Not trying to be condescending or anything but sometimes the solution can be quite simple. Did you try to use the shifter instead of the paddles in the Lotus 49? When using a shifter AC reflects what type of shifting is used in real life so if the paddles are used in the real car, you'll use them on your wheel as well and vice versa.
If you don't want to use the shifter I believe you need to specifically select to use paddles instead/not use the H-shifter (can't remember the exact settings).
I've actually not had any issues setting my G25 up in AC and I've done it a couple of times as I've reinstalled my computer. I haven't noticed any issues except for the FFB tweaking which, as stated above, is a bit of a pain as you need to exit to the menus, make the changes, reload car and track etc. But when it's done, it's done

Too bad it's so unstable for me, since it's quite fun...
Why can't you guys just tell us? I really don't feel like going trough the game when I can't play more than around five minutes before it locks and needs to be restarted. And then I need to backup my savegame quite often because sometimes it wont start at all after it crashed (so I need to remove the savegame and take the backup files)...
Post reply - manage attachments (in additional options) - press browse and choose the file you wish to be uploaded - press ok - press upload - close that window and press submit reply.
You download the file (.set) and place it in setups. (It was settings before but that's been changed in patch Y to setups instead)
He meant the setupfield at team Inferno's site. It's where you find most of the good (mostly world record) setups. Now though, since patch Y was recently released, there aren't that much setups. But in time, there will be.

If you're going save that / still have the files, you should update it and edit the "is it eny good" to "is it any good" since that's how it's spelled.

If you press T ingame (chat button, if you've changed it..) and hold down ctrl, you will see some colors, over the colors some text (in my case, Latin 1) and next to the text there is a arrow down, there's some more characters you can use.

All setups needs to be placed in LFS\data\settings and named like this:
CAR_whatever you would like to call it.set
For example:
XR GT TURBO_Bosse drift.set

I dunno what you should do but that with the stars, some sites does like that and lfs.net is one of them. So that's normal (I guess, since it's the same for me)..
Try emailing the devs too (they've always awnser me very fast so..), lfs.net -> contact us down to the left..

Well, I didn't really say what I meant to, but it's different music and probably most here wont like it (I do! :P)..
And, once again, you can make very much smoke with normals too...

Well, you might just sit there all day talking like "according to THAT rule I don't have to move away" and so but it's just stupid? Pull over, lift of the throttle a little more than you would've done normally (on a straight, just pull to a side and lift off and in a corner, just take the outside line and lift off) and let him/her pass. Not hard at all?
The only time I don't let the person pass is if I know that I'm faster.. Then I can pull away forwards instead and loose the blue flag..
