappedillepall

You should have got a VTS mate, much quicker hehe
Nice cars their Harry
Quote from Michel 4AGE :Yo Tristan stop bashing hatchbacks and go take a drive in , for example, a Type-R, Focus RS or the new Golf GTi. You'll be suprised!
