I had started to look at the D40 but must admit, am confused with the auto-focus features. I should have been more specific in the first post. I'm looking for a camera that has BOTH auto and manual focus/shutter speeds. Does the D40 offer both options?
I am interested in picking up a digital camera and getting into photography. About a year ago I took a class in high school on film photography which used manual everything cameras. I'm interested in digital photography and specifically a camera that allows for manual adjustments of aperture and shutter speed. I've read about DSLR cameras and such but am not sure if i should start with one. Below are some examples of pictures that I am interested in taking. I would like to read some suggestions for cameras, accessories that will be needed, places to buy, what to avoid, what to look for etc. My budget allows no more than 400 USD.
I've always thought of Canada as a nice peaceful country and am planning a vacation there for the summer. We are planning to stay in Montreal. I'd like to hear from Canadians or people who have visited this area. Can anyone from there or who knows the area suggest sites to see, things to do, places to go etc in the Montreal area?
If it helps, I am going with three of my friends and we plan to take Amtrak there (from New York.) We plan to stay for 6-7 days. Any help is appreciated.
In an attempt to keep the topic from being deleted, I would like to hear from some Canadians. I've always thought of Canada as a nice peaceful country and am planning a vacation there for the summer. Can anyone from Canada give me ideas of a place to stay or places that are more touristy than others? I'm not looking to go crazy, only to enjoy my 5 days there
If it helps, I am going with three of my friends and we plan to take Amtrak there (from New York) to make it more adventure like heh. We plan to stay for 5-7 days so British Colombia might be ruled out of the question (i think the Amtrak ride there is 2 or 3 days on the train).
So lets take a look at what you just said.
1. Americans are ignorant
2. Ignorant people live happier lives
3. Americans live in America
Conclusion= Americans live happier lives and since all Americans are ignorant and live in America, America is a happier place .
You are again generalizing. Btw, the internet on which you post, and play LFS (because you clearly do not use it for research) was invented by a British man.
lol
I pretty much laughed my whole way through that. Anyone reading what you just wrote will see the ignorance in you. America a third world country? You've got to be kidding. When did i ever claim that America did things first? Also, all American inventors are Scottish? Nice generalization there. Have you sat through any level of education? You do know that the first man in space was not American right? I don't remember if it was you or someone else that said America needs to be pushed around and taken over etc. Well, we were, and unlike most other countries, we actually did something about it. You are jealous because America was able to stay powerful and independent.
I think it is sad, that no other nation knows what its like to walk around and see skyscrapers 1,400 ft tall or Wall St. and think that America has the most powerful economy in the world...to see nuclear submarines and the Pentagon and think that America has the most powerful military in the world..to look at the White House and the Capitol and think, America has the strongest democracy in the world.
From what i can tell, you know nothing about American History and although Wikipedia is not a reliable source at all, it is good for the most general pieces of info (which in your case would be like reading gold). America has plenty of History to be proud of. I suggest you take your ignorant ass over there and start reading. Maybe navigating a United States website will be difficult for you. As such, i will supply you with a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_of_America
I also suggest that you consider certain things that you take for granted and/or use every day. You will realize that most of them are American inventions.
What is your point? Everyone nation in the world has stereotypes that are unavoidable. Why do people bitch about getting their country made fun of? I know who I am. I don't need stereotypes to tell me that. I'm an American and I like burgers. Woopdeedoo
i would pay a hitman to shoot you, then have him steal everything that you bought with your lottery money. that way you won't exist, and i will have all my money back.
