Well, I believe one of the important matters with forced cockpit" is that we have to decide a defination about where the view should be i cockpit view.
Should the view be where the eyes are in the real world?
I don't believe so because when you are driving in the real world you are so focused on whats going on outside that you normally doesn't even see the steeringwheel unless you focus on it.
You should be able to join a "forced cockpit view" server as long as you have your view inside the car and on the drivers side. Then its up to each individual to decide where he/she whats the view. If they want it right above the steeringwheel, or at the current cockpit view setting.
Thats my opinion.
I didn't say that cockpitview isn't realistic, I meant that there are other cockpit views than the current one that are better and more realistic.
Because in the current one you got your steeringwheel on your desk, and then you sit in a position in the car that you get another steeringwheel in front of you.
When I drive a car and consentrate on my driving (IRL) I don't even see the steeringwheel in front of me because of my focus on whats going on outside.
I think it would have been more realistic if the view in the game were set up right above the steeringwheel or on the dashboard.
Or atleast so that everyone could ajust "cockpit view" a little bit to their own likings.
And don't give me that "well, you can see the steeringwheel in real life". Thats not the point, in real life I allso got over 180degrees of view to the sides without moving my head. I can't get that in any game without investing loads of money, and therefore I mean that the game must compensate on that in one way or another.
The clutch in LFS works good under race conditions, but as soon you do some heavy testing its broken. I tried to spin the wheels in the UF1 a little bit, and imo the clutch heated waaay to fast.
Its kinda funny. You just bought an expensive steering wheel to enjoy a demo, but can't afford £24? Or even £12 for S1 where you get XRT and loads of other cars and tracks.
Well, I don't feel bad for you.
Enjoy the demo meanwhile and save some money.
My old trusted Driving force pro is getting old and I want something new.
One of the reasons I'm getting rid of the DFP is that it makes so damn much noise when I'm steering.
Sooo, I'm wondering how much noise G25 makes in comparison to DFP.
Anyone in here knows? This is important because the person that I'm sharing the student appartment with doesn't like the sound that the steering wheel makes.
Excactly. Thats why they change the game like this.
If the devs wanted to make money they would make a NFS lookalike with guns attached to the cars, THAT would draw the masses. This is a game for the small masses who want some kind of "extreme" realism.
I like that the game is getting more realistic, but I don't think we should make ut über realistic, like taking away the virtual mirror in the cars. Since it's impossible to have the same feeling and avarenes in LFS as in real life some things should not be removed or altered too much with in my opinion.
Though I am happy with everything in the new patch so far.
Great, I love people that listen to 2 seconds of a song and then decide that its crap and never listen to it again. I love them, they are so cute with their ignorance.
