Oh, there was one pic from me I didn't even remember anymore
I miss mostly the way I used to play an hour or so almost every day, TBO on SO1/FE green... I was in my teens back then, so it left me very good memories of a "time when everything was easier and simpler". My friend JetroPag (if someone remembers him as well) was even a bigger fanatic, he had more time to set up the car etc. I just picked his setups
I just came across a version 0.1M on an old backup cd, I should test that one out
Edit: I still can't believe I have one of the oldest join dates in this thread
Yay, I finally have a new computer so I can play LFS again!
However, I have a problem with anti-aliasing: whenever I turn AA on, I lose all moving trees and other details that aren't part of the track itself. I can manage to play without anti-aliasing, but it seems like a waste. It doesn't make a difference if I use the settings from the Catalyst control center or within LFS itself.
The graphics card is a Radeon HD 5770 running on the newest Catalyst 10.8 drivers under Win 7 64 bit. All other games I've tried run fine when anti-aliasing is turned on. Resolution is 32-bit 1920x1200@60Hz.
Edit: now tested other resolutions, bit depths and refresh rates, didn't change anything.
I believe I have given my opinion on this in another thread (and somebody is still running with a quote from me in his signature ), but basically... Why do you all care so much? I enjoy real racing (i.e. not drifting), but from time to time when I get bored, a nice drifting session is something I can enjoy (although I suck at it). Off course, one should not try to drive a real racing line on a drifting server and vice versa.
Hey, no need to shout. I've seen quite a few places during my life where it says castellano instead of español. If you don't like it, you can change the flag yourself by editing the picture file.
Edit: yeah, no real problems on my end after short testing.
On secondary school (yläaste) our chemistry book actually told to lit up some fuel and then try to extinguish it with water. Needless to say, a table was looking quite hot after that experiment.
I was sitting in the Rally Info at the service park which meant that I was giving information (in Finnish, English, French and a couple of words in Spanish also...) to teams or drivers who passed by and also other people that just wanted some info. Basically our main job was to be an info spot to the teams but as the area was free for anyone to pass by, we also helped tourists and rallyfans
And as the worktimes were organised so I had to work for only half a day, I could use the other half to walk around and even had time to go check the shakedown stage at Laajavuori
(The shakedown is actually quite nice as you see the top cars multiple times, it's free to enter and you get really close to the cars.)
It was fun and I'm planning to go again next year
As to HD footage, the only true HD I've seen of F1 is the 1080i testclip recorded at Hockenheim '03 which you talked about and a screenshot from FujiTV of the '06 race, but that's all. There should be some HD stuff from American series though (Nascar and IRL).
