I meant the minimum requirements^^. I kind of doubt you have to upgrade your system to hit that
The minimum requirements will keep kind of constant while the recommended requirements will rise together with the new generations of (PC) hardware. Just look at the minimum requirements for modern games like Battlefield 4 if you look for example at the minimum specs for the graphics card you will notice the geforce 8800. And you see this card a LOT in "last-gen" console ports recommendations. The simple answer to that is if you look deeper the Geforce 8800 was in the first generation that was ahead of "last gen" graphics performance.
Do you need to buy a new PC every year? No! It just needs to be better than the weakest part of the link which again and again are consoles. (However if you really always want the maximum performance, you obviously have to)
He makes a fair point. In the internet people love to either hype something to the stars and beyond or curse something to death. Best example will be the "next gen" consoles, where the PS4/ Sony is like THE company and only cares about Gamers, while xbone/Microsoft is THE evil that only cares about money. I got news: both systems are pretty damn equal and both companies have the one simple goal: To maximize their profits . For someone that plays a lot of games, a PC will in the long run simply be better and cheaper
I bet, that after a couple of weeks after the release and the hype went down complains along the lines of: "when I'm not controlling the character, he doesn't find proper cover and constantly dyes. Then I have to restart the damn mission" will start.
Nobodey said the game sucks. We are just saying... Keep it real. It will be a nice game, but it's not like "The perfect game". And to be honest. The point of buying a "this gen" console like a month before the release of the next one to play ONE game (where not a single proper review or a proper gameplay (longer than 2 second snippets) is showed) is beyond me (especially since I again can bet that it will not only come on this gen). But each to his own.
Edit: and yeah as soon as someone says something that is not positive he is automatically a hater. This is also the typical response.
IMO it had one of the most fun arcade physics I ever played. If remember correctly, those physics where extremely predictable. At least I can remember that I absolutely loved the evo. You could race it properly or drift it pinpoint accurate. Other things like the comments of other annoyed as hell, but the physics where awesome!
Actually I take the 9600GT thing back, because they probably drop the current gen consoles and Ian said that if they get dropped, DX9 also most probably gets dropped.
I am just not sure if it's better to drop the current gen consoles or not. I would prefer to invest more and get a piece of the 140 mil consoles rather than the new ones flopping and less sails.... Well let's see at E3 what the internet thinks of them
Then again, I think I have never ever used "Luftkissenfahrzeug". Also Science is "Wissenschaft". Germans tend to divide it into "genres".
So, while in English you usually would just say "I like science", in German you would say something like " I like nature-science" or maybe "I like social-science" because those are different topics
And could anyone tell me in which culture the appearance of spiders is funny?
Oh lol, just have seen that pCars will also come for the "next gen" consoles. Also a new fund will be opened for those (also the game release is scheduled back to work with console releases)
Nothing, people that "moaned" too much got refunded till day one, this is just the official offer. Actually, this is good, because it wasn't really sure, what the FSA would decide. Now it is at least official, that everything will run just normal. The changes will be made in the next project.
Both are prittey much garbage... Yeah they show a lot of BOOM but ewww... there is nothing more to it. I liked MW1 nice setting nice execution. I like BC1 because it was more consistent. It didn't take itself serious. All new ones are like: "War is shit" right after telling: "War is AWESOME!!!oneoneone"
But every newer campain is: meh leave the space for MP (or skip one or two and produce something worth buying)
Look at that: BF4 will be EXACTLY like BF3: Like 5 maps to start with. One an prittey much exact metro copy with french trains replaced with chinese trains. OMG so new
First DLC, B2K anyone? (Ignoring the fact that you could play those maps 10 years ago and can buy these now for 2€ with more maps, mod support, and most probably more servers in a year than BF3 will have in a year.)
And yeah, the will provide patches to game breaking bugs.... every 6 month because they wait for the DLC releases
No, great games don't have to look awesome (Minecraft anyone?) so even when I say PC games could look so much better, I can't blame consoles for bad games. Look what BF4 is going to be... a handful of maps (where they are all almost exact copies of BF3. For example there will be a Metro-ish map and the first DLC will be very similar to B2K so were did the $900 Million(!!!!! Not even including DLC's etc !!!!!!) go?!)
Making a living you say... I call making a living something I have to do in order to survive the next month or two. If I have SEVERAL franchises that make OVER A BILLION $ a year, I would say that EA etc. is as far from being poor as I am from buying VW with all it's daughter company's.
The main issues is money though, with the stupid idea that you HAVE to make more win than you did last year. Which is stupid and ridiculously impossible. This results in something like "we have to make it so accessible, that even your dog can play it". Here is a enemy! I marked it for you with a giant triangle above his head! What are you doing?! You are not allowed to go here! That way is only there so that the next script can be activated the next second This and This show it in a nutshell.
Games, where you have to turn on your brain to beat it or simply require some skill are not wanted. It all has to be aimed at everyone and everything, no mod support so that everone has to buy your great dlc stuff. Dedicated servers? No why?! Less profit and oh, the game is already a year old... let's close our servers so that you can't play anymore and bu our next great game.
If they actually try to make a great game, why would they take out every wonderful part and replace it with crap (literally in case of SC5 :razz
Am I the only one that ATM has really trouble to find a lot of fun in gaming? I rarely buy games, because the main focus of pretty much every single game is to make the most profit possible, to make a awesome game seems to be prittey much one of the least important things (who would buy the followup game the next year?!)
From the main publishers, I prittey much only love valve. 1 They show love for linux (A massive from me) 2 When they release a game, it is at least great (IMO) 3 DLC? shure you can have it for free (Not all DLC's have to be free, but at least make the pricing anywhere close to reasonable. Most of the production cost is writing the core stuff like MP coding, balancing, optimising etc etc. But for some wired reason, the content in DLC's is usually like 3-10 times more expensive then the stuff in the core game).
Back some many years ago, people tried to make great games, taking PC's to the max and put effort into stuff. Now the budgets are like 100 times bigger, but you get 99% games that you can easily finish in a day. (and usually are HEAVILY similar to other games. No you don't need to reinvent the wheel, but at least TRY to make something better/different to other games)
Android 4.0, 512 mb ram, Gps, micro sd support. And some other source said 800 mhz procesor.
With those specs, I would say the price is exeptable. (However acording to amazon the Xperia E has a faster dual core processor and should be a tad cheaper). You defenitely should check the different versions a bit
Edit:Sorry forget it, but check the other versions^^
It's the same question as always... PC or console, phone or tablet, TV or Beamer...
It all depends on what you do and why you need it. For me, I would recommend a tablet for people that don't need processing power and want to go online here and there. If you travel a lot and want to have some power to play some hd games, why not a laptop?
For me a Smartphone wins hands down. I primarily have a smartphone to listen to music, while being available on phone and getting e-mails without checking them at the pc (however I answer them at home at my pc). Since I don't need any processing power, I usually buy cheap 150€ phones from china with new a android os and something like a 1 ghz dual core processor. If they break after a year, well then I buy another one for 150€. I don't get working colleges that love nothing more then spending >800€ for a new iPhone every year. (Also I always try to travel as light as possible, If it doesn't fit into the pocked and isn't really necessary, it's useless)
Think about what you expect from the phone/tablet and a tablet really is just a phone, that can't make calls with a bigger screen. If you have a PC and use it for internet, usually the phone would be the better option.
When did I say it's a failure, when did I say it will be awesome super best ever?!
I say: If I look back a year, then I see, wow a LOT has been done and improved and what not. I mean alone the comparison between BTM and STM is a day and night difference. I don't say it's terrible, I don't say it's absolutely über awesome in every situation, but just like every single other sims on this planet it has parts it shines at, and it has parts that don't need to be commented on. I will make a solid statement when it's anywhere close to finished....
Will I buy it when it comes out? Yes. Already because I absolutely LOVE the way it's developed, a AAA title without 08/15 publisher, seeing stuff, that you usually wouldn't, developers giving quite detailed information about what they did to fix stuff etc. You make a suggestion and see how it get's debated and how it makes it's way into the game, I absolutely love that stuff
This is an entirely different car. (Which will come later though)
Do yourself a favor and look at pCARS when it's DONE.
And when will you guys learn, that the ones doing 3D stuff and the one doing physics coding, GUI coding or rendering coding are ENTIRELY different persons (often even living on other sides of the planet). So yeah, they CAN work on physics while adding 3D content without hindering each other. It's not like one guy sitting there doing everything
It's so useless to argue with you guys, I'm out...
Edit: actually I don't even get the fanboy part. In this thread, I see not a single post of "ZOMG ITS THE BEST SIM EVAAAA!!!!oneoneone". I see a couple of guys saying: It goes into the right direction and guys saying: "ZOMG sucks..." "why?" "ZOMG sucks..." -.- (obviously exaggerated)
As far as I know the physic code was never the same and you can be sure that the STM model is made from scratch, multiplayer code is made from scratch, tons of lightning code changes. The only thing that reminds me of shift, is visual stuff like awkwardly "boogie dancing" mirrors, font, random and UI.
But yeah... haters gonna hate
And yeah, RUF on PLACEHOLDER PHYSICS(But you guys will ignore that anyways)
But yeah, STM comes out, car feels just great... don't play for two month, suddenly massive understeer like in BTM etc. etc. guess that's called development
I hope we see the driving school added sometime soonish, then MAYBE I will finally get a glimps of what to do with all those sliders to do tell the car what I would like it to
(Also the way way graphical bugs are fixed ATM I have never ever experienced in any form what so ever before! Some bugs get reported and half an hour later Martin comes with.. "oh yeah that was easy... fixed", then if possible not even going the normal way via official patch, etc. Quite often the bugs are fixed before even appearing in the first post (And even that was opened at the beginning of this month and has almost half of the bugs already fixed plus the ones that got fixed before even being able to appear in there o.O)
lol? How many drivers sit on the hood to drive? The roof is the same as the hood just being higher and somewhat above the driver. On a single monitor it gives you the chance to see what is slightly beside you, which is very important. Also I've never see a "hood cam" in a singleseater. The cam is almost always behind the wheel, above the driver or behind the vehicle. What's the difference when using a road car?
