On pit entry, all wheels must be to the RIGHT of the blend line.
On pit exit, all wheels must be to the RIGHT of the blend line.
Safety Car
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 10 (where possible). It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.
Overtaking is not permitted on SC restarts until YOU have crossed the start-finish line.
Track Limits
Track limits are enforced via sausage! We will not be actively enforcing track limits at any part of the track.
Post Race Procedure
After finishing each race, the top 3 should stop in the runoff of turn 1 (drivers left) at the location shown in the photo below.
All other cars must go straight at turn 1 and enter parc ferme, do not continue around the circuit.
After all cars have finished, the race director will instruct the top 3 to make a U-turn and drive wrong direction to the podium shown on the track map. If you are out of power, rescue vehicles will push you there.
As we did last season, this season briefing will be in effect for the entirety of the season. Each round will still have a round specific driver briefing but this should be much smaller and will focus on the unique elements of that round.
All drivers are required to read all information below post a reply to this thread to confirm they have read and understood the information within. Failure to confirm this will result in you not being allowed on track for official sessions.
1. Communications
All drivers are required to be in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS.
If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one.
Make sure you have your race number is in your nickname on TeamSpeak, preferably at the start
2. Driver Naming
Be sure to be in your proper name format Number, [space], first initial, dot, last name [eg. 72 J.Provost].
The car number must be in white. Your name may be in colour.
3. Practice Starts
Drivers are permitted to take practice starts at the location notified in each round’s drivers briefing, any time the pit exit is open during free practice and qualifying. Drivers taking practice starts should wait for a clear path to take their practice start. Cars in the exit lane have right of way over cars preparing for a practice start.
4. Virtual Safety Car Test
Should time permit, there will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting approximately 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.
5. Car & Power Restriction
New for the 2025 season is the introduction of the AWD version of the E-Challenger EVO.
The following cars and restrictions will be in force for each session.
E-Challenger E-Challenger EVO AWD (MOD ID 942DC9) Only will be used for
Pre-Qualifying (if held)
Qualifying
Qualifying Duels
Sprint Race (14% Power Restriction to 301kW)
E-Challenger EVO (MOD ID 74E320) Only) will be used for
Feature Race (14% Power Restriction to 301kW)
6. Qualifying Procedure
Qualifying 1 will be a 10-minute session. Drivers are allowed a maximum of 2 hot laps and a maximum of 2 pit exits. Drivers can do their hot laps back-to-back. Once either 2 laps or 2 pit exits have been completed, that drivers qualifying is over. Telepit is allowed during qualifying 1.
Qualifying Duels
Top 8 drivers from qualifying 1 will be paired into groups of 2. Groups will be called into pit lane by the race director. Once released, groups will complete a out lap and one hot lap. After each driver completes their hot lap, they are to spectate.
Each group winner will advance to the semi-finals where the process repeats. This repeats down to the final with the final 2 drivers.
7. Race Start
Each race will have a grid presentation after the lights turn green. Once this presentation is finished, the start procedure will begin with the 5 second signal. Drivers are reminded to ensure their cars ‘ignition’ is on before the 5 second signal. (If the dash is illuminated, or the virtual gauges are displayed on screen, the ‘ignition’ is on)
An insim head-up display will appear, with five darkened lights. After 5 seconds, each light will illuminate red at one second intervals. After a pause of between 3 and 7 seconds, the lights will extinguish, and the race will be started.
8. Safety Car
If the safety car is deployed, bunch up quickly but safely behind the safety car.
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field at a point notified in that round’s drivers briefing (where possible). It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.
Overtaking is not permitted on SC restarts until YOU have crossed the start-finish line.
9. Virtual Safety Car
Drivers will get advanced warning of a VSC deployment, followed by a 5 second countdown.
That 5 second countdown is there to allow all drivers to observe their surrounds and slow down to VSC speed. Drivers must be AT or below VSC speed when ‘Virtual Safety Car Deployed’ is displayed on their screens. Local flags must be adhered to during the 5 second countdown.
10. Additional Laps Following SC/VSC
If the safety car or virtual safety car is deployed in a race, additional laps may be added using the following formulas:
First 2 laps under safety car, 1 additional lap.
For each additional lap under safety car +1 lap.
E.g. 4 Laps of SC = 3 additional laps
This formula will be used for each separate SC occurrence in its entirety. e.g. First SC 4 laps (3 laps added), second SC 5 laps (4 laps added), total of 7 laps added.
2 minutes of VSC = 1 additional lap.
Unlike usual safety car, this will accumulate across all VSC periods. E.g. VSC1 1 minute, nothing added, VSC2 2 minute, total of 3 mins under VSC = 2 laps added.
No extra laps will be added if the Safety Car/Virtual Safety Car is deployed within the last 5 laps of the race.
11. Weather:
Dynamic weather will be used in all sessions.
When track conditions state 'WET', only 'road' tires are permitted.
If the weather changes, all drivers not equipped with the permitted tyre compound must pit at the end of lap they are currently on, unless they are between the 'weather commit line' (triple blue line) and the finish line – in that case the rule must be met at the end of the following lap. This line is marked 'weather commit line' on the track map for each round.
12. Attack Mode:
During each reach, each driver is required to use ‘Attack Mode’ a set number of times as stated below. This is both a minimum AND maximum number of activations, all must be taken by all drivers.
The requirements above do not change regardless of the track/weather conditions
Attack mode will be disabled on the first two laps completed by the race leader.
It may NOT be activated during SC or VSC conditions.
If a SC or VSC is deployed during a driver’s activation, the timer will not be stopped on said activation.
Attack mode can be used during free practice but is disabled during all qualifying sessions.
13. End of Race
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed back to parc ferme which will be notified in the round’s drivers briefing. The top 3 shall report to the podium.
Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should join the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.
They will be in the NDR TeamSpeak. You are invited to be interviewed on stream during the breaks between sessions. Please follow their terms listed at https://simbroadcasts.tv/voice - we will apply those to our Commentary Box area.
15. Miscellany:
Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S from on course during the race without authorization from Race Control.
You do NOT need permission to retire once you are in the pit lane.
Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command. The command will tell the administration what location you're at.
If you suffer a lost connection or timeout from the server during the race, you are not permitted to rejoin the race.
Stop & Go penalties may ONLY be taken from the penalty box located at the location noted in the round’s drivers briefing.
16. Confirmation
All drivers are to reply in this thread in the format below to confirm they have read and understood the information in this post.
Use this format:
Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

I'm happy to commit for us to use it for E Challenge and then feed back.
That was a concern that it would loose the momentum as being less in your face about new posts on a forum thread. However it is something we can give a try and your suggestions of keep the thread going manually. It is just something to keep a eye on for and plan marketing around that fact.
Stuck in the old ways is hard to get out of agree, so willing to give it a go.
1. Ideally if it could be included by default. That way we have a standard country name etc so when we put it into our side we can easily translate it to flag images etc for tracker and so on.
2. No special format, just the first row of the CSV with the name of the field would be perfect. This just helps us import them into our spreadsheets and systems etc especially when different series have different columns/orders.
3. Agree. One I think we can see how it goes and report back following a season of using it
4. I think that would be in its simplest form yeah. Happy to see how it goes.
5. Maybe if a driver changes their entry (which is already approved), it can go to something like 'Approved - Changed' and then the admin can almost double approve. Agree getting complex though. Happy to see how we go as is for a first season and report back on that one too.
6. Yeah that works, that is how we do it now so saves complexity
7. Its not so much the notification of it but it saves admins having to chase people to change their number because they chose one which was already chosen. Nice to have, monitor manually for now as previous.
8. Okay
I said not all of them are holding us back. Probably worded incorrectly, apologise. These are suggestions that I noticed going through it and from experience what we receive via forum as you have asked for features which may help.
Notifications of changes to entries is one thing which may be more of an important thing for us but only time will tell. As I say happy to give it a go for a season and feed back.
Other features as mentioned are more nice to haves. I unfortunately have been extremely busy with real life things lately and last night was my only opportunity to look through it following a prompt from Pete and Maikl. I received a message asking if we can use the entry system this morning after I send my message here.
I've had a play with the new updates to leagues and there are a few features I'd like to see.
1. CSV agree Nationality would be nice there.
2. CSV also headers for columns would be a nice to have.
3. Ability for admins to edit a entry manually.
4. & 5. Notification to admins of any changes a drivers makes to their entry after it has been approved. Plus the ability to approve a change would be awesome!
6. Ability to temporarily close signups a certain time before a round and x time after a round completion. This may need to be a time stamp after event maybe?
7. Ability for car number to be tracked and not used more than once
8. Ability to reject a signup with a reason, giving the driver a chance to correct the details rather than going through the whole signup again.
CSV and skin pack updates are great!
I think they (not all of them) would be the only features holding us back from using it currently. Thanks!
