My LFS is set of S2 license, but only seem to be getting onto the demo servers.

I can't see where i'm going wrong?? The game says S2 License when it starts up, but only getting demo games?

Hi All.

Been away for a very long time, and just come back today. All i have noticed is how down hill LFS has gone. There are not so many races any more, or uses of all tracks.

I used to race on a FM server, and even that seams to have gone / no one in it.

Just wondered what everyone elses thoughts were?

I've just come back to it and agree.

The front wheel drive cars seam to grip well enough to turn, but cant get the power down.

I neither can put my finger on it, as its a weird one

Hi all.

Ive just started to use LFS again, but my DFP wheel seams to change up too many gears. For example, from the start line ill hit gear up (behind the wheel) get to the end of 1st, hit gear up again and be in either 3rd or 4th gear.

Now, this causes me two problems: Slower lap times, and people nearly hitting me because im too slow from certain bits of the track?

Any suggestions?

Ive also been banned from this server for no reason other than what i can see as being 3rd and english.

LFS has gone so disappointing since i used to race 4 years ago

I think it looks smarter than some of the other teams that are out there.

The cars this year look odd and wrong, a bit like GP2,

& that golf is the Golf 6, But only the 5.5 if that makes scense?

to me its very underpowered.

its a 2.0 TFSI Engine with 200 BHP. The Seat Cupra uses the same engine and has roughly 245bhp, and the S3 Uses again the same engine, with slightly stronger internals.

Its basically a golf GTI with other bits of car bolted on!

Im going to start trying to race again after a very long time out. Was quite dissapointed how BMW Sauber didnt have the LFS simulator at Silverstone over te gran prix weekend, so any ideas if it was at slverstone.

i got one called Xvga and its a belter. Got a switch to switch from pc and ps2, and also has a SVGA conector.! was only 50 quid

I use to have a little Geo Storm (any of you outside the US know that car? Hint- it is junk). But anyways, I had about $5000 in the sound system. All this driven with a little Kenwood KAC432 I think it was. Ran about 16 watts rms per channel (4 channel) and it Rocked! Later, I added a Denon 2 channel 50 watt per channel amp for the subs to get them separate from the rest. After 15 years, I still have both amps and the MBQuart drivers installed in my 5th vehicle now, a Toyota Tacoma ExtCab. The amps still rock, though I've cut down to a pair of 8 inch subs since my 12's were stolen along with a broken headunit a while back.

I type all this noting that I do not listen to rap. There is more to a sound system than beating out bass with a crappy rap cd. I would amaze others when I brought up Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon, or David Gilmore's guitar solo in Comfortably Numb. The bass in Pink Floyd music also will smoke any rap crap that they can come up with. Another good one would be YYZ drum solo from Rush. The double bass beat is simply awesome on a high end sound system.

Edit: I just reread your post. What is the subwoofer you got? Because, you can get a sub with an amp already with it. For example, a "bass tube" design like the Bazooka Tube (if they make them anymore). If this is the case, then you should be able to connect the subwoofer outputs from the headunit into it. They should be a patch cord not regular speaker wire.

Edit: I edit again as now I saw the link to the sub you got. That is what I am talking about in the first edit. It has a self contained amp and crossover, so, connect it to 12 volts, ground, and connect the subwoofer output fromt the radio into it. Then you are set. No need for a separate amp.

Right ok. But how will i connect the speaker wire from the amp, to my jacks from my head unit?

I have just bought a cd player (jvc kd-sc601) and bought a cheep subwoofer (8").

All i need to know is there a way to wire this to my head unit without an amp (as i cant really afford one) or not. The sub has an earth wire (2 wires i think) and 2 speaker wires.

All my head unit has is a sub out, 2 lines in, and the normal speaker ones (wired into a block)

Just wondering if any of you have played the Toca Race Driver 3 multiplayer demo.

Just had a quick go and wow . . . . what a heap of rubbish. Took me nearly 20 mins to go online, and i still had to create a game and race on my own. DFP felt Terrible, and the feedback did aswell.
