I'm guessing you are using mouse and keyboard? the developer Rob is aware of this issue, currently some of the features of this addon do not work other than Wheel controls

Not necessarily a gear, but an animation involving the bike and maybe the pilot moving backwards

I think they use blender to put objects over a picture of the track, but I'm not sure
Map preview

Be able to see map preview of layout object track, just like when you click on a track it will show the circuits' diagrams, since the layout map is available when spawned it, I imagine you can also have the map preview available before spawn

To use the mods offline, I don't know if this is the intended way of doing it, but in the loading screen when you have selected the track, you have the ability to save or load a grid, which includes the setup, skin and car last used when this grid was saved. I have over 400 mods that I have saved as a grid, and even if some of them are removed from the active mod list, I can still access them in single player

Quote from SKT-RAIGS :Hi subUwU, I think I understand what you mean… the thing is, there is a limit...

I see and that’s completely understandable it’s just lfs is yet to have a modern f1 car not Merc based, and I know I am asking for a lot, but theoretically couldn’t you create a separate mod and completely remodel the wheel? This is just suggestions I am not demanding anything just trying to learn the topic Smile

Hello Smile I haven't been able to play LFS for the past months and came back today and noticed the epic addition of new liveries, however this is an issue that has bugged me with all the F1 cars in the game ;-; incorrect steering wheels, I understand that the car was designed to resemble the mercedes, but as far as i know (i don't know a lot about programming) you are able to create separate custom models on the same vehicle like it has the option of halo or no halo. Depending on the difficulty of this request, is it possible to have matching steering wheels with the liveries? thank you and love the work Smile
When/if we get a track editor

So as previously discussed, many of us have talked about track editing and asked the devs for this program, however, how would the features of this program be optimized?

1. Surface paint, to be able to paint different surfaces (eg. gravel, grass, dirt, snow)

2. as previously discussed and shown, buildings and trees, the ones that have already been designed and placed on most of the tracks which really adds life to these tracks

3. be able to change the angle of surfaces in a smooth way, instead of having to try and crowd flat surfaces at different angles to provide a smooth change. In a way that kind of makes it seem elastic

4. How would the AIs be able to race on these tracks? Somehow be able to determine boundaries of the track, and create a racing line for them (could be done by just doing laps or AI generating if the boundaries are well determined)

Thank you Smile
Joystick control axis
subUwU
S3 licensed
As some of you know, you can play LFS as joystick with mouse, meaning your brake and throttle are on the y axis and steering on the x axis. My request is to be able to assign only gas or brake as y axis and maintain the other as a button as if it were normal mouse controls. This helps mouse players with more powerful cars. Currently you are only able to do normal mouse controls or combined TH/BR

Thank you Smile

And thanks devs for the constant new patches Smile

Hello, keyboard right now is unable to auto brake, the system automatically and only assumes you’re using LMB and RMB for brake and throttle, also some features are unavailable for mouse and keyboard. There will be a new version in the future

mod request

Hello, I couldn't find the mods request thread, I don't know if it has been deleted or moved. Just really simple request, could anyone make the Lotus E20? I would love for it to have a detailed steering wheel, thank you

Quote from rane_nbg :Tnx for putting this together. I support suggestions 1 and 3.

Why not 8th gear? Would be really effective to increase the transmission. As well as open wheelers it can also be used for semis, which have a very large transmission

I disagree with the last points though, because you're essentially asking to turn LFS into an f1 game, at that point just buy the game, LFS is a simulator which can currently be used for all kinds of things, so it would be smarter to focus improvements on all aspects, that could also bait a larger community to play

please refer to previous posts, many times this has been suggested and currently the main focus is the next 2 major overhaul updates. With that noted, yes sounds can be improved, however if you take a look at the addons thread, there is a lot of engine sounds that you are able to download and load them on any vehicle through Shift + A in game,(If you wish to use it on default vehicles, they must be labeled as their name tag e.g. "BF1_[choice]")
The vehicles that have turbos installed, can be used to play around with the sound, and the dump valve of the turbo can make it sound like backfire, this is done by loading customized sound waves on each audio wave. other ways can offer a "hybrid sound" or a very rough sound. Air intake can be changed to make the car sound supercharged. There are a lot of ways sound can be customized Smile

If interested, I have many sound files I am happy to share and provide instructions on how to load each sound wave on to the game, so feel free to send a message Wink
Mod files revival

Just a quick question, as you all know, after some time, some mods disappear off the mod list, however in the LFS folder called "mods" all past mods including all past versions are available. In this particular case I was looking at an amazing mod that sadly was removed called Super GP, (I am not aware if it is the devs, a system, or the author taking the mods down) and I went into the folder and immediately found it. My question is, is it possible to somehow restore it to LFS? only for single-player use, I currently save mods for offline use through the "save grid", that way it automatically stores the car that can be used offline instead of downloading it again and again.

Test patches for new tracks
subUwU
S3 licensed
Hello fellow racers Smile
Like I've said before I am really curious to see the new updates for graphics overhaul, physics and new tracks, and I feel like I am a little repetitive, if so please do say so and I will settle down until they come out Smile
However my main question directed to the developers, will there be any test patches for the new updates? Or separate ones for each type of update?? Would love to hear more as well as the new tracks, really excited for the airport one, seems like a classic racetrack from a while back like Silverstone. And the older classis cars in LFS are perfect for a race there. Thank you Smile
Respect for our developers
subUwU

I recently went on the forum to check out new activities and was upset because of some particular threads that had disrespectful and hate comments towards the developers regarding development on the updates. Frown

Guys keep in mind that this game is two decades old, made by only three developers (that truly care about the platform unlike some other platforms that are made only for profit) and somehow this amazing game is still holding up to current games (except graphics which I know some major changes are on the way Wink).

I also noticed that many of the comments were made by Demo racers, who seem frustrated for the lack of content available, WELL MAYBE you should accept the fact that our Devs need some support for their amazing work which still developing.
Do not expect updates as fast as the F1 games that have a large staff that updated yearly. Remember <<<3 DEVELOPERS>>>
Some of you also criticize the devs because you believe not much development is occurring because of lack of posts and news, however you should roam the forum and website a bit and you may find a lot of work behind the scenes.

SO... REMEMBER.... to respect our beloved devs Thumbs upBig grin
Next big update?
subUwU
S3 licensed
AS you all know, our beloved three LFS developers have been hard at work created the new graphics and night overhaul and the physics model Big grin

So, my question is, what is the next goal?
Now I am not rushing, instead I am appreciating every part of the fact that this game is still being updated after 20 years Big grin. (although I think everyone can agree that it would be great to have some extra news on the coming overhauls, like just a few posts or even just screenshots Wink.

This is just a general questions for the developers to answer and for the community to react to:
Will it be dynamic weather (Rain, snow, water dynamics)? Custom map modding (terrain paint would be a great addition and vegetation)? better online support? Big (or small) changes to the damage model? New licensed vehicles or circuits?
Or maybe you want to settle down and work on something simpler Wink

What kind of team are you are you looking for: Race
Country: Residence = Australia, Born = Italy
Preferred Car/Track FBM/Grippy GT cars/Aston National
How active are you? Daily (often unable to do league events because of time zone)
What kind of control do you use: Mouse (soon steering wheel) good steering and grippy cars precision overall but bad drifting and inconsistent on faster cars
Time Zone: GMT+10

have separate button control rate for clutch, brake and accelerator, this can really help mouse and keyboard users

Sound waves
subUwU
S3 licensed
Hi, just wanted to ask, is there a forum where you can upload or download sound waves? I've recently been getting into sound editing and it is amazing, sound waves can basically customise every part of the car's sound structure which can make some pretty cool sound Wink. Essentially that's why I suggested in the suggestion forum add a way to share sounds a bit like "SS" or share setup. Thank you Smile
Editing Mods
subUwU
S3 licensed
Hello fellow racers Big grin
today I am suggesting something that I would love to have, as you all know you are not allowed to edit published vehicle mods without permission. However, I also know that some of us may want to change particular details of some mods, so my suggestion is to be able to fully edit and customise mods any way we want however they are only available in single player. Now this is a very complicated topic and I know it is unlikely for this to happen and files may be sent to other players and stuff, but essentially the only thing that is stopping full mods customisation is that when you try to edit and mod and save it, you need some dds files (i don't know much about files system or the editor) which you are unable to get other than from the publisher themselves. So that is my suggestion. I know it is very complicated and prob will not happen, but I hope something similar will be available in the future.
thank you Smile
