distcc together with ccache would surely have speeded up the compiling, but I can't be arsed doing it atm. System works just fine as it is now, and soon a Lucid Lynx based XBMC Live will be out. Although I really would have prefered that they based it on Gentoo. Much easier to maintain and keep up to date. For example, Ubuntu is always 2-3 kernel revisions behind Gentoo, which sucks. And when new versions of Ubuntu is released, almost everything in it is outdated already.
