This has been suggested since the pre S1 days I think...

This feature could also mean a comeback of the qualify function. After all cars have finnished the track gets switched a qualify of 5 minutes or whatever the admin selects starts, after that the race is held. When finnished the track is switched again etc etc...

This also prevents the eternal shift+r waiting... so maybe even if this feature is not implemented an auto-restart feature can be fixxed, once again after x amount of time after all cars have finnished.. or make more parameters admin selectable..

It was even suggested once that this could be a nice way to hold mini leagues... 3 tracks make up the league, you get points for each finnish and after 3 races you see a nice standings post, that gets reset again.. again the amount of track in the minileague can be set by admin, maybe even the points system can be set by admin.. If you join on the second track you get a DNF in the standings for the first race. But next "season" you can join in again..

But I guess Scawen has his reasons not to have coded in the feature a long long time ago

There is a way way overpopulation... of humans.. a few humans less that die of "natural causes" couldn't hurt (sorry sorry sound a bit harsh not trying to disrespect someone) But in a general way of think I don't think it is helping natural selection, and thus the evolution our species by having everyone not able to survive on their ow kept alive for 40 years in a hospital. And not even giving them the choice if they even want to.... But indeed this is all a bit offtopic.. so might move the discussion there

Hehehe, I actually would like to see racing done with enviroment friendly cars, like electro/solar/hydro orwhatever cars... not like the endu type thing in Aussie but on normal track with lap times and gaps etc etc.. think it would be a big boost to the technologie and a big boost to public interest.. oil is running out, and more and more people have astma or what not due to polution..

Or maybe races with a set limit of fuel.. say 10 liter for 1,5 hours of racing orso Who can get the fastest with the least use of fuel

Do you know alcohol is way more harmfull and addictive then canabis? But still most country's have a no go on canabis. And this is all due to our culture and has nothing to do with facts... a bit like they burned people for think the earth was round instead of flat

Weight adding is not always the solution IMHO, add some weight in your lx4 tank it the car handles alot better... weight distribution allong the car body has a great effect on handeling.. thus just simply adding weight could actually make a car easyer to control and faster trough and out of turns..

I'm not sure what needs to be done to the TBO class for the cars to be similar on the long run. (balancing is not just a WR/1 lap thing IMHO, but tire/fuel usage should also be taken in to account, the GTR class and endu leagues clearly show this).

IMHO why make classes if the league are forced to go one car only?

IMHO, balancing out can be done by adding wheight or reducing HP/Torque or a milion other things..

It was once said they could not balance it out in just some patch since all replays would be lost etc. etc. Well they just released a patch that forced this. I can understand Scawen, Eric and Victor having more on their hands then to test a car balacing HP by HP, Kilo by Kilo, but isn't that a thing beta testers can do?

It just gets me worked up when I corner faster in my rb4 and the xrt who made a mistake still catches me on the straights.. let alone the fxo, fxo is just not in the same class... This is the very problem that after a while got me very dissapointed in S1, please please plz don't let it happen to S2 again.

The idea of classes is very nice, some people like FWD other RWD or AWD. And classes lets all these people come together and enjoy them selfs (the main point of a game/hobby). I love LFS, been here for a long time, planning to stay here for a long time to come. But forcing servers to run RB4&XRT only, or league to go one car only just for the sake of fair competition is not a plus

Well, since most responses here think FXO should keep its advantage. And people should not complain I'll stop now, just thought it was taking an awfull long time for an "ancient" class like TBO to be balanced....

Hmm I think my point is being missed a bit... Now people can't know that the skin they are using was not intended for them. Thus I think before you even start looking for crackable solution.....
Just create an option for LFSW uploaded skins to be marked for public use or not, thus players atleast know that the skin they like so much is actually a private skin of someone or of a teamskin etc etc

IMHO it never hurt to try and find a solution, leaving it as is is kinda giving up on mankind

As stated before, the protection doensn't have to 100% watertight, be creating a few hurdles can never hurt (most people are to lazy/dumb to crack it) plus I think some users might not know it is a teammembers only skin.. it works the other way around 2, what if you create nice skins you would like everybody to use at their free will, wouldn't you like a feature that promotes those skins? Thus indeed create a difference between Private and Public skins? I think most users will go by this simple rule only.. "aah I see it is a private skins, ok, I wont use it, and look for a nice public skin"...

You could then even have a little warning send to server admins, playerX is using a private skin that he aint aloud to use.. then admins could chose them self to give a warning/kick/ban or what just tolorate....

So to summarize, dont go for an all out protection like the demo/S2 unlock protection, but just a simple feature telling users what skins they can use for themself, and what skins skinners would like to keep for them selfs...

Just my 2 cents...

I think if more people would join an emty server and set their favorite combo that aint driven that much, wait a few minutes till others join... once you have like 4 people in a server things start to speed up and more players join...

So it is a matter of not acting like sheep all the time and joining the 13 players in a server game, but try joining that one guy on this combo you havn't done yet... you might find out that it is fun !

Well you can bind a button to clutch, I did so on my wheel, this allows you to push a button and the clutch will be pushed down...

I use it in combination with an other button on which I have bound my handbrake, so I can play around with the car

just look under options at the controls page, not that hard to find...

Just went to an emty server, selected a track and started, after a few meters joined spectator and went to inferno for a setup, came back tried to join, but not aloud to join midrace, but the server was emty so the race would never end... I was not able to vote for restart or so, because I was not in the race... solution, leave the server join it again and dont go spectate if your the only one on the server...

simple bug, hope it is as simple to solve
