Worked on first try for me on my secondary monitor. I'll be keeping my eye on this one, as it's one of the things that I've wanted for LFS for a while.

From what I hear, most users get 3... I think I was one of the early ones so I had 5 (3 left). Signed up like last year I think...

Leifde/Wheel4hummer: just sent the invites

(1 left, lol)

Trade you my wheel for some cake. :cake: :yummy:

The funny thing is... on the second G25 that they sent me, the reverse on the shifter didn't even work out of the box. It was the exact same problem that my original one had. So I figured that I'd save myself the trouble and fix both of them myself. The PCB is like the simplest piece of board I've seen....just two straight leads from the reverse button to a connector that wires it to the rest of the shifter. I didn't even know that it was possible to screw up a circuit that simple.

edit: n/m, sent an invite over to the Live-for-Speed.de address in your profile. Enjoy.

Quote from EmilO :two G25s?

First one was the one that I bought. The reverse PCB under the stalk on the shifter was faulty, so I RMA'd it, and Logitech sent me an entire second G25.

For some reason they didn't ask for the original one back, so I fixed the shifter myself, and now I've got two working G25's.... keeping the second one in case I need spare parts.

Yep, low priority, but I'd love to wear one of those cheeky vintage helmets with the big-huge-goggles when I'm in the LX.
Password for stccu.ukct.net?

Refer to screenshot... a username/password prompt has been popping up for a large number of forum posts, asking for a username/password for stccu.ukct.net. It doesn't happen on every page though.

What's the deal? Is somebody using a protected file on their sig or something?

edit: n/m, there's like 4 other threads about this, heh.

new stuff:

print server (the jumble of wires in the middle of the rack)

P182B and Phantom 500W (courtesy of some Antec contest)

new guts for my old P180 (boxes on the rack explain the specs)

If I ever get the money, I'm gonna move everything into the P182B, and turn the old P180 into a dedicated LFS rig.

Quote from Jakg :that sound card is just silly, the X-Fi's are good, but i would go for the Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer, it's all of about £50, the sound quality is identical!

I'd suggest against the Xtremegamer/audio, since they're both the "crippled" versions of the X-Fi line. Get the XtremeMusic at the minimum, or get something else.

from Creative Forums:
Quote :X-Fi Xtreme Audio is a software based card with no hardware support for EAX. Is more like the Live!24bit or AudigySE/LS kind of cards, if not the SAME card having the firmware rewritten with the new name and ID string. The software provided is supporting Crystalizer and CMSS3D from X-Fi line of cards.

X-FI XtremeGamer
is a hardware based card but with NO support for EAX 5.0. Basically is a Audigy2 type of card with no extra connectors - exactly like the Audigy2SE or Audigy4 card (non-pro version). Of course again having the firmware rewritten with the new name and ID. Same support for Crystalizer (maybe at the software level) and CMSS3D.

Quote from U4IK ST8 :My first skin good enough to post in the forums. Well we'll see whether people like the look of it first.

Not bad...how about making one that looks like the Lancer in your avatar?

Quote from Stew2000 :yes it does work. with mine anyway.

Same here. Not a single hitch for me.

We should seriously see to get the g-meter integrated into LFS itself as an optional gauge... I think it makes a lot of sense.

Quote from compjake :Thats why you get 4 really really big wide screen LCD's and get a much better computer lol

It's a carPC, lol....not supposed to play games... just a simple little GPS/MP3/video machine.

That's how big the case is (the one to the left).... and the monitor is even smaller...

Quote from compjake :I think its funny how everyone has there computer LFS setups but what no one has mentioned to do get a car (working or not) and mount screens across all the windows and get a good computer to power them and mod the steering wheel, gears, and pedals and put in the computer versions. Now who doesn't agree that would be awesome? I would do it if i could lol

I'd stick my G25 in my car if I was bored enough....but the 7" screen and VIA mini-itx motherboard just don't exactly translate to LFS-goodness.

Quote from [RCG]Boosted :i would like to see that u can assign EVERY key to any key u want.
there are quite a few hardcoded keys id like to change.

Yeah for sure. Removing hardcoded keys in favor of programmable ones, and of course a "DEFAULT" button to revert everything back.

It's purrfect. I can edit stuff, but I'm no good at making from scratch... I've already tried the kits as well, it just didn't come out any good

Either way, the way you have it now looks perfect...and with any luck I can add whatever accents to it, and maybe even translate it to the other cars.

Well not for me, at least. I'm mostly after the unique white/brown paint scheme, which I don't really see on recent cars at all. The closest thing is the two-tone paintjobs that Lexus used to offer.

Haha thanks, but the thing is, I can do that myself (if you don't mind )... I just couldn't figure out how to get the outline or whatnot to fit the body.

It'd be awesome if you could add some "fake contour" to the line between the brown and white though...something like this:

As for the lighter brown, I was thinking something like R117/G83/B36 or R130/G97/B53.

Looks just fine to me... I'd personally tweak the shade of brown, but that's easy enough even enough for me.
