which means my pc is not gona cut the mustard (no support for XP! wtf)
Thanks guys, i was under the impression that you could watch the archived streams just like they were live. the problem i have now is my shitty dsl connection downloading @ 25kb/s .
Could someone try to view some of these races broadcast over at PSRTV, i cant get them to work on my pc & just wanted to check that they do actually work. http://www.psrtv.com/archive/index.php
Pls dont rush to buy content, i have heard so many people say 'i wish i had bought x instead of x'. Only make purchases when you are sure you are ready & you've done your research. It also helps if you like the look of the season calender for a particular car.
If you make it to D 4.0 in oval & your feeling confident I can recommend the Silverado. Where are you in road?
You can gain SR by running quali sessions also but a clean race is the best method. My only purchase on the oval side has been the truck & its friggin awesome. Got me my B licence in less than a week.
If you cant be bothered to spend $5 on a months trial then you would be better off sticking with LFS/Rfactor. iRacing costs money.
Hey Wilko, i'll try to be there. I reckon the skip or spec racer would be a lot more fun tho. Jetta's tend to get boring on long tracks.
Thats my point really, its not the kind of information they should expect us to hunt around the forums for. As it stops from using the software completely then it should be announced properly for everyone to see.
edit: site been down for over 3 hours now, this better be good.
edit: good point BV if they left the verification part up at least we could run some practice.
It would be nice if they could let us know when the sites going to be down.
Would it take much to add it to the scrolling info bar on the front page the day before it happens?
Not fair on the Aussies tbh, fri night & you cant use the most expensive software thats on your pc.
Just completed my second truck race where i ran in 2nd for most of the race. On lap 73 the rear got away from me & i just managed to save it but i lost time & ended up fourth. Quite pleased to have made it to the finish but it could have been so much better.
Sure is a big step but its so much better, sobo with the legend is a nightmare. Cant believe you guys race on that in RL. I ran a 31 flat last night & looking to finish my first race tonight.
+ dodged my first wreck ! ,that was very satisfying. I let out a loud yesss! as i ducked under the mess, but it wasnt to be as my set got loose after 20 & i lost it going through the tri oval. .rpy up on ir forum
Anyone running the trucks @ Charlotte this week? I thought i'd give it a go before my sub expires, despite not being a fan of oval it really is quite good.
Ive noticed that too. Legends @ Lanier used to be a wreck fest but these last two months its been quite clean. My oval SR is actualy going up, which is a bloody miracle considering my recent road form.
If they were going for a stealthy look, why didnt they just go the whole hog & paint it in asphalt grey? Looks like a half hearted attempt @ camouflage to me.
Entry fees range from £70 up to £110
Once you have your suit, helmet & licence your good to go.
Prescott is one of my local hills & i agree with you about the MSA rule changes its crippling the sport & they dont even know it. The go racing pack for a start is silly money just for an application form.
Its even more frustrating when there is nothing wrong the equipment you already have & you are forced to purchase newer spec stuff.
I agree Tristan & i am in that exact same boat wanting to race but only being able to afford to sprint. Also the boredom factor of racing up the same strip of tarmac over & over can sometimes take the edge off things. The best remedy for this is a faster car & then when you have mastered that, an even faster one & so on.
As it happens ive always fancied a go @ MR2 racing, fancy a trade? Obviously it will require a bit more financial outlay on my side. Either way you could run your MR2 @ a hillclimb no probs. Tell you what, I challenge you a shared drive.
