I've noticed a small bug when running westhill reverse. You have to do it in practice mode (only tested in single player, should work in multiplayer aswell for the first car) so it starts timing when you pass the start timing line. The problem is that you start too far forward. This makes you not pass the starting line on the first lap giving you one lap less.
How to fix: Either move the cars backwards or the line forwards. If you move the line forwards you have to make sure not to create the same problem when running non reverse.
Instead of removing everything but metric values like Shotglass suggested "just" add an option for choosing between metric/imperial (i have no idea if there even is something called imperial, it's just an example).
It is actually very simple. For the drivethrough exploit simply enter the pit-lane and go back out the entrance. You have now completed your drive through.
The same principle applies to pitstops and stop&go's, the difference is that you have to stop in a pit box and serve your penalty/fix your car.
This exploit is only really useable on track where the pitlane entrance is very close to the track. Like on westhill.
It might no be very practical and you would probably be banned if you were found using it but it is still an exploit.
Hello, i've discovered there is a tyre changing exploit. Here's how to replicate it.
1. Set tyre wear change to X%
2. Before pitting, change to another tyre type (make sure you have more than X% of your current tyres)
3. You should see setup changes being made however no tyre changing messages will show. You now have a set of new, cold, unworn tyres.
The "benefit" of this exploit is that the pitstop takes approx 9 seconds faster (3 seconds per tyre (12), 3 seconds setup changes). I agree that it might not be very beneficial seeing as the other set of tyres will probably be slower (ie r2 -> r3) but it is still an exploit.
There are also some other bugs regarding this. If you change tyre pressures/tyre types (F12 screen) and pit. Even if the tyres are changed due to being worn you still do setup changes you have no need for seeing as the tyres have already been replaced (with new pressures etc).

Everytime i upgrade LFS (The different P patches) my "Window while connecting" option gets set to yes. I think it happens even if you only exchange the lfs.exe file. This prolly isn't that big of a issue but it is annoying and probably a simple fix.
Well, first of all, i'm not sure there is a need for a safety car driver. It is very hard to crash your car so hard you can't continue. And if you can't continue you just shift+s or quit the race.
Secondly, most league admins prolly know someone they can trust. A safetycar driver doesn't have to be very fast.
Whenever you start LFS the last played track is automatically loaded during startup. LFS always hold one track in memory, this track is always the last one the game used, so if you watched a replay of a track that track is the loaded one. If you hotlapped on a track that track is the loaded one etc.
Regarding SATA: I would say go for a SATA disk. The ide cables are just so cumbersome. Plus harddrives can last 10 years if your lucky and i don't think a new 2015 motherboard will have IDE.
An option to make the car only change the rear/front tyres. For Fwd cars the front tyres are the ones that take the punishment. The same for the fzr but for the rears. I know u can "dial" this in with tyre wear percentage but it isn't always easy to know how much they are worn. That brings me to the point of showing percentage worn somewhere, like in F9 or F12.
1. Would be nice yes, Something like: this is the last full lap you can do on this track in this car with the fuel you have left. This would go by lap fuel usage.
2. Already possible, you can even turn it off, default key is I for Ignition.
3. Apparently this is patented afaik.
4. Already possible, you can change the options using the arrow keys. (Oh, you meant mapping F12 to another button? On my DFP i've mapped one button to cycle between nothing-F11-F12)
Incase it isnt the drivers it is very possible it is the CPU. As someone mentioned it could be that something is using much of the cpu power in the background. Try running ad-aware which is a spyware/adware removal program. http://www.download.com/Ad-Awa ... &subj=dl&tag=top5
Hello, i posted this over at the Race Sim Central forums when those were used but got no response, so i'll try again at these new forums.
The problem is that the Nation ranks are useless. They only show which country uploaded the most hotlaps and that is just the country which has the most racers. If you wanted to know which country had the most racers you would check out the statistics.
Imo they should only show the best time per country on each track with each car. In this way one country could only have 744 hotlaps and most and voila you know which country is the fastest based on hotlaps. Isn't showing which country is fastest what the nation ranking are for?
Thank you, hope to get some response this time.
PS. I know i talked a bit "aggresively" but that is only to catch your attention. DS.
I agree with Turbo Dad. I always run into trouble with overheating R2s, especially in shorter races. When there is little thread left the tyre cools much quicker this giving better grip when at optimum.
I have a dfp aswell altho its only a month old. My pedals are the B revision, do these suffer the same problem?
I've taken out one of the brake springs and removed the rubber stop for the brake pedal. It feels less annoying like this =)
