Wow!


I knew Westhill was getting an upgrade, but this blew my mind. Didn`t know the update would be this big. Cool feeling driving around the track and even in the little wood in the middle. Love it!

Now i just need a wheel and time to play again.

I just got it to work now after a lot of searching.

Turns out I had to install some old drivers, or else the checkbox just didnt show up. Couldnt even use the Clutch without the old driver.

Thought about starting up again with some LFSing again and bought a G27.

Its used but in good condition, it shows up in windows and it turns around just fine. But I just cant get it to show up in Logitech Gaming Software, so I cant calibrate it properly.

In LFS for instance, the brake and accelerator is put on the same axis. Which obviously is a "tad" irritating.

Does anyone know a workaround this problem?

I would gladly take a map pack for lets say, £6. Two/three new tracks with various combos and variations.
That wouldnt require a whole revamp of the simulator (less work), but still adding more quality content and generate both income and activity.

I would think ALOT of people would buy a little map pack if it were available.

Guess it It`l be G27 unless theres something better at a similar price.

Been holding on to my G27 for a while in hope for Scirocco, physics and Rockingham. No information, several years has gone since it was announced that the patch was soon to come.

We are pleased to announce that we plan to release the new VW Scirocco in Live for Speed during the week ending Friday 19th December.


Some days later we got news that the patch has gotten postponed, fair enough.
"We plan to fix the bugs and continue developing the Scirocco suspension and electronic control systems, to give you a good patch early in 2009."

Now we're soon in February 2013 and not much has happened.

Yesterday I sold my G27, don't want to wait any longer.
Although LFS always will have a special place in my heart, I've got to say that the developers are slowly putting the game to its grave.

I agree.

Although I don't play actively anymore, this is a game I really care for, of its one game that I want to succeed its this. I still check out the forum for news about twice a week, and have done that since summer 2007.

I really do care about this game, thats why it makes me so sad to see the direction it has taken the last two/three years. Back in the days we could get progressreports, not very often, but atleast sometimes between the big patches that told us ca how long it was left before release and what was actually being done. I really enjoyed reading those reports.

I hope 2011 is gonna be a comeback year for LFS with release of Scirocco and Rockingham, because my new G27 is on its way to Norway from the Netherlands.

Grippy tires indeed, maybe too much, specially when you know that there are two tires that are even better (medium and soft).

The only "aid" I was using was ABS on 1. Which most cars have these days.

Gotta admit that I didn't have my hopes high for the game because I've never liked the other GT games. But this is actually really good, specially with a wheel of course.

I miss alot of people, too many to write them all up. But I miss my LFS-addiction the most. Never really recovered from summer 2007, and sadly I haven't seen that much development on the game in these three years.

Was going to select the Even longer option. But then I realised this thread is over 2 years old ...
