Wow that replay brought back some memories, those were the days! I did quite some great leagues in that time but nothing could match the open wheel racing league and the original lfs league. Many thanks to Wouter''Krutch'' de Bruin and Mr. and Ms. Fiendi. Many happy memories!
If you read this i was racing under the name ''FiredUp''.
Van der Mark really impressed again today on his Honda, absolutely getting the last drop of performance out of that machine. He seems to be a match (if not better) for the world champion too, makes me wonder what he could do on a better bike, which is probably any bike out there..
Actually starting to enjoy bikeracing more than F1 tbh, Last weeks qualifing in MotoGP was more entertaining than most F1 races.
Finally a interesting press conference. Better than the race actually. Max was pretty good too! Renault should put some effort into improving the PU instead of talking how much they are gaining every GP.
It could get worse if Renault don't get their act together, RedBull might leave the sport completely. They can't affort to spend hundreds of millions and not get the results. They probably are hoping a manufacturer like BMW or Audi will want to step in F1.
Apparently they allready in talks to get rid of Toro Rosso.
Alonso to Mclaren Honda,
Vettel with Ferrari,
Kvyat to RedBull,
Than i assume Carlos Sainz gets the Torro Rosso drive? Imo he deserves it. Kinda shocked how little credit RedBull drivers have. 4 World titles don't outway a single disappointing season? Anyway with Kvyat they have a great replacement i'm sure. Would not be surprised if he could make it harder for Ricciardo next season, compared with how Vettel has done this season.
Fantastic! I remember Jos announced he became father, and i knew he was married to a woman who beat F1 drivers in karting. I thought if there is ever gonna be a natural gifted racer it will be Max. I followed him from young age, he excelled in karting, usually the young talents stay away from shifter karts but max did it and with succes, winning several titles. I think that final year in shifter karts helped him a lot to do the giant step to F3.
In f3 with a small team, he started the season clumsy with some silly mistakes. But now he is driving with so much speed and consideration(rain or dry), i have absolutely no doubt he will be succesfull in F1. Some people will say he is too young, but from what i've seen this season he is a very mature racer.
So it looks like the plane was mistaken for a military aircraft and shot down with a highly sophisticated "service to air" missile system provided to the separatists by russia. This could get a lot worse than it allready is. Strange feeling personally since i was working where the plane took off this afternoon. Deeply saddend for all the victims.
What if this plane was shot down by a russian missile? I don't believe Russia itself would shoot down a civil plane but what if they provided the weapon to the separatists. I'm sure the rest of the world won't be very pleased...
Apparently u need very sophisticated weapons to shoot down anything flying at that height, impossible for terrorists to obtain and operate such weapon.
I gues the problem with grass/dirt is the danger the driver loses the rear and spins backs into the track where he can be collected by other cars. But yea the current situation is not ideal, drivers should get punished for mistakes without making it dangerous. Hopefully they can find a better solution in the future.
I sure hope Bernie is not serious about dropping Monza, just his usual pressure to let the organisers spend some money perhaps?
I loved the BBC pre show with Lewis and DC going back to Lewis's old karting track where it all started. Nice to see his interaction with the kids too.
