There's a jumper on the mb that resets the bios. Look in the manual.
Don't know if your mb has this function, but the new Asus boards usually have a button you can press to let it automatically adjust the bios according to the installed ram modules.
Check on the root of your windows partition if you have a boot folder. If so, then the partition you made might not even being used, as the repair you ran from the install DVD reconstructed the bootloader on the windows partition instead.
You can also use Windows bootloader to boot Windows and Linux, instead of Grub. Maybe that will work better. Just make sure when installing Ubuntu that you don't install Grub loader to the mbr, but to the Ubuntu partition. Then you can use EasyBCD in Windows to manage the bootloader.
Good question. Try this first: make sure the Windows partition is a primary one and set active. Then run the repair option from the Windows 7 install DVD. If this doesn't work you can try the following method I found on sevenforums.com.
Windows 7 uses a separate 100MB partition for the bootloader, if it's installed on an empty drive. Otherwise it resides under \boot folder in the system partition. In Jacks case it might be that the boot partition is wiped. There's no ntldr, fixboot and fixmbr in Windows 7.

Actually, imo they should see it as a challenge and choose the underdog car, and try to win a championship with it. Which as far as I know, have never happened in a GT league in LFS. To me that would be WAY more impressive than the usual stuff with the FZR at the top. But I guess they don't have enough balls to try and take on the mighty FZR. Kudos to those that have though.
If you have installed XBMC Dharma beta 2, which I suggest, you go to System -> Add-ons and choose Install from zip file. Then browse to and select the Navi-X zip file you downloaded. After that you can start the Navi-X plugin from the Programs menu in the home screen.
Putting a harddrive from another computer in, and expect it to boot, is very likely not gonna happen, unless the hardware specs are almost completely the same.
