There are tons of people who joined before 2004! I tried the demo in 2003 and bought it shortly after that. August 2003 says my join date. Guess that's about correct.

If it's the DIN you were wondering about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIN_plug

I can't remeber how many pins it was and no idea about how they're connected. But i suspect it wouldn't be hard to rewire to a telephone plug.

Just got a Gameport FF version of Microsoft wheel/pedals and that uses a DIN connector for the pedals if i'm not mistaken. Just a heads up.

Right click and 'save as' ToddSim13a.wmv.

Forgive the horrendous graphics, but I've got to say the lack of g-forces in LFS is probably not at all to blame for what the OP is talking about. This vid is from my sim with a 3500 lb car and 350 HP running on tires that, get this, only pull about 0.93-0.95g on the skidpad. That's about 15-20% less grip than the LFS street tires, isn't it? And there's no downforce here at all to help things out. None.

You'll have to take into account that that road is as smooth as a babys bottom. No bumps in sight. That might account for a bit of the extra grip.

I'm not saying LFS has it right, because it doesn't. Just pointing out a detail.

Great work!

A nice breakdown race by race wouldn've been sweet, but i won't complain about this either.

I'd like to point out that it's not THE Vesa (me :razz for anyone reading this thread even though he does hold the same name.

When i had this the culprit was Asus temperature monitor. Anyways, if you have some kind of process that monitors cpu/gpu/your socks temperatures try disabling that.

Quote from al heeley :Radio interview the other week with some woman talking about bird flu.
"Well i won't be eating any more eggs" she says.
"You can't be too careful, and I've my grandson to think of."

WTF?!
Ignorance is not always bliss.

Aye, but if you didn't even know about bird flu then you'd be happy. Right?

Quote from nikimere :i dont think a mobile phone processor could hack all that work, would be nice though

Sure it can, if it's a smartphone

Anyways, if you're going to use flash, that costs to distribute per phone does it not? Anyways, depending on what exactly you'll be wanting to do either j2me (java) or then symbian c++ would be the way to reach most targets.

If you're going symbian, feel free to join #symbian on freenode. Lots of professional symbian programmers there as the current forums tend to fill up with 'Lol plz help needing righ now!' -people.

Hi,

Team Finnmotion just popping round to say hello. Mostly it's just been me racing LFS but atleast Markus has shown some more interest lately. We're still more active in F1C / GTR still but i'll bring the other two around

Members:

Vesa Hyppönen (Vesa)
Markus Könönen (Maatu79)
Mikko Saren (M. Saren)

No team homepage at the moment, but feel free to browse our (a bit outdated) pedal site.

It's the quote button that's gone wrong, probably some firefox cache mixup or something.

Used to have same issues with my precision wheel. I've got the FF version now and it's starting to have issues aswell. This time it's the paddle being stuck for ~2 seconds causing revs to go wild while changing up. Annoying, but probably fixable by opening the casing and squirting some lubricant up there somewhere

Quote from branney :Are you serious about that, because I hope somebody is! I would sign up straight away!

If no-one else wants to do it, maybe I will organise if enough people are interested?

Yes i'm serious. Haven't got time or resources to put up a league myself, but i'd definately be interested.

Seems that the goold ol' AMD 2500+ is a good one to overclock. I've been running mine at 3000+ (no balls to take it higher, no need yet either) with no problems in LFS. Although i did buy a new case.

So if you do overclock, keep things cool.

Quote from Batterypark :Really? I thought it would just need a flare for each light.

Last time i checked, atleast geforce 4 cards could only support 7 "proper" lightsources at a time. And that is *slow*.

Glad this re-surfaced as i hadn't even heard of it until today.

Looks like i'll be leading Finland to the certain victory.

I'd say not a limitation to joining, but having the pit lights as red (when we get pit lights).

Would also be sweet to hold a factory league with everyone having to drive the same car/setup. Was just thinking today if this has been mentioned. Obviously has on many occasions.

Excellent idea, definately good for leagues.

Good points all round. Server side option sounds like the best option for leagues to configure it like they want it.

Aye, that sounds good. Glad i'm not the only one who thinks this would be nice
